My partner who is older, told me the most difficult times are between 25 and 45. You're finding who you are, you may be having kids, a mortgage, loans, heavy financial burdens, in a job you don't like, friends coming and going, family dying, ect. You are an amazing person and I have enjoyed watching your videos for years. You'll come out the otherside, stronger and better! And an aside, I am so sorry for the loss of your baby. I lost my Jake last year and things are never quite the same.

Sounds like it was a real nightmare period. I’m so glad things are looking up! My life fell apart in October, too. Sudden health issues, misdiagnoses, wrongly prescribed medication that seems to have created long term damage. I’ve been stuck in bed for the last six months with docs saying they have no idea what’s wrong with me. This might be permanent. I can’t walk for more than a few minutes without serious pain and I can only sit for a limited period of time. So far, I’ve been able to work from bed, but my employers are annoyed at by lack of physical presence so I might be out of a job if this isn’t figured out soon. Oh, and MASSIVE medical bills. So I get the financial fears, too. :(

I had a really similar situation right around when I turned 40, and it turned out that I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and dysautonomia, as well as mast cell activation syndrome. Not saying these things to diagnose you, but I know that in this situation we spend a lot of time trying to figure out what’s wrong with us when doctors are failing to, so if any of those things helps your investigations, then great! Aside from that, sending so much love and support your way. And if you are part of any Kind of union, talk to them about your employment situation. At least in the US, we do have some worker protections around disability, so maybe you can take advantage of them. If you don’t have a union, do some research on your own, if you haven’t already. I’m so so sorry. This is so much for any human to have to go through. Please just know you are not alone, I cried with you while watching this video. I’m sending so much love and healing your way. I totally understand the not sleeping with PTSD. I had a traumatic event that happened when I was a child, and it happened while I was asleep/waking up to it. After that, I could only ever sleep when I was in my parent’s room for years after the event. Loosing a pet is one of the hardest things we can go through. RIP Atlas🩵 I lost my dog, Annie, a few years ago. She was my first pet that I took care of completely, she was my baby. It’s an unimaginable pain. Time doesn’t heal it, it only makes the hurt feel less overwhelming. I still miss her dearly. Any single one of these events is so difficult to be going through, and having the compounded onto each other is unimaginable. It is completely understandable to need to take some time. I’m sure the majority of your viewers (me included) will just be happy to see a video when you are ready, there’s no need for a schedule and no need to push yourself. Just focus on you and we will be here when you’re ready 🫶🏻

This video broke my heart in half because I have been there. I have been the person that has had to put their career entirely based on being present for an audience on hold because of life. Thank you for being so real and raw about things; adult life can really suck and hurt and can be so tragically difficult. We all struggle. For the record, I think you’re pretty well adjusted for what you have been through. Your integrity is one of the reasons you have followers that love you like a friend. Oh gosh, things have been tough for you. I'm so sorry about Atlas. I had 5 cats who were my family and friends because I don't have any of either, so it was just me and the cats for 10 years. I lost one of them in December 22 and another in March this year. I'm contently reminded of them everywhere in the house and outdoors. I've been trying to ignore it because I can't afford to move but you mentioning not wanting to stay in a place that would constantly remind you of Atlas made me realise that this is a real thing and it might be the reason I keep being depressed. But still can't afford to move.. life just sucks sometimes. A lot of the time.
I’m so sorry about the cat. I have had similar things happen with cats, with incorrect vet diagnosis of fatal conditions and it is so frustrating and heartbreaking. With mine it was worse because I actually got brushed off when I said what the actual problem was…anyway I want you to know that your cat loved you and knew your love for them. You made their life worthwhile, and that’s what matters. I dont know what you believe spiritually but for me, my cat & the loss of them has been extremely affecting (without going into detail) but in a good way. Again I think it might be comforting to know you were the most important figure in their life and you were clearly an angel, therefore they were fulfilled.
Im so so so sorry you didn’t get to be there for his death, but in a way it might be better. That is so traumatic though I know. I want you to know that he probably had no awareness even during this time. Their conscious state is nil when undergoing heart attacks & like you said, he’d have brain damage if resuscitated…this sounds dark of course but honestly it means he was gone from the get-go. I say this bc it means that it’s not like he was wondering where you were or anything. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Loosing a pet can be....well..for me it was worse than losing a human friend..i was utterly devastated for almost a year..cried like a baby for just as long..perhaps of guilt, for not being able to save her..or..that i didn't notice in time..i donno..it's now 10+ years after..and i still feel sad sometimes. I also had my first cat pass due to fluid on his lungs and unexpectedly becoming paralyzed and developed a tumor as well. Pets are family, just as friends//SOs grow to be. It can be hard. Be kind to yourself and move at your own pace. I know there’s much more to this video than just that. You’re doing a great job at pushing on. Ptsd is truly really hard and with feeling chronic fatigue. I feel you there. From a military lady with ptsd and from other traumas too, you will be up and down and you will learn your triggers. sometimes you go through phases in life where it’s just one bad thing after another. for me it was 2021. things are better now. i’m so sorry you lost your cat, it’s so painful. that on top of everything else is a lot for one person to go through. also i never fail to be shocked at how scummy landlords can be. also do any plumbers actually know how to do their jobs without causing extra problems? it’s crazy. anyways i’m glad you’re doing better and i hope it continues to be uphill from here. your videos have been a comfort to me for a long time

im so sorry. youve had a very bad year. im glad to know now that youre in a better place. i had a bad 12 months too. broke my neck, hand, shoulder, head and sternum. then 6 months later once i was just beginning to get my legs under me again i caught covid pneumonia. ive been on oxygen about 5 months and in therapy 4 months now. really shity year

I think it's important to highlight that this is so, so common for many people. In just a few months you can go from stable and successful to financially stressed, worried about where you're going to live, and car troubles on top of that. People don't realize that we are all just a few disasters away from homelessness. I urge people to keep this in mind when you see a person with an iPhone using food stamps. Or a 60k car going through the food bank line. Perspective is everything.
A-men. I went from earning six figures to nothing overnight with COVID. All our savings gone, debt up to our eyeballs, 18 months of barely hanging on to our house and facing losing everything we’d spent 40 years getting (and wondering where we’d be able to live with 3 cats and a dog who we could never give up). We had to use food banks, I worked shifts packing covid tests. Our four year old cat got a health problem and nearly died and we basically had to crowd source the money to save him from family and friends because the only other option was to put him down due to not being able to afford the op (our f&f came through for us and he’s still here and healthy). A humbling reminder that you can go from 4 bed detached house, two Audis and a healthy savings account to homeless quicker than anyone would’ve thought. We still have £13k debt to pay off but feel lucky to have kept the house and have our cat pull through.

you are doing the right things seeking help, talking about your issues, and i hope being open with your therapist these all help they are not a cure sadly but coping mechanisms. 2 years ago i lost my dog four weeks later my father who i had been caring for at home through his cancer died in front of me after extracting promises that i would look after his dog and the family lastly four weeks later i was looking for somewhere to live. added to that i had to settle my fathers debts and pay for a funeral i couldn't get any help. time passes and i looked after my stepfather and mother till their deaths. on top of this i am an veteran and had a few unpleasant things to do picking up the dead. i was diagnosed as a functioning depressive with PTSD. when things happened that were not typical of me i sought help and saw several psychiatrists and that made things harder initially, they gave me things to do to try and regain control of my self which can and do help i still have times where i have a wobble and have to work harder trying to remain me. there where really bad things happened i wont go into as what i have said could upset people anyway without making it worse. But keep working at being you be open talk about things keep getting help you can get better live a normal life and good friends and family to help keep life's nasty side at bay. sometimes all i need is to listen to some good music to change my mood.

I had to donate, because I lost my gorgeous cat to the same thing in February. He was only 5 years old and we only had him three years, your story made me cry because of how much it echoed mine. I wanted to comment to reassure you -- with my cat, we knew ahead of time that he had heart disease, we caught it early, we were treating it with medications... and he still died horribly, traumatically, way too soon. I hope it's in some way comforting to know that some cats just die to this horrible disease no matter how soon you catch it, so there is truly nothing you could have done differently. You did everything you could do for Atlas and I am so sorry this was how his life ended. He was so lucky to be loved by you.
Girl, the cat thing would/will side swipe me for a good 6 months (not even considering the vet bills and the rest of the shit you’ve dealt with at the same time!). you are are so resilient even if you don’t feel it right now, I mean not many would go through all of that AND turn down a massive money opportunity that would basically solve most of it, purely through morals and sense of pride in what you do for work. Losing a pet is an indescribable pain, I lost my 14 year old childhood dog last month and I just found out that my other childhood dog that’s 11 years old has got a tumour in his liver that can’t be treated I’m heartbroken. Aww, so sorry to hear that. I lost my dog three weeks ago, and it broke me. He was my stable part of my life, and I had 14 years with him by my side. I would walk in the dark and just cry. I thought I was over it, but then I saw a young couple walking their dog and I lost it. I apologize for my behavior and was so embarrassed. My partner who is older, told me the most difficult times are between 25 and 45. You're finding who you are, you may be having kids, a mortgage, loans, heavy financial burdens, in a job you don't like, friends coming and going, family dying, ect. Sounds like it was a real nightmare period. I’m so glad things are looking up! My life fell apart in October, too. Sudden health issues, misdiagnoses, wrongly prescribed medication that seems to have created long term damage. I’ve been stuck in bed for the last six months with docs saying they have no idea what’s wrong with me. This might be permanent. I can’t walk for more than a few minutes without serious pain and I can only sit for a limited period of time. So far, I’ve been able to work from bed, but my employers are annoyed at by lack of physical presence so I might be out of a job if this isn’t figured out soon. Oh, and MASSIVE medical bills. So I get the financial fears, too. :(

I had a really similar situation right around when I turned 40, and it turned out that I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and dysautonomia, as well as mast cell activation syndrome. Not saying these things to diagnose you, but I know that in this situation we spend a lot of time trying to figure out what’s wrong with us when doctors are failing to, so if any of those things helps your investigations, then great! Aside from that, sending so much love and support your way. And if you are part of any Kind of union, talk to them about your employment situation. At least in the US, we do have some worker protections around disability, so maybe you can take advantage of them. If you don’t have a union, do some research on your own, if you haven’t already. I totally understand the not sleeping with PTSD. I had a traumatic event that happened when I was a child, and it happened while I was asleep/waking up to it. After that, I could only ever sleep when I was in my parent’s room for years after the event.
Loosing a pet is one of the hardest things we can go through. RIP Atlas🩵 I lost my dog, Annie, a few years ago. She was my first pet that I took care of completely, she was my baby. It’s an unimaginable pain. Time doesn’t heal it, it only makes the hurt feel less overwhelming. I still miss her dearly.
Any single one of these events is so difficult to be going through, and having the compounded onto each other is unimaginable. It is completely understandable to need to take some time. I’m sure the majority of your viewers (me included) will just be happy to see a video when you are ready, there’s no need for a schedule and no need to push yourself. Just focus on you and we will be here when you’re ready 🫶🏻

Oh gosh, things have been tough for you. I'm so sorry about Atlas. I had 5 cats who were my family and friends because I don't have any of either, so it was just me and the cats for 10 years. I lost one of them in December 22 and another in March this year. I'm contently reminded of them everywhere in the house and outdoors. I've been trying to ignore it because I can't afford to move but you mentioning not wanting to stay in a place that would constantly remind you of Atlas made me realise that this is a real thing and it might be the reason I keep being depressed. But still can't afford to move.. life just sucks sometimes. A lot of the time.
I’m so sorry about the cat. I have had similar things happen with cats, with incorrect vet diagnosis of fatal conditions and it is so frustrating and heartbreaking. With mine it was worse because I actually got brushed off when I said what the actual problem was…anyway
I want you to know that your cat loved you and knew your love for them. You made their life worthwhile, and that’s what matters. I dont know what you believe spiritually but for me, my cat & the loss of them has been extremely affecting (without going into detail) but in a good way. Again I think it might be comforting to know you were the most important figure in their life and you were clearly an angel, therefore they were fulfilled.
Im so so so sorry you didn’t get to be there for his death, but in a way it might be better. That is so traumatic though I know. I want you to know that he probably had no awareness even during this time. Their conscious state is nil when undergoing heart attacks & like you said, he’d have brain damage if resuscitated…this sounds dark of course but honestly it means he was gone from the get-go. I say this bc it means that it’s not like he was wondering where you were or anything. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I also had my first cat pass due to fluid on his lungs and unexpectedly becoming paralyzed and developed a tumor as well. Pets are family, just as friends//SOs grow to be. It can be hard. A-men. I went from earning six figures to nothing overnight with COVID. All our savings gone, debt up to our eyeballs, 18 months of barely hanging on to our house and facing losing everything we’d spent 40 years getting (and wondering where we’d be able to live with 3 cats and a dog who we could never give up). We had to use food banks, I worked shifts packing covid tests. Our four year old cat got a health problem and nearly died and we basically had to crowd source the money to save him from family and friends because the only other option was to put him down due to not being able to afford the op (our f&f came through for us and he’s still here and healthy).
A humbling reminder that you can go from 4 bed detached house, two Audis and a healthy savings account to homeless quicker than anyone would’ve thought. We still have £13k debt to pay off but feel lucky to have kept the house and have our cat pull through.

you are doing the right things seeking help, talking about your issues, and i hope being open with your therapist these all help they are not a cure sadly but coping mechanisms. 2 years ago i lost my dog four weeks later my father who i had been caring for at home through his cancer died in front of me after extracting promises that i would look after his dog and the family lastly four weeks later i was looking for somewhere to live. added to that i had to settle my fathers debts and pay for a funeral i couldn't get any help. time passes and i looked after my stepfather and mother till their deaths. on top of this i am an veteran and had a few unpleasant things to do picking up the dead.
i was diagnosed as a functioning depressive with PTSD. when things happened that were not typical of me i sought help and saw several psychiatrists and that made things harder initially, they gave me things to do to try and regain control of my self which can and do help i still have times where i have a wobble and have to work harder trying to remain me. there where really bad things happened i wont go into as what i have said could upset people anyway without making it worse. But keep working at being you be open talk about things keep getting help you can get better live a normal life and good friends and family to help keep life's nasty side at bay. sometimes all i need is to listen to some good music to change my mood.
I have so much respect for you for speaking so honestly about your struggle.

I had to donate, because I lost my gorgeous cat to the same thing in February. He was only 5 years old and we only had him three years, your story made me cry because of how much it echoed mine. I wanted to comment to reassure you -- with my cat, we knew ahead of time that he had heart disease, we caught it early, we were treating it with medications... and he still died horribly, traumatically, way too soon. I hope it's in some way comforting to know that some cats just die to this horrible disease no matter how soon you catch it, so there is truly nothing you could have done differently. You did everything you could do for Atlas and I am so sorry this was how his life ended. He was so lucky to be loved by you.
Girl, the cat thing would/will side swipe me for a good 6 months (not even considering the vet bills and the rest of the shit you’ve dealt with at the same time!). you are are so resilient even if you don’t feel it right now, I mean not many would go through all of that AND turn down a massive money opportunity that would basically solve most of it, purely through morals and sense of pride in what you do for work. Losing a pet is an indescribable pain, I lost my 14 year old childhood dog last month and I just found out that my other childhood dog that’s 11 years old has got a tumour in his liver that can’t be treated I’m heartbroken. But I know things will get better and I believe they’ll get better for you too. Wishing you the absolute best❤

And my gosh what you've gone through since then, ONE event of which could have sent a less strong person into a mental meltdown. We all have ups and downs in life but it does seem you've had to bear more than your share of downs in the past few months. I'm so sorry for what happened to you. It's awful when so many things happen at once (two years ago, I also lost my cat, lost my job, hat to move an had gigantic bills to pay). Sometimes life isn't fair but you're such a strong individual, you'll get through this!

Aww, so sorry to hear that. I lost my dog three weeks ago, and it broke me. He was my stable part of my life, and I had 14 years with him by my side. I would walk in the dark and just cry. I thought I was over it, but then I saw a young couple walking their dog and I lost it. I apologize for my behavior and was so embarrassed. They were wonderful and held me in grace, and I truly needed it because I was very broken. Still am.
This is the first video of yours I've seen. It broke my heart. Mainly because my life has fallen apart as well. Differently, but the same. I currently am basically bankrupt financially, otherwise I would be very happily help out with a donation.

And the vet still made us pay the $6,000 despite the fact their gross misdiagnosis caused my cat’s death. My heart is with you.
You're doing so amazing for everything you're going through. You don't know how much of an inspiration you are to me as a chronic fatigue sufferer. Your video about it was the first time I'd ever seen anyone publicly talk about what it's like, and it helped me realize I'm not a failure, I'm just a person who is sick. And as someone who has the same condition - it's mind-boggling that you were able to get it all done.
