The most important part of this video was your story. Thank you for sharing. Although I served time overseas during a conflict, I would never compare my experience to someone who literally lived in it. Fall of 1976 -- 4th Grade -- in the San Francisco Bay Area a new student came into my class. Lena Manoukian. She and her family had to leave their home in Beirut because of the war. We became friends because I was assigned to help her out (mostly because she wasn't fluent in English -- she blew me away in long division with a different method than we were learning). I'll never forget the day her parents came to our class and told us about the civil war in Lebanon and showed us their family slides...including their high rise apartment building before and after it'd been blown to smithereens. First time war seemed real to me.

They look like they’ve taken many trips to Sturgis. Time is time. The tear down is all part of the rehab...nothing is boring. The nails are like porcupine quills. Seriously someone told you to get a manicure? Well, I certainly wouldn’t fit in......They’re fine keep going. Refilling the bobbin is a pain. I know that first hand, always runs out just before your done. Yes Steve, flawless. Those boots are kicking! Very good job.

I have to say this: you are not only a inspiring and inspired craftsman, but you have an engaging camera personality in addition. Very enjoyable to watch your videos. My wife and I watch your projects every day.
    Thank you!

That's a nice pair of side zip jump boots there, someone really loved those boots.

I still have a pair of those from back in the day. I ordered them from the Sportsman's Guide, and paid around 90 bucks for the. They were the most uncomfortable boots I ever had the pleasure of owning. The fellow that own those must have had iron feet.
    Excellent job on the recraft!

Great comments about Lebanon! We take so many things for granted, I am Cuban living in US, so I know vey well what you are talking about, although very fortunate of not have had to live through it.

Looks like the type of boots we used earlier in the Navy before they switched to desert/digital camo. I still have my Bates boots from Navy boot camp.😁

This is my favourite video of yours. Not because of the boots, not because of your skills, but because of you telling us a part of your life story.

Beautiful job! Wore jump boots in the Army for over 20 years and never thought of having them refurbished. Love the blue but I don’t think the Military would approve. Let’s continue👍👍👍👍👍.

You said you weren't a shoe maker, but you might just have well made new boots. Very impressive work, your child hood sounded extremely hard, so glad you made it to America.
