Hey you can use a grid line or college ruled background. To make handwriting easier, and it will make handwriting on a touch screen device just like a gridline paper or college ruled paper.

Hi I do have a question I'm starting my nursing school this aug. and i was wondering if you also decided to get your books in a pdf form or like ebook? Or do you just use a phsyical book to study?
Honestly as a student I find that the best thing to do is use both apps . Notability for PowerPoint annotations and rough notes and GoodNotes for final notes and personalization I font that works best for me.
One of the great things about digital notetaking is that there are different apps to suit different needs! :)

Just discovered that accidentally in class yesterday!
This was awesome! I’m currently using OneNote and GoodNotes, because in my third year of Education we have a lot of classes in which we don’t have a power point to help us, and writing them is becoming a little bit complicated for me, so I’m writing everything in OneNote and then make mindmaps in GoodNotes. Both of them highly recommended. Only in my biology class we have PowerPoints, which I take notes in GoodNotes.

That is a really great way to do digital notes too. The fun thing is you can mix and match a lot of digital notetaking styles, such as how you are doing it! OneNote is definitely the best for lecture notes without powerpoints, imo. :) Thank you for watching!

I just got the GoodNotes 5. Is there a way to create different dividers on the notebook or can that only be done with folders?

Hi, love your videos and it helped me a lot! But i struggle the most with storage problem, since my icloud only has 5gb, i cant store that much esp with recordings every lecture, may i ask how to save all the notes either in goodnotes or notability in the ipad device? ( i know that there are other options like drive, dropbox, etc but i would love it to be stored in my ipad storage)
I just bought Goodnotes for my iPad before doing much research into Notability. Would you say that it would be beneficial to have both, or should I just stick with Goodnotes?
you can sort through goodnotes in a list view!
Hey Janice love your videos... Really helpful... Can you please also illustrate how to take the automatic backup in GoodNotes and how is it different from iCloud Sinc...
Tbh im gonna use OneNote for stuff that notability uses such as recording at the same as you annotate slides during lecture and gives you unlimited space for actual notes. OneNote at least helps you sync them to any device and is free! Then use GoodNotes as a notebook to take better notes and guides!
I’m using notability but the organisation of notes is limited and is beginning to get frustrating. I contacted them to request more control on organising files so fingers crossed that will be an update soon!

@@ManUnitedChants7 I used both for different things, the main is goodnotes and when I want to move something to onenote, i export it in PDF, But it is not the common use that i give. I use Onenotes for brainstorming, for work log that i want to have it on my ipad and window laptop.
Can I use notability in my Ipad to make notes and upload them in google drive and edit/review them using one note in my laptop (windows10)??
You could definitely insert the Notability notes as PDF into your OneNote, however you would not be able to edit the text on the notes as they were written on Notability. You'd likely only be able to add text/annotations to it and highlight.

You can have 2 GoodNotes documents open at the same time. You can even have the same document open twice to compare different parts of the same document
Hi there, can I ask how did you arrive at choosing the size and the capacity of your iPad Pro?
She uses the entrylevel iPad (2018 6th gen) in 32gb. I might be mistaken butter she probably has a video on that.
Do you prefer GoodNotes or Noteabity for students? I currently use GoodNotes for planning however the recording feature for lectures is ver nice
I don't use the recording feature much - Notability loses a couple points for me because their highlighter goes over the text not under 😂
Which do you actually prefer, writing the notes or typing them?
I've been using notability all these while to write notes, but sometimes there are too much information and I get tired of writing them... I only have an ipad, so would u recommend typing in onenote or notability?
I'm wondering this too. I watched both videos on OneNote and Goodnotes, and I'm torn on how I should be using each of them. I like typing because it's faster, but I probably remember the content better when I write. I like how in her OneNote video she types her notes quickly from lectures, but then spends time re-writing, highlighting, adding handwritten notes on the iPad, and restructuring the page. I might try that and see how it goes. I don't have powerpoint slides to annotate, just video lectures, so I need to type all my notes from scratch.
I already use Google Docs and Sheets for assignments and trackers, and OneNote for research via web clippings. Trying to limit how many programs I use and limit to specific purposes.

bade you dont have to buy the newest iPad theres plenty of tablets out there that are cheaper than 500 dollars (or whatever fits into ur budget) theres the 10.2 inch 128 gb iPad (which I dont have btw but its a great iPad) which is around 550 (U.S) dollars and 720 (Canadian) dollars which is amazing and works absolutely great w the 1st gen apple pencil or any other cheap stylus theres also smaller iPads w 128 gb storage as well but its up to u to decide if u still want a tablet ofc gl

I mainly bought the iPad for note taking, mainly for PowerPoints. So you would suggest notability for PowerPoint note taking is better?

@@abhaythakur2949 First year is the best time to try and integrate iPad into your learning system but it will take time. First write class notes in notebook and practice copying the same into your iPad. Then slowly try to do the same while in class. If you can make it work it will be awesome.. 👍

What is the best way to import your powerpoints into goodnote?
Personally I save PowerPoints as PDF files and import them from Google Drive or Airdrop! :)

Can we crop pictures on good notes as well?
As far as I know, you cannot crop pictures in GoodNotes 5, you can only resize/rotate them :)

The way you say process sounds funny or weird but I don’t mind how you pronounce process.
fun fact annotating complete powerpoints does absolutely nothing for your learning lol my lecturer who’s a researcher in memory and learning bans it from our classes. annotating incomplete lecture slides is the way forward!
I was planning to do this after seeing other students doing it, thank you for this fact! :)
I hated when my professors uploaded incomplete lecture slides because the classes weren't recorded. If I missed a class, there was no way to get that information later except for asking my friends, who sometimes didn't take notes or had info gaps.
