How a hybrid drivetrain works - in under a minute

In this video, a typical hybrid vehicle drivetrain is represented on the ConsuLab EM-200-29 training aid.
This training aid is based on a typical Toyota Prius hybrid vehicle, the trainer provides easy visualization of driveline component operation including:
ICE (Internal Combustion Engine)
MG1 (Motor/generator # 1)
MG2 (Motor/generator # 2)
Drive wheels
The EM-200-29 trainer is designed to have students manually rotate, hold or release each component using hand cranks.

In his model one is a motor and one is a generator simultaneously. If your diesel engine is strong enough it can both propel you while generating for the battery

You need to be somewhat emerced in the topic to start with. You need engine to generator for batteries, motor from batteries to wheels, wheels to motor to batteries, and engine directly to wheels, and ideally engine to both wheels and generator for batteries. See if he accomplished this.

You need: engine to generator for batteries, batteries to motor to wheels, wheels to generator for batteries, engine to wheels directly, and ideally engine to generator for batteries AND to wheels directly and simultaneously. See if he pulls this off
