- Hi I'm Karen! Today I'm showing you how I take pretty and effective notes on my iPad Pro. I also show a flip through of my digital notes.

this was actually so helpful 😭 i graduated and i'm in highschool now and i find digital note taking so much easier and effective than writing on paper. my new goal is to have handwriting like yours lol :)
Did you graduate from middle school with this aesthetic note taking strategy. If so, where did it help? Possibly long division? If not, the spelling bee?
@@DownWithTheCygnus I did too, though not using this video. Im pretty bad with math but I take IB art so visuals are very pleasing to me, I lost a lot of points on quadratics during my mid-terms in middle school and I feel like organizing my notes gave me the extra push I needed at the time.
Also, I don't know about you dear, perhaps it's been a while and you don't quite remember, but we learn long division in 2nd grade.

@@DownWithTheCygnus Indeed I took the IB primary years program up till 8th grade, switched to IGCSE during 9th and 10th, and now I'm doing the IB diploma.

I’ve had an iPad for 6 years and used the standard notes app that it came with almost every day, but I never really considered downloading an actual good notes app until this week 😂 honestly it’s getting me so organised I love it!

I love the title thingyyy Its actually genius ngl. I've always wanted to have good looking titles and this seems like a very easy and most importantly CONSISTENT way of getting the same title all the time~!! thanks for this!!

I’m so proud honestly. As someone who studied Cisco academy, to get pretty notes out of it can get so hard, for programming honestly I haven’t done any notes for example, same for web development. Thank you for this video ❤😊

This is such a helpful video! Thank you for sharing! As a female computer science student, I find it so hard to find good note-taking videos that pertain to the topics I study. It was so great to see how your notes look with things like discrete math and programming algorithms!!
Although this is aimed at student mostly,these tips work very well for any iPad user that takes notes a lot, thanks for this!

I've watched these cool notes on ipad videos for years, so I finally got one and I just use a plain black pen on a standard notebook page :D
People might say it’s a waste of time trying to make ur notes look good but good looking notes keep u motivated to study lol

Have you ever thought about creating your handwriting into a font. A girl I had Anatomy and Physiology with did it and that way she could just type her notes out. She said its faster and more consistently neat than writing.

@@jayyli7204i think what we do is write in a messy way and when u come back home u organise it. Honestly having ipad is quite the dopamine anyway to study.
@@lethall6609 that takes up extra time. I literally just download my prof slides and annotate on them. I have neat penmanship. But sometimes when I write to much my hand cramp lol.

i have been using notability for the past 6 years (my high school gave us iPads and this was the note-taking app they gave us for free) and all these "aesthetic notes" videos make me look like a noob. 😅 i appreciate the tips though!

@@KarenDigital It was alright. The principal was mean and the school district had a lot of strict rules, but the whole using iPads for class made it better. We weren’t even allowed to play games on it, even if we had all our work done, although my teachers never really cared as long as we made the game disappear from our screens if administration came in the room.

you can perharps record your font (there is app for that) and type it out. So much easier and less time consuming.

I have notability but I am a beginner so I only have the standard colors.
I started off with handwritten iPad notes and now I just prefer to do mostly typed notes with a cute font that looks like handwriting 😮

Notability is too expensive, given it’s new yearly subscription feature. i can live with Goodnotes, just paid for it one time and it’s mine

how did you change the sale of the typed letters like the pen size etc when you make the headings??? I can't work it out for the life of me
try using the lasso to select the writing u want to change, then tap somewhere inside of what u lassoed to get the menu to pop up, then tap style :)
If you have the free version of Notability there is a usage limit. I just spent an hour making fonts and I can't use the app again until 7 days from now. Today is August 8th and the limit renews on the 13th. I really like this app but it is such a money grab to make people, who are probably mostly students, pay a subscription to use the thing in the first place. Just like Microsoft Office :c
that’s why goodnotes will always be better. it’s never made sense to me how i’m supposed to pay a subscription service just to keep my notes
I just use the default notes app 😃 its simple but gets the job done

I purchased the premium version of noteability but I’m still having trouble trying to create notebook covers & adding PDF’s to the note section in each divider. Any assistance you can share is greatly appreciated. Oh, by the way, you have a new subbie. 😊
Ok I have a question, I’m pretty sure notability is now a subscription service, instead of a one time pay, so as you purchased notability BEFORE it started charging a subscription fee, do you get to still have it without paying the monthly fee?

i think the subscription is only for certain features like their planners, stickers, and handwriting to text converter. basic note taking is free. if you got notability before the subscription update then nothing changes other than you have the option to subscribe to the extra features
It has put me in the (view only) until I pay but I only want the free note taking.
they need to be functional. aesthetic is just a plus.

Does anybody know if goodnotes has this option for placing letters in the same line automatically, just like she does at 2:36, or it's only available in notability? I've recently started using good notes and I would like to do my titles in a straight line, just like her, but in my case, it doesn't appear any line that helps me to put letter by letter in the same line.
Btw i have a question!!! Does writing on an ipad does the exact same thing as writing on a paper? Like when we are writing on a paper it makes it easier for us to memorise and helps a lot in classes. So does it make the same thing when we write on ipad??

most iPads support note taking now. but you might need to get the 1st generation apple pencil for some iPads. this link lists which iPads are compatible with each pencil: www.apple.com/shop/select-apple-pencil

I bought the iPad Air recently and downloaded notability the place she’s taking notes on is an app for both iPads and phone
This is for people who spend time re-writing notes back in the 1990s. I would just record the class and obtain the script from the closed caption.

Hi this is a question did you buy the Apple Pencil that is $129 or the $17 cause I heard one person said there’s also a knock off of the apple oencil
I bought the pencil from apple ($129). I tried a knock off from amazon but it didn't work well for me at all. If you like to rest your hand on the screen while writing then the more expensive pencil will def work better for you. if not, try a knock off!
I work 40 hrs a wk. How are students able to afford these?
