Desi, I’m ordering the Valmont foundation! It’s non-negotiable! I have the La Prarie, the Valmont, Sisley le Teint and the Chanel Sublimage le Teint. They put the Surratt Dew Drop, By Terry Serum, Dior Matre, Dior Glow, Chantecaille future skin and Cle de Peau cushion to second class in my book!
@@Nathalie_JackieI ordered the cle de peau cushion foundation as per Desi’s recommendation in another video. I’m so excited to try it out! May I ask with what primer do you find it most beautiful?? 🙏🏼🥺
@@N3dita Hi, the cushion foundation was a bit dry for me but when I found the Chanel pearly glow illuminatrice, then the cushion foundation became so beautiful like glass skin but looking hydrated (not too dewy).
Hi Dexi, I can confirm that the Hermes blushes and highlighter are absolutely beautiful. I have to pick up the powder and the bronzer. I have their lipstick in Rose Bruyere and it’s so lovely, I can’t detect any sense from the lipstick at all. I’m very impressed at the quality of Hermes beauty.
Sisley hydra teint is great for summer vacation etc. Not a lot of coverage but it's so quick and easy to apply. And it's not greasy at all like the older version of Sisley tinted moisturizer
I am in love with Chanel Sublimage le Teint in shade BD01, it’s so beautiful on my skin like it’s made for me. I would like to pick up the No.1 Chanel in BD01 to try out. For now I have so many beautiful expensive foundations, I have to use them before I get any new one.
Hi Desi, Nice recommendations! Almost all of them are very good with some exceptions. The full coverage concealers are not good if you are (very) dry under eye no matter what eye cream you use under. The Sisley one makes my skin looks terrible with wrinkles I didn’t know I have.:)) The Hourglass concealer I tried in store and is too dry as well. So far Dior Forever Concealer is the only one I can use (good cover, good hydration and it doesn’t crease) but oxidises. So I still looking for the perfect concealer with good cover, very good hydration, long lasting and it doesn’t oxidise. Sisley powders are perfection for me (very good for dry to normal skin). Same with Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation (for light to medium coverage). I love Hermes makeup including lipsticks (I don’t detect any strong fragrance). TF blushes are good and Surratt blushes I didn’t try (not available in Australia). My favourites blushes are from Hermes (only the ones you mentioned-satin formula), Gucci, Armani and Sisley. Can’t wait to see Part 2!🙂
I love your note!! 💛Thank you! That’s a good feedback on the concealer. We have to work on getting better skincare for your under eye area for hydration. 😄 Australia is a place I’ve never been and definitely on my list. 💛💛💛
Hi Desi, Great video, and can’t wait for part 2. Would love to see an update of your skincare routine AM and PM. Wondering if you’ve tried the Surratt concealer. It’s great for us with dry under eyes and mature skin. Hope to see your part 2 soon. Any idea where to try on the Valmont foundation? I live in San Diego, so pretty close to your area. Can’t seem to find it down here. Thanks so much!
Hi!! Thank you!! 🌹 Yes, I like the Surratt concealer too. 💛 Saks 5th should have the Valmont foundation. They used to carry it exclusively but now Nean Marcus started carrying select products as well. Yes, I’ll probably be doing more Shorts as well soon including my skincare routines. 💛💛💛
Thank you for this video, Desi! I bought the Cle de Peau anti-aging Foundation and it is amazing…. Along with your recommended Tom Ford Bronzer and blush which I’m also loving! I really appreciate your videos so so much! Thank you! I can’t wait to see Part 2!
Hi Desi, so great to see you. You looking beautiful as usual🙌. I havent tried any of Sisley primers. Valmont foundation is the most amazing. I have in 2 shades, the one that is more hydrating. And yep i always say that after you wash it off, the skin feels, the same, as using their Masque, from the same line, which is the most amazing. I havent tried any Cle de peau foundations. So your most favorite one, i am putting on my lst😜. I love Chanel Le teint, mostly i wear that in winter, well whatever gets cooler, here in SF. I also love Chanel water fresh one. I dont care much for the other one , the OG is my choice . Concealer to me is Chanel Sublimage, the one and only. I dont use any others anymore. And yes yes Hermes products are the most amazing. Love all. My favorite bronzers apart Chanel , are Surratt as well. And blushes Hermes the best. Love Suqqu pure color blushes, and Suratt as well. Well also Chanel LE fall blushes, and everything Chanel released for holidays. Also love TF LE highlighter in rose. I am not a powder girl, but my absolute favorite is Chantecaille Eclat, a few years back, holiday collection, and they just released very similar one for holidays, but in rose, more brightening. Its on my list🙏. Love Chanel Sublimage highlighter and Gucci as well. And cant not to mention, Dolce & Gabbana , their Devotion collection glow powder . And mascara love both . Have a blessed day🙏❤️
I enjoy it ! Do you like the Hermès skin tint ? Nobody is talking about it but it sounds great as all the others products. According to bronzer I love Gucci and Valentino ; love the Koh Gen doh aqua foundation and alllllll the Cle de peau foundation! Merci Desi
Thank You! Just love your favourites Desi. It is a very well curated collection when you boil it down to three products in each category. I don't buy a lot of makeup generally, but love your recommendations and find them a good guide for my purchases as I love your look. I have a different skin tone but adjust accordingly. It is very natural and classy at the same time. Thank You again.
Desi have you tried Chantecaille Radiant Glow Blur Powder? The one in their recent holiday collection? It’s fabulous. I’m using it to brighten my face in a similar way you use the Hermes Powder!!! It’s a little glowy but it perfects and smooths!!! Just beautiful
I have the Sisley Double Tenseur, I need to get the Instant Glow and Instant Perfect from Sisley. I have the La Prarie Skin Caviar foundation but it didn’t make it to your list!
Hi Desi, just to let you know, if you like Japanese made brushes, BoBo Do has a 20% off for Black Friday. I ordered the Chikuhodo and Tansedo brushes yesterday!
Hi Desi, I should have phrased my question this way: how do you apply your Cle de Peau’s cushion foundation with that much success and I can’t. Can you share some tricks? I have it and I really want it to work! Thanks
@@desistark I originally found it a bit dry so I applied the Chanel luminatrice pearly glow before the foundation and it works beautifully. I don’t hate the brand anymore.
Thank you so much❤. Have you tried the Cle De Beau primers, what are your thoughts on them? For concealer, I’ve been loving the Chanel sublimage concealer you might want to consider that one.
Thank you!! 💛 Yes, I occasionally use the Cle de Peau primers as well. I’m noticing that especially now when it’s dry, they don’t give me enough hydration. But overall both are quite nice.
Hi! 💛 The Sisley Loose is a touch better especially if you want just a bit more coverage - it’s buildable without any heaviness. But you can’t go wrong with either.
Always look forward to your videos Desi. Appreciate your hard work in putting this together for us. Would you consider at some point sharing some of your favourite fragrances? Thank you
I love your videos and I always look forward to them My question is about the Hermes powder..Would you buff your makeup with this powder instead of the La praire? Also what are your thoughts on the Cle De Peau pressed powder compared to others? Thanks!
Thank you!! 💛💛💛 The Hermes powder is quite brightening so you could potentially buff especially if your foundation is too deep. The La Prairie is definitely my preferred method though.
Hi Desi, Cle de Peau offers 25% off for Black Friday, code VIP, starting today! So I bought the Cle de Peau The Foundation- in your list for 5 of the most expensive foundations in the world. So now I have three: Valmont Teint Précieux, La Prarie Caviar and CDP the Foundation!!
Yay!!! I have been hoping you would do this!! I so trust your recs. Can't wait to try the Chanel foundation and Hermes blushes!! The only rec that did not work for me was the hourglass concealer, I don't know why!! So strange but it made my under eyes look so dry. I use the Chanel sublimage. Hope are well! Thanks again!!
I was ready to to buy the La Prairie cushion foundation but now I don’t want to since is not in the list and I want to run and get the last 2 you mentioned.
Hi! The La Prairie cushion was not in production until Feb of this year. I think this video was made before that. I’m working on best 10 foundations now. Will be posting soon. 😄

Absolutely not. I’m still a big fan of La Prairie but I had to pick just one full coverage. It would have been a very very long video if I had listed all products I love.
Hi Desi, thank you for your video. I have a lot to agree with you but also many to disagree with you. First of all, the Cle de Peau’s cushion foundation is mediocre compared to the Sisley Le Teint, Chanel Sublimage and La Prarie. I gave Cle de Peau a 3-star for their foundation and stop buying their brand. Second, the Givenchy powder is not that great. It may be popular on Social media but we’re luxury lovers, we should not succumb to the opinions of the crowd. Thanks
