We still have a long way to go in regards to acceptance of trans people in SK. I think the thing that contributes most to day to day comfort for trans people is the culture of politeness and non-interference towards strangers, rather than any governmental rights.

Having a sibling care for you after surgery is so wonderful tbh. My sister travelled with me for my trans surgery as well, and it was just the two of us. She took good care of me and it was honestly one of the best bonding experiences we’ve ever had. I’m glad you and your sister have each other 💕

It’s a difficult journey, and it takes a lot of patience and learning. It wasn’t always the easiest for us even though we are a super open family; it’s new, and new takes adjustment. The treatment Leah got in Korea, compared to that in the UK is vastly different. I’ve never had anything cosmetic, but I can’t imagine it is this streamlined, clean and professional. This is literally the gold standard that all medical establishments should aim for. I’m so happy for your sister and her hair is fabulous!
Question for the q&a: did Leah ask for anything specific or is the protocol that you just go to the consultation and see what the doctor suggests/says would work with your bone structure?
As a trans person, I wholeheartedly appreciate the fact that leah was appreciated for who she is and was reffered to as a woman throughout as opposed to a trans-woman, yes she is trans, but it isn't her whole personality and isn't always a relevant thing to bring up all the time, it just melted my heart, I'm so happy for leah and that she has taken a massive step in her journey ❤️ love you and your videos ❤️
No hate, but I do think people use the term trans-woman to indicate that they are not in fact the same as a biological woman, I think women have had enough taken away or repurposed in their history as it is. my heart goes out to anyone genuinely born into the wrong body, but differences can be celebrated without this militant demand of "exact sameness"

I'm sure she got it for free. Korean clinics are known in the trans community for sponsoring trans RUclipsrs. They're tricky though, a lot of transwomen went to Korea to get surgery and ended up being botched.
I think it is really wonderful of your sister to share this personal journey with us. It made me emotional to see this happening for her and all of the caring people surrounding her and helping this dream come true. As tumultuous as it is living in this time, it is an amazing time as well because we have come so far in our capabilities of science and our understanding of the human body. Congratulations Leah!

This is so irrelevant and I havent got to the surgery bit yet but Leah is BEAUTIFUL! I'm so pleased she's had such wonderful support and gets the opportunity to feel as beautiful as she is and be in a body that she feels is her own at last ❤

I'm so glad she got this opportunity and was gifted these surgeries tbh, as a transman I know the impact surgery can have on just. everything, really, as a trans person. to see someone so deserving of that happiness actually get it makes my day 😌
