@@Ellbat My best friend is trans, and his family is.. let's say "less than supportive". Seeing you being there for your sister is more touching than you'll ever know. She's so lucky to have you, and I'm incredibly happy for her
I’m so glad she was never misgendered by the doctors. That must have felt so nice to be seen as she is and respected. All the love, and I wish her a smooth recovery.
I've found Asian doctors (especially because of the lady-boy movement in Asian countries) are amazing when it comes to sex reassignment and feminisation surgery.
@@Stopthisrightnow560that’s not really part of the culture in S. Korea, it’s more so Thailand…. Very different countries lmao. Question for the q&a: did Leah ask for anything specific or is the protocol that you just go to the consultation and see what the doctor suggests/says would work with your bone structure?
Question for your Q&A: how did you get the surgery for free? Did you outright say you are a RUclipsr and can promote it? Did they offer it first by suggesting the interview of your sister for their own RUclips channel? I’m always curious of the business side. Love your channel!
I'm sure she got it for free. Korean clinics are known in the trans community for sponsoring trans RUclipsrs. They're tricky though, a lot of transwomen went to Korea to get surgery and ended up being botched.
This is absolutely amazing, you're an incredible sister! I've had FFS myself, I can't explain how much it changed my life for the better. This is wonderful 💛

No hate, but I do think people use the term trans-woman to indicate that they are not in fact the same as a biological woman, I think women have had enough taken away or repurposed in their history as it is. my heart goes out to anyone genuinely born into the wrong body, but differences can be celebrated without this militant demand of "exact sameness"
@@smileyraw thank you so much. As a biological woman, I’m tired of trans women claiming to be the same as me and know my struggles. @Bella you just proved you don't know anything about what it's like to be a trans woman. Also, you clearly don't understand what is "biological woman", because trans women are biological women. There are many components of "biological sex" so when you say you're biological woman I'd like to ask in which part - chromosomes, gonades, genitals, hormones, phenotype, brain structure? That was incredibly interesting and your sister is so brave in regard to multiple surgeries and taking us viewers on her journey to a better life, thank you for this amazing content!
Who I am as a person doesn't match what's in the mirror. I am in the same shoes as your sister and as someone who is gender questioning or trans themselves... I appreciate this video being posted so much. Sending so much love to you and your sister.
Q&A question: Is it dysphoric or triggering at all for Leah when the doctors point out physical attributes to change for the surgery? Or is it more confirming, like "YES CHANGE THIS"?
I think in this circumstances its probably not that uncomfortable as they are excited to get it changed. They probably struggle with their image in genereal and notice those things so someone being able to say oh that thing that bothers you,it will be gone! Must be pretty exciting. I think as well its quite affirming that from another person’s perspective they are being told what masculine things will be changed so they know others around them will see them more feminine after the surgery.Iv had non surgical enhancements done in the past and pointing out something that bothered me for ages makes me happy that they’ve noticed it and know exactly what i want changing.
Loving this video. I have a child who presently identifies as gender fluid, but is leaning towards possible top surgery (in the other direction) at present, and I love to see both the representation and the honest look at the process. Kisses to ya mothah!
Something for the future Q&A, if you're comfortable answering of course: Oh, so I'm curious about this. Korea is not known to be super LGBT-friendly, though I know that's changing, as are many things like views on tattoos (unless you're me, with a half sleeve, who ended up in a Korean hospital, needing a drip, and nearly made the nurse pass out from shock when she saw your ink while administering said drip, but I digress). The hospital you and Leah went to, are they specifically geared up for these types of surgeries? From my understanding, Leah didn't have any reassignment surgery (assumption based on given facts, correct me if I'm wrong), is that where they draw the line, as the surgery was purely cosmetic? Where they aware that Leah is a trans woman and this was the reason for her visit? I'm just curious as I know there is a lot of red tape, and stigma around being other in Korea (as such a homogeneous society, upon which they pride themselves), and I find it really interesting that not only did they perform the surgery, but were also happy to gift it. That being said, question out the way, I am so happy that you and your sister could experience this, and I hope Leah's healing journey is smooth and swift, and she feels nothing but light and joy when she looks in the mirror. Kisses to your mother, she obviously raised some really good kids!
As a whole, east asian countries have a very poor reception of LGBT. Of course, there are exceptions just how in the US some doctors will offer hysterectomy and some won't. A place like a plastic surgeons office that has seen many trans people will naturally be more understanding. The stigma around cosmetic procedures isn't as bad in korea as it is in the US. Some doctors are better for trans people, i think you can find a list of trans friendly surgeons online.
your sister's hair is so pretty I am ENVIOUS SHHDSJSJDJD I'm so glad she got this opportunity and was gifted these surgeries tbh, as a transman I know the impact surgery can have on just. everything, really, as a trans person. to see someone so deserving of that happiness actually get it makes my day 😌
This is so amazing, i can't begin to explain how happy i am you made this video. I am wishing Leah the best of luck for her recovery. Judging from how little you talked about Abu Dhabi, I guess everything went by smoothly, but I'm still curious: Were there any issues or worries regarding your stay there, considering your sister is trans?
For some reason I tried to correct myself to Dubai with text but it wasn’t Dubai at all ?? 😭 clearly been editing too long ahha. Yes, I was concerned tbh - especially because I’m also bi and they’re not big on LGBTQ+ people. We dressed her more masc/neutral for the flight, and we never left the airport. It was completely fine, but definitely was a bit of a worry
@@Ellbat lol no worries, I think in this context we could say that it's this area in general that's problematic. But I feel you. I'm bi too, I have a lot of LGBTQ+ friends and we're all saving up the additional 1000€ for the direct flight to Japan planned next year, since we're a bit too afraid to risk a lay over stay over there 😅 Thank you for taking the time to answer!

I just started the video and you just asked about questions we had, so if this question is addressed later in the video, I'll delete this comment, BUT-- I'm just curious: why did she decide to have the surgery performed in South Korea and not in the UK or somewhere closer, like in Europe? From what I understand, and having been to Seoul myself, I would assume it's slightly less...accepting? I suppose I'll say? In SK than it would be in the UK or Europe or North America. (EDIT: It seems like the whole experience was VERY accepting ,which is wonderful!) Regardless, I'm so excited that she was able to get these surgeries for her mental wellbeing! I can't imagine how happy she is to have the outside match the inside

That transport vehicle is the same type of vehicle used for picking up players in Squid Game.
That’s because both were filmed in SK hahaha
@@Ellbat 💜😉✝️👍👏😄👍👋 lol
That was incredibly interesting and your sister is so brave in regard to multiple surgeries and taking us viewers on her journey to a better life, thank you for this amazing content!
Who I am as a person doesn't match what's in the mirror. I am in the same shoes as your sister and as someone who is gender questioning or trans themselves... I appreciate this video being posted so much. Sending so much love to you and your sister.
Wishing her all the best for her ffs and ba recovery. Lots of love from a fellow trans gal (though not yet medically transitioned) 🏳️⚧️💗😘
Q&A question: Is it dysphoric or triggering at all for Leah when the doctors point out physical attributes to change for the surgery? Or is it more confirming, like "YES CHANGE THIS"?
Yeah I’m curious about this too! I’m trans as well, but my gender is fluid and I’ve never experienced anything like this so I’m very curious.
South Korea is a very good place to go for surgery or even just healthcare in general. I'm glad you went somewhere good.
Her haaaaaiiiiiiiiirrrrrrr!!!! Soo preetttttyyyyy!!!! 😍😍😍
this honestly makes me so happy and proud!
Loving this video. I have a child who presently identifies as gender fluid, but is leaning towards possible top surgery (in the other direction) at present, and I love to see both the representation and the honest look at the process.
Kisses to ya mothah!
Something for the future Q&A, if you're comfortable answering of course:
Oh, so I'm curious about this.
Some doctors are better for trans people, i think you can find a list of trans friendly surgeons online.
your sister's hair is so pretty I am ENVIOUS SHHDSJSJDJD
I'm so glad she got this opportunity and was gifted these surgeries tbh, as a transman I know the impact surgery can have on just. everything, really, as a trans person. to see someone so deserving of that happiness actually get it makes my day 😌
I was hoping to see this in the comments! I think super curly bangs are so ridiculously cute
This is so amazing, i can't begin to explain how happy i am you made this video.
I am wishing Leah the best of luck for her recovery. It's a very brave thing to do, post your journey through a difficult time to raise awareness for others and i admire you greatly for it.
I bet this means the world to both of you.
Has someone invented a time travel machine yet? So we can all travel to oct 24. I can't wait 😆
Wow, to be part of someone's journey like this! Seeing a loved one transform and be truly comfortable in their body must be a very emotional process. You are an amazing sister. So happy for her!
Welcome to the Leah club, as a fellow curly haired lady, I'm proud to have found your awesome sister's awesome channel!!! Congratulations on all these amazing changes, love!
I wish you and especially your sister goodluck with this journey and I wish her a full and good recovery!
Thank you for supporting LGBTQIA+ 🥰🙌🏽
I’m a big huge bisexual so I would be a bit of a snake if I didn’t ! 😉❤️
@@Ellbat hello! 🤣 she’s here! Lol but even so very often there support for the “easier” alphabet mafia but not enough for the whole group! Appreciating the love for everyone 🥰❤️🙌🏽
I watched the 1st and second videos of you in south Korea today, only things that got me through the first day of quarantine because I have Miss Rona, thank you for posting about your and your family life, takes my mind off of mine 😂❤
Such a cool experience! I can’t wait for part 2!!! Side note: her hair is fricking gorgeous!!😍
wow Leah!! such a wonderful opportunity! i hope you will feel great in your body, as you should! good luck recovering! much love from the netherlands❤️🥰
I think it is really wonderful of your sister to share this personal journey with us. It made me emotional to see this happening for her and all of the caring people surrounding her and helping this dream come true. As tumultuous as it is living in this time, it is an amazing time as well because we have come so far in our capabilities of science and our understanding of the human body. Congratulations Leah!
as someone who is fluent in korean, i want to address that both the surgeons referred to leah with the right pronouns with so much respect and care and i just really love that.
We don't really use gender pronouns in Korean language. Surgeon doesn't say about it.... we just call by name......
Yes but people still appreciate it. It can mean the world to these people. What they will speak volumes for her in the future. So kudos to them. Respect seems yo be dieing these days.
This is so beautiful! You both are incredible ❤️ Question - will the breast implants need to be changed out in a certain amount of years?
Leah is so beautiful…and I’d kill for her hair. I’m sure this is such a life changing experience for not only her but for you as well. ❤️
Leah's hair is so beautiful, I can't stop looking on in wonder
AHHH HER CURLY HAIR IS SOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Leah is beautiful! Can’t wait to see her be able to feel more at home in her body after these surgeries!
my sister is trans and i wish one day to be able to do something like this with her/for her! beautiful video and she is so brave for sharing her story. she’s so beautiful!❤️🏳️⚧️
YES to curly hair and curly bangs 🙌 she has absolutely gorgeous hair, I wish my curls were even half as beautiful as hers 😩😍
Your sis has the most awesome hair!! Really grateful for you both for taking us through the journey, so so interesting!!
I think Someone earned the sister of the year award! Thank you for letting us take part in this journey. You are both incredible beautiful, strong, deserving women and I am just inspired!
congratulations to her!! exciting :) also she has beautiful hair omg
Honestly, I can fully understand what you meant when you said Dr Kim gives a calming aura. Just listening to the calm explanations - without understanding a single word - I would trust this man with my life
THIS! I was sat there like: plz tell me you have an audio book? I would listen to him all day. The tone/tempo of his voice is so calming
yeah
i am SO excited, so so happy for Leah!!!!
(also hi youtube algorithm, please be nice to elena)
10:34 Leah’s hair is so beautiful
Honestly I wake up everyday jealous that she got that part of our gene pool and I didn’t 😭
Am I the only one who heard “dot finder career” instead of “doc finder Korea?” 😂😂😂
I heard dogfinder..

"This couch does not tell you where you are going, before you get on it."
More Squid Game 😉💜
"Everyone in hasmat"...like the Squid Game Soldiers, but in white, instead of red.
Also, the entire procedure of going to your room from the hotel lobby...we need the Squid Game background music.😉✝️💜
I think your sister is a classic beauty! The defined bone structure, the classic red hair (and delightfully curly at that!), and the light blue eyes!
I hope Leah has a smooth recovery and finally gets to feel like the woman she's always meant to be
I’m crying watching this, I wish you and your sister all the best as you continue along this journey with her. Kisses to your mother (for a change 😂) xx
Leah’s hair is so beautiful. The curls and colour of her hair are so mesmerising it’s nuts!
Someone else has asked this too!! So we will defo answer in the Q&A ! ❤️❤️
@@Ellbat dope! Looking forward to it~
This is so exciting and beautiful to watch!!
The two quarantine vids AS WELL AS the, 'I wrote a book in 24 hours', video, have had us all on pins and needles, waiting for these videos!!! Way to bring the build up! And to be a bad a** surgery partner and Sister!
I for one can't wait for the next one! Not to mention the live after that!
Mostly, I hope Leah is healing well! 💜
