That finger pointer tho🤣🤣
I just ordered mine from another dealer today with this exact same setup but its black exterior with the wicker beige interior!
I just purchased a silver, black edition limited l model, and I absolutely love it.
I bought this yesterday and LOVE it! The 6-cylinder is just fine with plenty of power for the average consumer. You have the best video on RUclips, Mike!
Hey how do you feel about it now? Any regrets?
most detailed review i have ever seen for any car.
We’ve been waiting for your Jeep Grand Cherokee L review. Thanks Mike. We watched the whole video.
Thank you Mike for making the best review of the Grand Cherokee L
Another extraordinary review from Mike.
It feels like I already own the vehicle.
Great job, Mike.
Kudos !!!
I love American made car looks, simple & clean.
Same with European manufacturers for the most part I just hate Asian manufacturers design language tbh
@@Carfan678 With the exception that Mazda and Hyundai are not too bad.
@@secondfirstsecond Mazda I can agree but Hyundai’s are way too overly designed in my opinion
@@Carfan678 agree
Hello Mike. Good review and test drive video for the newly released fifth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L. I'm glad there's a test drive addition as part of your review videos now. Very nice for that. I've seen review videos from other You Tube reviewer channels for the Jeep Grand Cherokee L, but I was waiting on yours for this vehicle. Glad your video is out because your review goes even more in depth with information than some to most of the other You Tube reviewers. You even mention each dimensional area for both the exterior and interior. Couple weeks ago I actually test drove the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Like what was mentioned in this video it didn't feel big. It didn't feel like a third row seating vehicle. It didn't have that wobble feel which is good. The engineering team at Jeep did a great job with the overall weight distribution of the vehicle. Even though the Jeep Grand Cherokee L is longer with third row seating, it's actually a little bit lighter than the outgoing fourth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee that has two rows of seats. When I test drove the Jeep Grand Cherokee L the V6 engine felt pretty good coming in at 293 horsepower and 260 pound feet of torque. It felt even better in Sport Mode. I went in with the initial intent to test drive the one with the legendary 5.7 liter HEMI V8, but it wasn't available yet. The performance numbers for that engine is 357 HP and 390 pound feet of torque. I will test drive the Jeep Grand Cherokee L again, but will test drive the one with the V8. I wanna hear that V8 rumbling sound and feel that quick burst of acceleration. The Jeep I test drove was also in the Limited trim like what was in this video. Only difference was the one I test drove didn't have the wireless phone charger. That's a clear indication that feature is optional on the Limited trim. More than likely that feature is standard on the three top tier trims the Overland, Summit and Summit Reserve. The ride quality was nice n smooth in the Limited trim I test drove. Just imagine the ride quality for the Overland, Summit and Summit Reserve trims. In general, Jeep did a great job with the overall design schematics of this vehicle. From the outside it's a lot more sleeker/seamless and for the inside it's more luxurious than the outgoing fourth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee. I currently have the third generation Jeep Grand Cherokee in the Limited trim and I have intentions on getting the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. However, I'm not going to get the first year of the new generation though. I'll get the second year of the new generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L so that it'll give me more time to put aside some money for it and also by that time couple more standard features will get added. When the time comes for me to get it I'll get it in the Overland trim nicely equipped with the legendary 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine. Should be GRRREAT!! There are six trim levels for the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. From the base tier trim to high tier trim those will be the Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Overland, Summit and Summit Reserve. The Limited trim just got reviewed and I'm looking forward to seeing the review videos for the other five trim levels. Also, one with the 5.7 liter HEMI V8 as well.
OBTW, the new generation 5th generation Jeep Grand Cherokee with the usual two rows of seats will still be available. It'll be available later this year probably around November or December. It'll have the same appearance as the third row seating Jeep Grand Cherokee L, but with couple other differences besides being a little shorter in length.
checking one of these out tomorrow! this review was awesome.
Excellent. Great video.
Will they ever make these with the Passive Entry/touch activated door handle? My 2016 Jeep Cherokee has it and it's a major drawback for me to the Grand L.
Or can it be added on later? Maybe it's a shortage on the chips and applies to all vehicles?
Awesome walk thru, I learned more from you than the dealer when I purchased our new GCL limited 3 weeks ago.
I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee, the worse thing I ever did was sell it. It was a great car.
Wow
So far the best review I’ve seen
Good job !!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks
With this you just got your self a new loyal subscriber !
Ok. I've watched a TON of reviews on vehicles, and this by FAR is the most enjoyable, informative, unbiased and "educational" review I have watched! Educational is in quotes because I figure most people have common sense, but the viewpoint you come from opens questions and ideas people may not have thought of otherwise. I am/was between an Acura MDX and the Grand Cherokee L (ion SOME trim level) and this video has pretty much sealed it for me. Most people won't spend as much time o a test drive as you did in this video ~ and if they DO, they better be paying attention to the road instead of rubber-neckin' around the interior at the features! LOL I was really concerned about ride quality and interior quiet and you did address those things. But it's nice to have questions and concerns answered before you've thought of them, and also answered by someone other than a salesperson. I spent 20+ years in the car business and I really appreciate the way you give an honest, striaght-forward and relatable opinion about your experience in the vehicle. VERY WELL DONE!!!!
Ya know Mike, when I think, "Jeep", the thought of class leading luxury features and interior trim doesn't come first to mind. I'm very impressed by the details highlighted in your video. While Ford goes full-speed into Broncomania - Jeep is poised to runaway with the large 3-row Crossover/SUV market with vehicles combine "Trail Rated" chops with streetable good looks.
Hey Mike, I’m a truck guy but I saw this video and because it’s you I had to watch lol! Yet again another great review. That new Grand Cherokee looks pretty damn good
Absolute great job. Thank you!!!!
This review is so thorough I don’t even have the patience to watch the entire video unbelievably great
Great detailed review Mike!
this man is thorough. Subscribed.
I know these roads very well sir. Great video considering this for my next vehicle. Glad to see someone else who appreciates good lighting at night.
always has excellent reviews! just to add, the "home, media, comfort" etc tabs at the bottom of the infotainment screen can also be reordered by dragging what you want to whatever position you want.
I'm surprised that Jeep didn't launch this vehicle as a 2022 model being that it's a 3rd quarter 2021 launch.
I said the same thing to myself. I could be wrong, but my guess for Jeep's decision to present it as 2021 and not 2022 is that initially this vehicle was supposed to had gotten launched last year in 2020 as the 2021 model year, but the COVID-19 pandemic haulted production. I think that was part of the reasoning. I'm sure in the coming year or two things will go back to normal where the vehicle gets introduced in the current year as the following year model year. Overall, Jeep did a great job with the exterior and interior design schematics of this fifth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L. On the exterior the appearance has a lot more sleeker/seamless profile over the outgoing fourth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee. As for the interior it's more luxurious and more space which is nice.
Excellent job on the review. I very much appreciate the time and effort put forth here. In fact it was a major reason I went out and purchased a Grand Cherokee L. The only thing that kept me out of a Grand Cherokee my past two SUV purchases was the lack of a third row. So I went Dodge Durango. I thought those were very nice. Especially the Limited version I had. But Jeep has just upped their game. The interior feels very Lux. Waaaaaay more Lux than that Limited Durango. I got in it and instantly thought WOW This is NICE!! I'd prefer a matt finish to the 10.1" screen and surrounding area because it and the piano black surrounding material are very prone to fingerprints but that's a minor gripe. This is really nice and rides super smooth. It is quite the upgrade to the Durango I had. They did get the "remote tech" wrong though. I think they rolled out the Jeep App too soon. It hardly ever is able to lock, unlock or start the truck from the app, that is a disappointment but it's not why I bought the truck anyway and I won't be paying for it once the free trial is up.
Hi Mike. As I mentioned in a previous post for this video, this was a good review for the Jeep Grand Cherokee L and I'm glad there is a test drive addition to it as well. Jeep did a great job with the overall design schematics for the exterior which is sleeker/seamless and did a great job for the interior which has a more luxurious look along with the feel over the outgoing fourth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee. What's also good is that all the exterior lights and all the interior lights are LED now which is standard across the trim levels. I remembered when you reviewed the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee in the Overland trim and that was nice. What I liked which you did for the introduction of that video was the use of the MK 2 Heroes theme song. I was wondering if you can use that song again when the time comes for you to review the Overland trim for this new generation 5th generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L? I hope you can. That MK 2 Heroes theme song is perfect for introducing something. Perfect for introducing a vehicle in one of the high trims or introducing a vehicle with the highest top of the line trim.
Thanks!!!! ❤ the finger pointer
Guys, the amount of 2021 Grand Cherokee L's that I have seen on the road since its debut is absolutely mind boggling and this vehicle just came out!
We just ordered a GCL Limited 4x4 and are expecting a late-October/early-November delivery. Luckily, I've only seen 2-3 in my area over the past month.
@@BzJeep My dealer has 50 of them on the lot no need to order
@@Patriot66699 crazy! We just took delivery of our order yesterday. It took 6 weeks. So far, we love it! There are probably only a dozen or so on the lot right now and I've still only seen 1-2 per week out in the wild.
@@BzJeep I ordered mine yesterday and it’s already in transit to the dealer…
Excellent review 👏 👌
Thanks very much for the video! 🆗🆒✅🏆😊
One year ago today! Still my dream bestie.
Mike has a nice Jeep Grand Cherokee L and that is my favourite car but maybe I should buy one
Just got mine a few days ago. Love it! Thanks for the video you showed features I didn’t know it had.
I agree wholeheartedly. He goes over things that the dealer didn't.
SUPER LOOK LIKE A BEAST
You should do a Summit Reserve review
Hey mike my brother the is zo nice my bro 💯💯💯💯💥💥💥
Great review but you didn't cover the Trailer Brake Control that seems to be built into the instrumentation ... but is it??? It shows up in the owners manual (pages 101-106) but it's not clear what's required to get it working. Is it just the Jeep wiring harness and hitch? Has anyone gotten the "integral" trailer brake controller working?
I wish they'd go back to offering a rear glass opening separately from the lift gate. That back window like most without one are useless. Don't understand why manufacturers take away that one great utility in a sport utility vehicle. Non the less this vehicle is good looking and has a very nice interior. I just question its reliability and cost of ownership. I guess only time will tell.
excellent video, great detail. Can you do the same video on a Summit Reserve with the 5.7L engine?
In my message post I mentioned something almost similar to what you said. Eventually Mike will get to the high tier trim levels like the Overland, Summit and Summit Reserve. In general he'll review each trim level for any vehicle. He's not going to review one or two trim levels and then run away. A review with one equipped with the legendary 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine is coming. I'm waiting patiently for that. Since towards the end of June to early this month the new generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L started rolling into dealerships. More started coming in after that. The ones with the V6 engines and lower trim levels were getting delivered. Based on what a sales rep told me earlier this morning the ones equipped with the 5.7 liter HEMI V8 started coming in either since two or three days ago, but only with a one by one delivery process though. Another sales rep who I spoke to over the phone said that a general vehicle delivery was made couple days ago. One of the Jeeps on that delivery had the V8 engine. Shortly after it came off the truck it was already sold. Previous generation Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles had the 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine as a optional powertrain starting with the Limited trim. However, this time around with the fifth generation Jeep made a change. Jeep decided to up the ante a little bit by having the 5.7 liter V8 engine available starting with the Overland trim. So, for this fifth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L the Overland, Summit and Summit Reserve trims will have the option on getting the 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine. Also, those three top tier trims will have the adjustable air ride suspension feature standard. It might be optional on the Limited trim, but I'm not too sure on that.
1:08:39 it's actually lighter (although bigger in space) than the regular Grand Cherokee.
Can you do a night review of the GV70 sport prestige?
56:47 do you know that the little space in between the two cup holders is where to put the key fob 🤔
welldone :)
Nice 😎
Cool
Does the power trunk come as standard?
great video thanks ,, got a question ,, how can i disable the paddle shifters
Hold in the right paddle(+) shifter for a second or 2 and it will go back to auto.
And what do you think the 0-60 is?
Great review, one question though. Was the front passenger seat 8-way power also? I’ve read that it’s standard on the limited trim, but I noticed it wasn’t listed on the sticker.

So many features not mentioned in this video as far as the menu and most of the driving modes. He did not use the sport mode for acceleration which winds the rpms'' and much more torch.. there is a lot more. I just don't care to mention
It is a feature-rich vehicle. I could make this a 3 hour video and still not cover everything. Thanks for watching :)
Limited DOES NOT COME with Ventilated seats! (as stated in your video)
1:03:18 If it has 'luxury tech group 2' it does.
Do you know how many feet length wise from back of front seats to rear? Can I sleep in there? Thx
It looks big enough to put down an air mattress and sleep. The next one I do I will measure it with that in mind.
@@MikesCarInfo Thx
So, basically a fancy unibody Durango..
If you’re putting it that way…. 😂 yes. I ordered one yesterday, much nicer inside then the Durango is. I also prefer the look of the Jeep, that being said looks are completely subjective
👍🍺
1:15:57 Two row - Three row
So it only have lane keep but no lane centering?
Yes. Jeep calls lane centering "Active Driving Assist". This one didn't have it.

2 years ago I buy a 21' Jeep Grand Cherokee.
that's a nice stick in ur hand🤤
Like and Comment for the yellow pointer hand
Big Vehicle? its not a Tahoe SUV . its a large crossover.
Mike, here’s a tip. We don’t need an hour and sixteen minutes video on a car review man. This isn’t supposed to be a length of a movie. 15-20 minutes max is enough. Most of your videos are lengthy. Food for thought.
One can watch several hours of short videos and not get the info presented here.
This is only part one. There is a night video as well :)
@@MikesCarInfo If you’re in the market for a $50,000+ vehicle, I don’t think most mind the length. I looked at hours of vids when I was looking at the WK2 before I finally bought one and the time spent was well worth it
🙉🙊🙈💯😎👍
Nice jeep looks similar to the 2020-21 Explorer.
Looks way better.
