I'm using more Valmont and it's replacing several of previous BR favorites. (Along with MBR which I learned about from your videos). Trips to The Spa at Montage Laguna tempted me to keep trying more Valmont products (specifically their l'Elixir Des Glaciers items) and I'm hooked. Can't wait for you to review the l'Elixir Des Glaciers serums and creams. Haven't loved their foundations but I'm going to give both (liquid and power) of them a second try in a new season. I gave Valmont' l'Elixir Des Glaciers foundation a second try (I have the rosy beige color). I love it this time. My skin is in better condition that was the first time I tried it plus I was traveling. Don't know why I haven't yet learned trips are not the best time to try new makeup! The Rosy Beige is just my color, too and I find it difficult to find the right foundation color. Glad you brought it up!
Desi, So happy to see you post. While I’m thinking of it, have you tried the Cellcosmet brand? I don’t recall you ever mentioning it in prior videos. I’ve tried one of their popular products, the Active tonic and was impressed. But was curious if you had experience w the brand.

Yes, I have tried Cellcosmet. The only thing I didn’t like are the scents and the textures. Some tend to be quite heavy on the skin but overall they have some interesting formulas. A little overpriced in my opinion.

After watching this video I went on Valmonts website and placed a huge order. I am def not rich not even a little bit but I know when Desi says a brand is good it’s good. I know that my hard earned change is going to go to something that is going to actually show results. I was out of skincare and looking to invest in a new skincare line and this video popped up just in time. I haven’t started using the products yet so I can’t tell you how they perform just yet but wanted to come on here and tell you about what I think so far. Starting with the packaging. The packaging is very luxe but in a vintage simple type of way. I love the white glass bottle with the gold and the light sea green lettering. It is aesthetically pleasing to look at on my vanity. The packaging that the bottles come in is very luxe as well and also has that vintage vibe. The scent which is what I was most curious about since Desi had the eye rolling lol when she smelt the cream is very nice. It isn’t as strong of a scent as per se LaPrarie if you have smelt that skincare line but more on the line of Lamer in terms of the scent being strong. It also has a vintage type of smell to me. It smells like an expensive skincare line. I don’t get spa scent but vintage floral maybe. I don’t think the scent would be to pleasing to a younger generation but I am 41 and I appreciate the scent as it gives me nostalgia from the 80s lol. The shipping was super fast as I ordered it straight from the website. It don’t come in a fancy gift box like LaPrarie and some of the other skincare lines put there items in but I don’t keep those boxes anyways. The website does offer free samples and if you spend more you get a few extra goodies which we all love. Also the shipping on their site is free and they do offer a 10% off promo code with the signup link.

The Valmont Teint Precioux has a matte velvet, more natural finish. The Majesteux has a dewy, glowy finish. It’s super hydrating.
I have normal to dry skin and definitely prefer the Precioux because it gives me the most satin, natural finish. The Majesteux, on me, is almost mask like and is recommend for someone with very very very dry skin instant unless you like a very dewy look.

Hi, Desi! Do you still use a BR finishing serum after the Valmont moisturizer? Is a finishing serum even really necessary? Having my first BR facial in a couple of weeks and want to be careful with what I purchase. I already use Calesim and LOVE it! Want to now purchase Valmont moisturizer. Thanks for your new video…. The BR finishing serum is definitely an extra step that I usually combine with other BR products. I like it for its protective and smoothing properties under makeup but definitely optional.
I’d love to hear about your BR facial though so please, let me know how it goes. 😄
I will! Initially she wanted me to switch over to all BR once I finish Calesim. I won’t do that based on the efficacy of Calesim so far and what you and others are saying about BR reformulations.

Hello Dessi, what about their priciest collection, l"Elixir des glaciers skincare? Do you think it is worth splurging on it, does it really make a huge difference compared to their v-line for instance? I mean the skincare strictly, about the foundation I already know from you that it is fabulous but I am not a foundation wearer. Or at least not yet.
Hi! I’ll dedicate a future episode on L’Elixir. At that price level, there is competition so the science behind has to be analyzed and explained more.
@@desistark Veru, very true!!! Thank you! And please, please, could you make a dedicated in-depth video about the MBR products that you already know well? There is nothing on you tube practically. And maybe some comparisons between similar products MBR - Auteur such as the MBR Cross Lift Serum and the Auteur Line serum? Is it worth paying more to MBR? Or is it just marketing? With Auteur they give at least free shipping starting with a threshhold, they have the sample kit which is so worth it, they give freebees and overall their prices are much better. MBR just does not care at all about competition and anything in my opinion. I tried to put products costing more then 1000 EUR in the basket just to see if at least at such a valurle they offer free shipping within EU and nothing... This is why I would need to know from such a knowledgeable person as you in this luxury skincare field. Once again, thanks a lot for all your work, I watch your videos again and again, this is how much I like them. Odeta

Auteur is more aggressive for reversing signs of aging but I only use at night as it’s not intended to put makeup on top and most products that I recommend contain retinol. Valmont is a great every day / morning skincare, sits perfectly under makeup and keeps you hydrated all day.

Im obsessed with this brand too but I wanted to see if you could put down the order w]in which you apply some of these. Like i know with eye creams it goes on last right? But i heard that V EYE FIRM is a gel so i wondereed it it makes sense to go on before the moisturizer with a creme?
Yes, the VFirm eye cream is more on the gel side so I always use it before another eye cream or before my face moisturizer. Good point!!
Just got Valmont lumipeel , already feel the difference after a week! A new love and must in my routine…. I’m looking at their eye creams, which one would you suggest as a newbie to Valmont.
I love it!! The Lumi line is impressive. Try the Bubble mask if you have a chance in the future as well.
For an eye cream - the V-firm is my favorite but recently I’ve been using the V-Line Lifting and it’s amazing as well. These two will give you everything. If you simply need brightness and hydration, then I’d get the Det02x.

I have tried The Best eye and “the beast” is right on. 😄It’s one of those that you need a long time to see change. I’d give it another 6 months but it definitely improves things…

La Prairie almost never offers discounts. Valmont doesn’t either. They offered me this exclusive (without strings) temporary discount code (without the need to subscribe) probably because I talk about their products anyway. 😄
Valmont is really expensive in the UK. Is it cheaper in the states
The US $ is very strong right now through conversation so we always pay a bit less on EU products but Valmont is a luxury brand so even here, it’s not cheap.

You might have answered this already , but what is your most favorite line of all time if you had to narrow it down to just one?
I may have answered when it comes to makeup. Skincare is difficult to say and it changes with time depending on my needs. Best I can do today is Top 5😄: Auteur, Calecim, MBR, Valmont, La Prairie.
@@desistark I seen immediate improvement with plumping and smoothness with the Valmont samples that I’ve been using. I’m 35 but I have acne scarring and texture. Do you think I would like Auteur even more than Valmont for my skin concerns? And which would you recommend?
