Just got done with mine and did the block off plates also. Without your video removing the emission stuff i wouldnt be able to start this project. Thanks for your help 🙏🙏🙏
ALEXGSXR im hoping so. Ive not started the bike yet lol. Ive cleaned up the bars: relocate the killswitch, headlight switches, changing my key to a switch, putting my overlow coolant in the front, removing my turn signal, etc. this shit aint easy but its fun.
I’m thinking of doing this to my 98’ 1100 shadow Ace! Glad your bikes is still running good. I’ve been looking for a video like this for a while! Thank you and wish me luck!
I could be wrong but I feel confident that on the top of the carburetor where you capped two of the niples. The one facing the tire is good but the one facing the tire or the back of the bike I think is supposed to be a boat float vent. I can’t tell for certain but I think that one needs to vent to equalize the floats but someone else can correct me if I’m wrong.
Hey 👋 I was having starting and running problems with my bike since a year ago when I first took on the project. Most of it was wiring and lights. Ever since I got the bike I noticed 2 vqccum lines were missing from my bike on the left carb. There is only 1 plug on left carb And emission air cut off valve is all hooked up to right carb so I'm thinkin it needs both sides plugged? For balancing suction ? What do you think?
Quick question for you, did you happen to plug the 2 hoses on the backside of the carb? I believe the 2 hoses are attached to the radiator and intake manifold. Thx
I'm new at this. I've been having a problem with my bike. There is a hose coming from the top of my carb that doesn't go anywhere. If we have something suck on it just a little bit, my bike runs like normal. If we don't have any suction on it at all, the bike dies. We live in Texas and it seems like the hose has something to do with this. Have you come across this issue?
What's the purpose of this? To make the bike run and start better? And to free up space? Because I have a old shadow I've been working on and the left carb on one of the vacuum nipples someone plugged the nipple . So I'm having vacuum problems and it keeps.shutting off after starting
What are those two white things under the battery kinda I thought this is were the fuel pump was buy didn't see one on my bike my carb isn't getting gas I replaced the petcock and same prob any idea?
Does your petcok have a spot for a small vacuum line? checked your vacuum hose ,if you have one maybe it's not working. Also those white things at the bottom were just some sort of secondary air filtration I believe.
@@royramirez4567 I'm not a pro but I don't think they have fuel pump. And if it starts with your hand over the carb maybe it's sucking in to much air if you took off the air filter so you might need to clean the carb and jets or get bigger jets for your carb to balance the air to fuel ratio
@@ALEXGSXR K cool. I have a vtx 1300 and I have a 2008 vt750 chop I'm finishing. Bro do you have an email by chance? I need a few locations on stuff and you've already done everything I want to do to clean the bike. Where is the rear coil mounted originally? I'm doing a full custom battery box and wire tuck. Its been a long project and I cant remember where the rear coil was mounted originally. I live in California. I do lots of tuning so if you run into trouble let me know and I can help ya. I'm getting to last few things before this project is finally done. Hoping to have it running saturday. It has under 500 original miles on it lol. I literally just road it some stock and it's been apart getting built ever since.
Alex, on my Aero single carb i have some hoses with what seems to run coolant by the carburator, now TJ did this carb and I don’t see any places for this, one comes from the top where the carb boots get together and the second one comes from right under the fill up cap.Did you have any on yours? Thanks
Julian Furtuna TJ probably removed the area where the hoses go. in one off TJs videos he says that you don't need them connected. I'll try and find it for you
ALEXGSXR yes,I looked at the video,I believe TJ already plugged the holes for the coolant so now i have to figured out a way to plug the ones on the bike I guess Thanks again Alex
james yamane i did not re jet my carbs it was still fine. just had to buy the block off plates i mention in the video because it was back firing really loud . didnt want that much attention from cops
Erik Diosi i dont see why that would be a problem . you might have alot of backfiring from the exhaust. so you will need to make or buy reed valve block of plates. but idk what bike you have
gustavo lopez si todo esta bien. nomas ocupas comprar o hacer unos "block off plates" para tapar los reed valves. si no quieres que truene mucho tu mofle. voy hacer un video en eso pronto
khairy shaban i think its similar. the channel tj brutal customs has a video also maybe its more like your bike. i would just follow the video while looking at your bike to see if you have the same stuff
khairy shaban yea no issues for me at all. i did add the block of plates that i mention in the video because it would shoot out flames when it back fired. it was cool to shoot flames but it was loud
Pero explica porfavor después de quitarle las de vacío esque ala mía se las quitaron y no sé cómo ponerse las me podrá pasar su cuenta de FB para ver si me puede apoyar ?
I removed my hoses and it idles well but wen I accelerate it starts bogging or starving , is this maybe a plug I missed Or is there an air fuel mixture tune I must do ?
ALEXGSXR lol idk dude i have my motorcycle apart and doing as much as i can to bobber it out. La linea para los white canister deberías dejarla. A mi me paso hace tiempo that when weather got really hot el coolant lo mandaba para ese reservoir y como no lo tenia it will spill everywhere
Yeah that one. I mean every bike rides differently mine had to have it but it’s whatever it doesn’t bother me as much as the freaking emissions lines. What else are you doing to your bike????
Mayra Salcedo its still great. it was back firing alot on deceleration so recently i removed the reed valves and installed the block off plates they removed the back firing

Such happy, peaceful music 🎶 until I found your video all I was hearing was HEAVY METAL 😡🤬😤😬 thank you very much!

You saved me a vacuum mess
did you end up plugging the small bottom bass niple? The one you weren't to sure about
Mayra Salcedo yes i plugged it. i watched a couple random videos/saw some pictures and it looks like it gets plugged so i did

It was fine open
It's still fine

gustavo lopez asi c queda al aire.
ALEXGSXR gracias!!
Will this work on a 09 honda shadow aero 750??
I don't know honestly. I risked it doing mine. I recorded it so that I can put everything back if it didn't work but it turned out well.
shinko whitewalls?

a year late but i have vance and hines shot shots
