@@glcnornes3783 here's the comment copy pasted: OK this is a VERY long story but I am sure others will ask: I hired him as a translator for 2 shoots and a videographer for 1 shoot before coming to Korea. I had never met him. He claimed to be a professional videographer, yet after he sent me the footage from the very first shoot, that was clearly not the case. the footage was so bad i couldn't use any of it. I thankfully hired 2 videographers for that specific shoot so had enough footage to save the video, but he could've ruined the whole shoot because he lied about his experience and abilities. That evening, he sent me awful texts demanding that he be made the videographer on all of my shoots despite the fact that his footage was bad. I refused by saying that he was hired as a translator for those shoots, which he knew. I didn't want to insult him and so I didn't (at this point) mention how he clearly lied about his videography experience as I still had 2 other shoots with him and wanted to be professional. He continued to be rude. i wanted to tell him not to come to the remaining shoots but at such late notice (1 day), i couldn't get another translator. He apologised once i met him at Cocory. I tried to be professional and tell him that it was fine and to forget about it. However, during the shoot, he repeatedly put himself in front of the camera for no valid reason (I believe for exposure) and the translation help that he provided was terrible. He barely communicated any of what Hee Joo said, often simplifying it to "that looks good" or "that's bad" instead of communicating her insight and so I had to rely on my own Korean. On the final shoot the next day, he continued to offer very poor translation. Thankfully, they had an in-house translator who really was wonderful and helped out. After a few hours I asked him to leave as he was no longer needed. He refused to leave and demanded to be paid on the spot, despite us still being in the middle of filming a video. When i reminded him that the contract said he needed to submit an invoice for the hours worked, it needed to be checked/approved and paid within 7 days, he began to scream at me in front of everyone in the salon. I asked him to come outside where he continued screaming at me and recording me on his phone, demanding to be paid more money than he was owed. He then began calling me a scammer and threatening to "ruin me" when i refused. i tried to explain that he needed to calm down and leave as he was disturbing everyone and being unprofessional; he then went back inside to harass the staff and slander me in korean. This was particularly embarrassing as I had been invited to film there as a guest to make the video - I was not a paying client and this left me mortified. after an hour of him screaming, i just started crying because i didn't know what to do and told the videographer that we should call the police. he eventually left after i wrote a new on-paper contract with him, but he ruined the shoot and i had to formally apologise to everyone in the salon because of his behaviour. He was a 34 year old man. I later talked to a lawyer about whether or not I should pay him given that he ruined two shoots etc. After their advice, I paid him in full for his translation services (which were very bad) and despite the lawyer saying I didn't need to pay him for the videography work as it was unusable - I still offered to pay him a reduced fee for his time. This is on top of paying for all his food and drink whilst on set. Unbelievably, he attempted several times to negotiate a higher rate for his videography work, despite his behaviour and the awful result of his footage. I did not offer him a higher rate, but still paid the original reduce rate I offered and then I blocked him. Genuinely one of the most horrifying professional experiences I've ever had because I felt absolutely cornered and trapped. very scary and unhinged man (i also love dark academia fashion and colour schemes so was very chuffed with my deep winter secondary colour!!)

That makeover is amazing! I mean, this really emphasises how much people on TV, films and famous people in general benefit from having professionals handle their appearance. Ellbat is always looking her best in her videos, and she is gorgeous, but in this video she looks like an actress just walking out of a k-drama. Loved it❤
These colors are spot on. Wow! Your whole face is so much brighter just from the hair color but the makeup really accentuates it. Also, love to see women supporting women
Hey Elle! I'm glad you pointed out that faces where blurred under request however there was a couple of spots where the edit was missed!! Love seeing you enjoying yourself
I’m a hairstylist and I must say you look gorgeous with that color!! The makeup also looks incredible on you even though that awful man made you cry. Props to the Jennyhouse team ❤
I have to pause the video to post that that hair colour looks so insanely fantastic on you! It's so flattering, it's like it put makeup on you. You look younger and healthier with higher contrast. The colour analysis was spot on with that dye colour. Slightly red-brown shades are not a go-to when people get their hair coloured brown. Usually people go for a honey brown, light ash brown, true auburn, chestnut, etc. In this case, somehow this new hair colour looks more natural on you than your natural hair. I think it was the right move to choose the darker colour to contrast your bright skin, but it's not too dark. It's perfect.
You look amazing! Hope there's a wardrobe video too! And so sorry to hear about the translator!!!! I can't believe he thought it was acceptable to behave that way.
The color analysis definitely didn’t let you down. I’ve always been skeptical of if but seeing someone implement it beyond clothing really helps me see it in action and understand it better. I’m SO sorry that translator lost it on you like that. You didn’t do anything wrong and that would be so scary and upsetting. I’m so glad the salon workers made the effort to try and calm you down and cheer you up ❤
Omg these colours look INCREDIBLE on you I'm obsessed!!! The hair colour and makeup just make your features pop and you look so great. I totally get what you're saying about the eyeliner/eyeshadow thing. I also feel like I can't do eyeliner (and tbh eye-makeup in general)-- I really suck at it and this might sound dumb but whenever I try, I honestly feel upset bc I look like a child who raided my mum's makeup and did some face-painting (I am 20 years old😭). I just can't get it right. So I can only imagine how great it feels to have professional makeup artists do your eyeliner the way you've always wanted❤❤ I'm so sorry that translator was so horrible 😭
This colour looks amazing on you! And the makeup is also very lovely- I'm so glad you had such beautiful humans around to support you whilst you had to deal with all that stress ❤
wow is funny how korean you look after the makeover even tho you're not korean 😆 this was such a great work they did, you're glowing, the hair is perfect, you even look younger and and its like your eyes are smiling youth

I've always thought that you're very pretty even when you say you aren't looking your best. This video proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that not only are you pretty. If you want to you can look absolutely stunning!!
As a translator and interpreter, I’m absolutely shocked about that man’s behaviour. This is not how professionals work! A disgrace to our profession, really. I’m so sorry for your bad experience!
You're so, SO beautiful as you are! The color matches were so good though! They just highlighted your beauty. 👏🏼 P.s. The experience looked so relaxing, too 😍
Ellbat replied to a comment about it on her colour theory video: basically, she had hired him as a videographer for one shoot and as translator for two following shoots. He lied about his experience and skill as a videographer, which became immediately apparent after the first shoot. The footage was so bad she couldn’t use any of it, but thankfully she had hired two videographers for that shoot so was still able to make the video with footage from the other videographer. Following that shoot he sent her lots of aggressive text messages demanding to be be videographer for her two following shoots and demanding to be paid more than their initial contract. She didn’t say anything about his poor quality video work but convinced him to remain as translator as she couldn’t find another translator at such short notice and just needed things to stay professional. During the next shooting he kept getting in front of the camera unnecessarily and during the salon visit he was not translating properly only giving very short and simplified answers, to the point that Ellbat asked him to leave as he wasn’t really helping at all. That’s when he threw a tantrum and yelled at her demanding to be paid right now and demanding a higher rate than their contract etc he refused to leave and made a big scene, which require her to formally apologise to the staff and customers in the salon, and even coerced her into writing a new paper contract before he left. There’s more in her comment but that’s the summary basically of what she said.

Ellbat, you look amazing! Jenny House seems to know how to bring out your natural beauty. I'm so glad they chose the darker hair color- absolute perfection!!!
I have no idea why :( they were perfect before I exported the video so I didn’t notice that it was different when I uploaded it; the same for the after pictures at the end, a bunch of them just didn’t export even though they’re perfect in my editor. I tried to add a blur to their faces in RUclips studio once it was live and it got the video dropped from the algorithm :( such a weird situation. [side note] I checked with JennysHouse and they said that they were happy with the video so I think it was more about some of the people not wanting to feel self-conscious whilst they worked rather than genuine privacy concerns which is a relief!
The head and neck massage is pretty much a standard thing at most salons now if you are having hair washed and conditioner applied, well in the UK anyhow. It's not just at expensive salons. It is the BEST part! Just lie back, close your eyes, don't speak for that bit - it's amazing.
I can't tolerate anyone shouting at me for even 1 minute, let alone 1 hour. If anyone raises their voice at my who is a stranger or close to it, i either ask them to leave or remove myself from the situation. Sorry you had to go through that, that's nuts :(
you look SO GORGEOUS!!!!!! literally so so stunning - the makeover was amazing - im also so sorry about your experience with the translator and im so glad youre safe and hope you're okay
Asian beauty saloons are really that different compared to European ones! In Asia, pretty much everywhere, you get a head massage complimentary every time you get your hair colored.
Genuinely one of the most horrifying professional experiences I've ever had because I felt absolutely cornered and trapped. very scary and unhinged man
(i also love dark academia fashion and colour schemes so was very chuffed with my deep winter secondary colour!!)
@@manguy4227thank you so much for being so kind enough in getting us the story. I don’t get why people have to be so rude and not explain in short what happened.😒🥰
The colour they chose for your hair is stunning! It really enhances your natural beauty
my words exactly! she looks stunning! really couldnt believe the difference, her hair looked so full too!
The hair! The beautiful (and subtle) make-up! You look absolutely radiant! Well done!
You look amazing! Hope there's a wardrobe video too! And so sorry to hear about the translator!!!! I can't believe he thought it was acceptable to behave that way.
Did I miss something in the video? Why was he shouting at his own client?
So I can only imagine how great it feels to have professional makeup artists do your eyeliner the way you've always wanted❤❤
I'm so sorry that translator was so horrible 😭
This colour looks amazing on you! And the makeup is also very lovely- I'm so glad you had such beautiful humans around to support you whilst you had to deal with all that stress ❤
I honestly keep coming back to this video and skipping forwards because I can’t get over how stunning she looks at the end!
The hair color suits her sooo much. It makes her skin glow and her eyes pop so much.
You look amazing! The colors give you a vibrant healthy look I love ittttt
Your new hair color is absolutely gorgeous! You look beautiful.
wow is funny how korean you look after the makeover even tho you're not korean 😆 this was such a great work they did, you're glowing, the hair is perfect, you even look younger and and its like your eyes are smiling youth
This hair suits you so well omg! You skin eyes teeth even look so bright & healthy next to it!
I just stumbled upon this video but i have to say what an amazing transformation! You look like a goddess! The makeup and hair is perfect for you in form and color! I never realized how far a simple color consultation can go and now i'm thinking of getting one done myself!
the styling was great. the new color was amazing on you
that hair colour looks so good on you, looks natural... and your complexion came alive.
They absolutely smashed it!! I’m sorry your translator kind of lost his mind, so horrible! But I loved that the staff were so kind and supportive ❤ you look great!
How pretty that hair color looks! So pretty! 🤩
Your new hair colour is beautiful and brightens up your facial features. Your reaction to the reveal reminded me of the princess diaries makeover moment. Very cute!
Damn, your hair really looks amazing!!! And the makeup is so subtle, but you still look like you’re glowing
So the insane translator can get in the bin but OMG YOU LOOK AMAZING!!! 😍 Both the lady at Cocory and the girls at Jenny House did such a good job 🙌🏼🤍
The color for your hair is perfection!! I love how professional they were and you look refreshed!
My only complaint is that we didn’t get a longer after look at you in that nice outdoor lighting…you look stunning!
I’m so mad bc I did put a bunch of “after pictures” at the end & u can even hear the “pops” where the images are meant to be, but they’re not there? I don’t understand :( I’m posting a bunch of them on IG so you can see better tho!!! Sorry about that 💓
Dark blond is your color. Nothing beats natural.
I've always thought that you're very pretty even when you say you aren't looking your best. This video proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that not only are you pretty. If you want to you can look absolutely stunning!!
That was actually an incredible transformation 🙌 what a lovely place
tbh your natural hair color is the best
As a translator and interpreter, I’m absolutely shocked about that man’s behaviour. This is not how professionals work! A disgrace to our profession, really.
I’m so sorry for your bad experience!
Thanks for this neat makeover video Ellbat!
You're so, SO beautiful as you are! The color matches were so good though! They just highlighted your beauty. 👏🏼
P.s. The experience looked so relaxing, too 😍
Lol I'm messy. Why was the translator going off?
I'd like to know too
Ellbat replied to a comment about it on her colour theory video: basically, she had hired him as a videographer for one shoot and as translator for two following shoots.
@@unistudent4002That's beyond fucked up. I wondered why in the color analysis video the guy was giving no detail in his translations. I hope she files charges, especially being that he made her sign some other document. Smh, the entitlement of lying about your experience, then being demanded to be paid more than expected for that experience when you've been caught in your lie. Smmfh
@@unistudent4002whao…some people have problems in this world.
that hair color immediately warmed your face up. I was skeptical but oh my gosh, it came out so pretty.
Having a mum who is a hairdresser honestly sounds like a dream
If a video is recent i try to watch through the sponsor part to support the content creator, and honestly your way of wording things is so interesting
stop this is so sweet 🥹 i really appreciate that !! 💚
@@Ellbat you smooth talker
You should definitely go more to the hair salon back in the uk , I think a lot of people underestimate how good one can feel when their hair is done & they’ve been treated at the hair salon. Any time I go to the salon it’s a time to decompress. They did a good job!
I absolutely adore the makeup artist’s outfit! I would never have thought to wear a one shoulder top over a t-shirt, but you’d better be sure I’ll be trying it! I’m so glad they took care of you after that horrible incident with the translator, too. ❤
I started dyeing my own hair to save money but this definitely makes me miss the proper salon experience. The haircolour suits you so well, it looks so natural
You look absolutely beautiful, I think the colours really suit you, the whole vibe just brings your natural features into focus. Now I want to try a Korean style makeover! 😅
What a beautiful makeover, lovely colours.
Ellbat, you are a beautiful lady with/without makeup and hair, don't ever put yourself down, you are your mothers daughter and she loves you to bits, and in her eyes, you are perfection, and you are, so no more putting your beautiful self down, cheers and love from Ireland
Love this! Jenny House got the goods gurl!
im a bit in love with them
You look like a Disney princess I can't deal with this 😭😭❤
The red-brown hair color is perfect with your blue eyes.
Not only does the make over looks great, so does your outfit!! Everything ties together so nicely and overall you look bright and happy 😊 ❤
They did a wonderful job picking wonderful colours for you. You look fresh and healthy and happy!
It’s amazing what a difference a hair colour can make - you look amazing 😊
I LOVE the hair colour and style 😍😍 perfect!
Wow wow wow. You look like a movie star. Well done to the Salon they did a fantastic job of hair and make up.
Going to the salon for me always feels like such a self-pampering moment.. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
That scalp massage thing is a default in the salon I go to, and I love it, they also have massage chairs while youre in the hair wash and its just soooo nice!
Oh my gosh! Absolutely STUNNING! That colour looks perfect on you! Love the natural makeup too it just makes your natural beauty pop
That hair color makes your skin look like it's ✨ GLOWING! ✨
no, but like... The hair colour is so pretty. It suts you so well. I'm in love
Ive never seen you look this pretty before, I hope you keep this style, especially the hairstyle and the eyelashes are the prettiest.
Elbat! You're gorgeous! That hair color on you made you come alive, it's so complimentary to your complexion. You were pretty before, but that color is stunning 🫶🏻
The hair colour looks really good. I have almost your exact colouring and I find that chocolate brown makes my blue/green eyes pop
They did such a fantastic job on your hair and makeup. You look stunning. I love the eye look and your hair look sleek. You're right that women should be supporting women. I hope they both see these lovely supportive comments.
Thank you Jenny House for looking after our RUclips friend.
STAN LISA!
South Korea slays the makeovers every time
You always look beautiful, but so glad JennyHouse folks made you feel so incredible! The colours are gorgeous!
Hair colour really brings out you eyes. Also love the eyebrows. Nice!
Ellbat, you look amazing! Jenny House seems to know how to bring out your natural beauty. I'm so glad they chose the darker hair color- absolute perfection!!!
Did a really good job the color really woke you up wow!😍
The hair color and make up somehow gave me Amy Adams vibes. So beautiful! 🌻
That hair colour is absolutely GORGEOUS on you!!
The colors are perfectly fitting. I hope you have a chance to maintain especially your haircolor.
The faces are so poorly censored, i literally saw both their faces good enough to be able to recognize them 😂
I have no idea why :( they were perfect before I exported the video so I didn’t notice that it was different when I uploaded it; the same for the after pictures at the end, a bunch of them just didn’t export even though they’re perfect in my editor.
The fire curling has been around for centuries. It's mainly very useful for those with straight lashes like most asians.
The head and neck massage is pretty much a standard thing at most salons now if you are having hair washed and conditioner applied, well in the UK anyhow. It's not just at expensive salons. It is the BEST part! Just lie back, close your eyes, don't speak for that bit - it's amazing.
Beautiful hair & makeup. Your look is so “natural” not too much or too little & just right 🥰
I can't tolerate anyone shouting at me for even 1 minute, let alone 1 hour.
The scalp massage is the best part of getting my hair done!!
You look amazing! I love how supportive the folks at Jenny House are.
Both the hair and makeup colors they did are stunning on you! Suits you so well!
Jenny House did a wonderful job on your hair color and the makeup was so beautiful.
I love the new look!!! i cant wait to see what outfits you put together with the new look
Asian beauty saloons are really that different compared to European ones! In Asia, pretty much everywhere, you get a head massage complimentary every time you get your hair colored. In India you get it in every big or small saloon/parlor you go to. It's so normal here that not getting one in European saloons feels awkward haha.
