I went through 2 known good VVT/VTC sprockets and both died and rattled real bad at less than 500 miles use,before finding out the oil feed to the sprocket in the block & head can block easy because its so small, I sold that SR on only 84k miles and solved the problem by swapping in a genuine 23k miles engine from another complete 14a I bought, my advice to solve the death rattle sprockets going bad at stupid low miles issue is pull the head and make certain the oil feed is clear as possible in the block and the head and if the oil way is crudded up the other thing is camshaft spray bars will have the same crud in both the spray bars and the oil feeds to them,new spray bars are cheap but need clear the crud or this will happen again,lack of oil changes and crap/cheap oil early in its life cause it imo
Hey jimmy. When I swapped my s13 with an ls I used an act stage 4 clutch as well. It was super stiff until I upgraded the master to willwood 3/4” with steel braided lines and it feel like a stock ls1 clutch now. For your future project with that clutch it might help out big time!
I had to change a few S 15 transmissions what I do is undo the rear subframe bolts about 3/4 of the way and push the engine down from the front pulley with a pole jack
this is the cheat code but, personally I wouldn't want to put pressure on the crank shaft. I use a pole jack with a block of wood on the oil pan to accomplish the same thing
I love my 6 disk unsprung act ... the aggressive-ness is what sold me for it ... but the way I drive n the hp I got to least run that ... but the twin disks have deff been a thought lately lol
I have the circuit sport quick release and I absolutely love it! Not sure about here short shifter but I have had good experiences with there products but I have only used them in my 93 mx5
I love the build Jimmy! It has some incredible parts, it's the right colour and even.the right wheels in the right colour! The only let down on the whole car is the mis-matched front seats! Please find a second recaro for the passenger seat 😂🤣
