These “little” goofy projects are what I missed from hermitcraft. It felt for awhile that the hermits were so afraid to do silly things or smaller projects bc the season was winding down so quickly. It felt like everyone needed to hurry up and build mega bases as quickly as possible. Glad it’s going to be a long season. It’s less stressful and more relaxing to us viewers
Absolutely! As much as I love seeing their amazing creativity and mega builds, sometimes it’s incredibly intimidating. I know that’s just in my own head, but watching a brilliant Hermit just have Fun is really relaxing and relatable 🙃
I feel like the hurry Up and make big bases was the cause of it being a short season because they all have done everything already. So it was a cycle dont have long because they think they dont have long.

Bruh this episode *is* extravagant
I wonder if this was an idea he had to prove to Mumbo that you really don’t need to put pressure on yourself all the time. Sometimes you need a break and sometimes you just wanna build 9x9 carrot farms.
And the fans will eat it up. Pun entirely intended. :)

I love carrot hill, especially with the jack o lantern sign. It might look even cooler if you mixed the textures of the stone with some cobble and andesite. It's also in need of a scarecrow or two to protect your precious carrots.
He shud build a small windmill up there too.
I hate how the i in the sign isn't capitalized though..

Do you think he should add some leaves to the T, kind of like a carrot in the word carrot?
With how Iskall was laying out his plots with pumpkins, I thought he was going to create giant carrots poking out of the ground and have the farms in those 😂
Maybe he could replace the trees in that area with the tops of large carrots poking out of the ground with their stalks
That would be so heckin cute
Silly ideas are a great thing. You don’t always have to do something “mega” for it to be enjoyable and entertaining. This is a fun video 👍💖
Yeah it was very funny and whacky and whimsical and all of those other adjectives. keep up the great work!
Put moss on top of carrot hill sign
You mean "OMEGA?"
What Iskall calls a silly, super-budget idea looks like it took more work than my entire base. :(

When placing the pumpkin outlines for the carrots farms, my mind started to think that he was about to build giant carrots sticking out of the ground instead. So now I'm just picturing massive carrots scattered throughout carrot hill as well
Yes I thought so too!
I laughed so hard when iskall opened the door and said "look so spacious" and it was a door to a wall and right as he scrolled to his pick it said "rip off" 🤣 I was like yep whoever sold you that "spacious" carrot hut sure did rip you off 😂 Loved the chill vibe of this silly idea so much, carrot hill is a masterpiece.

You can use sea pickles to get lime dye directly. Might be a bit easier than having to smelt all that cactus.
That's true, but grinding seam pickles is a lot of work. Smelting cactus can be done more automatically.
I'm amazed though. I had no idea you could make lime without pickles until today!

Fun fact in the Netherlands “tommies” are tiny snack tomatoes
Its a brand name thats just used interchangeably with snack tomatoes regardless of whether people actually mean the brand or not (at least in my area)
Ur carrots thing made me think of that so I wanted to share
Oh kinda like Pringles-
I'm Dutch and I've never heard people use Tommies for tomatoes. Maybe a regional thing?
Yes!
Honestly there's a few things that are referred to by brand names, like say maybe googling something is an obvious one but there are ones you might not know like velcro. That's not to bring down the point of the comment, I'm more just saying I'm kinda not surprised an originally branded thing became a normal term
Since we're doing fun facts and Carrots and the Netherlands are used in the same sentence, let me share another fun fact. Carrots didn't used to be orange. It was in the 17th century that some Dutch farmer crossbred an orange variant of the carrot in honour of William of Orange. Less than 100 years later it became the staple variant of carrot.
Iskall: "I do not like carrots for eating"
Golden carrots: "am I a joke to you?"
Who knows, maybe adding some Au to it gives it a more pleasant taste

‘’Carrots are human too’’ best Iskall quote of 2022
iskalle, i really really appreciate how you approach hermitcraft. each episode feels like we're playing right alongside you, because you take your time and genuinely enjoy the early gameplay. i feel like a lot of hermits this season are overworking themselves, creating mega builds for each and every episode, trying to updo their last episode. of course they are awesome builds--but all we get to see is a bunch of time lapses and its less personal. it's so much more fun in my honest opinion to watch hermits take their time with the early game small builds and enjoy playing the game instead of feeling like you have to meet a certain standard each episode!
There’s something so engaging and inspirational about how you just start and complete a project as it comes. Like finding a skele spawner and then immediately making a farm
“… Carrots are human too.”

I feel like a cave base with you and Etho when he comes back might be nice since you didn’t really get to do it much last season.
Yeah, it's actually kinda sad that the whole basing together idea was thrown out, given how S8 was cut short.
Plus, I reckon Etho could definitely use a buddy when he comes back.
@@kiera-james What do you mean all of the hermits with a "bigger audience?" The only two hermits with more subs than Etho are Grian and Mumbo, everyone else is either 1.5 million range or less. Etho is one of the biggest Minecraft content creators, not necessarily in terms of subscribers, but he's been around since the alpha days, and his influence on how we play the game will be ever present with his technical creations.
@@theapexsurvivor9538 as a S8 new viewer, I really appreciated the pairs and groups that formed, like Ren and Doc, Cleo and Joe Hills, Gem Stress and False, big eyes, etc because it made learning everyone so much easier! If i could make one suggestion for carrot hill, i'd texture the stone-bits underneath, they look very blank at the moment, maybe also add some leaf blocks around the base to add some detail.
This was fun to watch. Carrot Hill seems like the kind of addition the river town, that's emerging on the server, needed to ground it into the atmosphare of mountains and encompassing nature. Only if it wasn't for the pickaxe carrot farming O_O

22:19 there is a natural Azealia tree where you built your cactus farm. If you dig under it, there will be rooted dirt all the way down in a "vein" from the tree to the lush cave below!

you can get a lot of rooted dirt under natural lush cave trees on the ground not in caves
I think mini Swedish lessons every episode would be awesome. Taking me back to Mumbos class from season 6

In my area of the US, that would be a root cellar. A lot of the older homes around still have them, and some still use them for storing vegetables, although a few of them have collapsed in over the years.
It’s these “silly” projects that really add to the area, making it feel developed and lived in.

ur humor is litterally so funny to me, like i dont normally laugh but ur random jokes r just so funny to me
"Carite" is my favourite so far xD
That cave looks big enough to share. I love the unplannedness of this episode
Instead of mixing cactus green dye and white dye to make lime green dye, smelted sea pickles will give you lime green dye on their own.
Sea pickle farms arent as passive as cactus farms, but the one i built produces more sea pickles than id ever need after an hour of running the farm. It uses bonemeal, but you have the skeleton farm so thats no problem😌 mine was also small and easy to build.
I know youve built the cactus farm already, but a sea pickle farm may be more worth it and you will use less materials in getting the dye.
Iskall I’m loving your content, it’s so nice to see you tackle small, fun ideas and just kinda chill. With many Hermits taking it somewhat easy this season I can really feel those season 6 vibes, which I loved so much
