- Nick brought this car all of the way from Canada to Orlando, Florida to show it off at the LZ Invitational. Immediately it caught our eyes and we had to get the inside scoop on this convertible S15 Silvia known as the Varietta. Only 1100 of them were made, and they never made it to the US.

There's only 1100 of them? They're surprisingly cheap and available for a car with so few made. I'm sure the price will skyrocket as soon as they're actually legal in the US, as usual.

I'm always impressed at how ahead of the times these vehicles were compared to their NA counterparts.
I always wanted one of these variettas.... Its probably my favorite looking S Chassis cause its so rare.... Great Job!
That is one awesome car. The car seems to portray two different styles with the top up and then down. I love it both ways but prefer the top up look. Nice job on the body kits too.

OK serious question. What is the purpose of stretching your tires where the rim is protruded out and sidewall is almost flat?
It’s a style.
It’s a style as well as gives clearance for fitting the widest/most aggressive wheels without sacrificing ride height/fitment with running the “proper” sized tires that would then be as wide as the wheel itself, and limit turning and other things.

I have seen a lot of make over cars and wonder how safe they are for instance AIRBAG . Witness online this guy rebuild his car and his gas pedal got stuck or something to that effect had a bad WRECK two of them was in the car am sure other people view that crash and they had head, neck, face area damage. The person had money to redo a car I would have airbags installed.
Hey Larry and friends! I need some advice. What would be a Larry Approved car in the price range of 20-30k, New off the lot? I'm looking to purchase my first car and would love getting something knowing it has the Larry Stamp Of Approval! Thanks in advanced!
Don't spend that on your first car. There's a lot about driving freely you'll want to get down before you put something you could keep forever on the road. I'd start with a 5000 limit or so, go to work make that money back, put it in to your car, make it back again and then you'll have some driving experience and a ride to build more on to or sell and get in to something you won't wreck right away.
