Solo missions are my favorite. Eat when you want to eat, sleep when you want to sleep, no need to run anything by anyone except yourself.
Nailed it ! SO good aye!
Love this comment word for word my Dads description of the ultimate holiday
@@supersignsaustraliaptyltd3734 I left out the shit when you want to shit bit.
"Just switch off from all the bullshit and chill out at nature, it's the best thing for you" .. truer words have never been spoken.. awesome video man.. Hope to move down to NZ very soon.. can't wait. Keep these incredible videos coming Ollie.. they are really inspiring
Thanks for the feedback mate. Yep best thing to do!
This is the best video to wake up to after recovered from a massive migraine.Very soothing for the mind. Can't wait till the day I can do camping and fishing and explore more of beautiful NZ.Top notch video again,as always.Thank you for them:)
Cheers Rory! Haha Glad it distracted you from your hangover for a bit!
Cheers Ollie another great video bro, you're not wrong on the solo experience. Have just moved home after a long time in Oz where I did a few solo camping missions, a fire, a couple of beers and no reception can't beat it to clear the mind. Looking forward to getting into the underwater adventures and outdoors here. Keep up great work. Thanks again
Awesome mate! Yeah it's the best thing for the mind. All the best going forward mate, Ollie
Another excellent adventure Ollie! Love the panoramic shots. And I agree about the alone time in the great outdoors - a good reset.
Cheers Paul! Yep, great way to reset, my weekly special haha
Bro your videos are amazing!! So humble! You are my favorite RUclipsr!!! Keep well mate!
Ollie you really do a great job, love the commentary and the drone footage all the narrative. makes for a great story love the camp catch and cook. we all want to come to NZ
Another great adventure, mate. that boat seems perfect for that kind of mission. Most of us would be too scared to anchor there. As a non diver I'm amazed that you didn't find crays galore in that kind of remote environment. Just a tip re the whole snapper - if you put some lemon slices and herbs inside the cleaned gut cavity, it tends to infuse the flesh even more. You could get fancy and pre make up a rub at home - with Asian flavours including ginger, garlic, chilli, lemon grass, mint etc. Stunning with snapper.
Thanks mate. Yeah, I'll definitely make some more interesting recipes going forward! Well, Maybe I was a bit silly anchoring there, not too much to go wrong there in such calm conditions however. Cheers for the comment
Spent a fair bit of time fishing solo, no sure I got big enough nuts to go solo underwater but agree 100% the things you see the way things work out, the way you feel, is tremendous for mind and body, you are never alone in nature, hahaha not sure what you are doing here if you don’t like the outdoors was a fantastic comment and sums up every kiwi I have ever known, outdoor people and why not once again you have shown us why NZ is one of the worlds most beautiful places in the world. Thanks for taking us along, well done mate tough conditions low vis but your hunger to provide great content shows through, and you needed a feed but what was the water temp, low and tough going I’m sure. Such an enjoyable production thanks again I am a proud supporter and encourage all watching to support this channel so we all get more, I’m too old and fat be be jumping in the winter water let alone a NZ coastline as good as it looks I imagine it’s bloody freezing and the rocks on the beach didn’t look too soft but now I don’t have too, Ollie does it for me, a channel well worth supporting. I do join me
Hey mate, Thanks so much for the positive feedback! You're right, we are never alone in nature! Water isnt too cold, only about 15/16 degrees! Nice in warm in my 5mm Seabuck suit!
Ollie you’re the reason why I’ve gone and bought me a boat lol. Seriously though your videos a amazing man. Really raw and yes you’re right there’s nothing better than being out in the outdoors. Thanks again bro. Really appreciate your content. It’s pretty inspiring bro.
Cheers Jerry love to hear feedback like this. All the best out there bro!!

Thanks bro 👍
Looks great!!
Cheers! Sure was
I do the same quite often mate, overnighters on my cabin boat. So peaceful when your out by yourself with just the stars and moonlight lighting up the water. Switch off from all the white noise around us even if it is just for a night.
Good stuff ! Yeah, I would do the same on my boat if it was a bit bigger haha, also not filling up with water slowly though the rear scupper! One night away if more than enough for a quick reset
Absolutely love your videos!
Glad you like them! Cheers Leon
great video ollie. can't wait to visit the nz

Thanks!
Beautiful sharing ❤️❤️
Thank you! Cheers!
100% agree Ollie, solo missions are so good. And loving the content, thanks alot, always looking forward to the next ep... 🤙
Quick question, do you use any tools to predict the viz? Don't know if you've heard of the Cawthroneye, but it uploads 2 satellite images a day which is quite helpful to see where murky waters are. I'm quite new to the sport, so still trying to learn what creates murky waters ect...
Thanks mate! Yes I use Cawthron eye, also look into Nasa World view, play around with the chloryphill layers etc can help also
You’re the man bro
Thanks Jordan
Great Ollie :) Nice shot in the Snaper fish 🐟🎯
Thanks mate! Tasted good :)
Cheers for sharing mate, that cooked snap though salivating here 😆

Cheers for another little adventure bro. Yes going solo is good for your soul and away from madness for sure. I agree with everthing you said... hey and I like how pat your fish goodbye. Haha. Cheers again buddy take care🙂👌
Haha thanks mate. Yep, can't beat a good solo mission away
Wow, such a nice adventure, so relaxing. Maybe I'll retire to NZ. It looks SO nice. And if thats "winter" then what's not to like? Excellent video, thanks for taking me along!!
Cheers mate! Yes, Winter is very mild up here in the North Island
Great stuff man pure kiwi right there 🤟🏽
Thanks mate!
There’s nothing glorious about trying to get out of the ocean in the wash with fins and weight on is there, hahaha. Nice fish!!
Agree on getting away from all the bull crap out there, just doing stuff, keeping active is great for mental well-being.
Haha nah never is easy getting out! Thanks mate. Yeah bro Nature is the best stress relief and cure for mental health I know of!
Hi Ollie. Fantastic adventure mate. I have fished land-based to the south of the bay for eighteen years. It was great to recognize this place from another angle. Last four years has not fished well. As for mental health. Awesome mate. Can't wait for your next mission
Cheers Gerry! Interesting about not fishing too well.. Suprising considering the abundance of Snapper in farms etc nearby. Definitely didn't have that 'Fishy' feeling and I covered a fair bit of coast. Strange
Hi Ollie. Thanks for reply. I do have some theories about that. For years the predominant wind was SW. This has changes, so the coast doesn't get the regular wash it used too. Also there is alot of pressure from Auckland booties that never used to be there. Try the other side at the same latertude. It's still a beautiful place. Look forward to your next video. Cheers Gerry
@@gerrywilmering6909 cheers will do! Lots of country to explore that side
Thanks, hoping to be doing something this weekend on a tropical beach in Panama 🇵🇦. First session since emigrating here from South Africa in October
Nice! Would love to dive Panama one day
Kardeşim Türkiyeden selamlar. Videoların çok güzel. Böyle devam et. Başarılar.
Good vid bro
Thanks bro
Good shit bro
Cheers bro
Great vids man. Love the approach. Passed you on your way up to waikawau in kopu when I was working. Gutted! Looked like a good trip too
Thanks Greg! oh right! All the best mate
@@olliecraig-primalpursuit Quality shirts too. Real nice design. Go well 🤙
@@greglindsay8142 thanks mate!
great spot there ive done alot of land based fishing there good snapper big trevs and even caught s few crays at night hooked on rod and reel
Nice! Might have to do some more exploring there!
NICE SHOT!!!! Stoned him propper.
We played the crap that's a lot of rocks game a few years back. Use an Etool to dig under the grass and roots on an incline. Rolled them up like sod and unrolled them over the rocks. Few layers and it was what rocks? I don't feel any rocks... Put the grass when we left. No idea if recovered but it's better then waiting for my back to recover......
Thanks for the Vid.
Cheers mate! My blow up mattress sounds a bit easier than that! haha
Great video again Ollie! Never hesitate to give us info like what gun you are using and why, and what wetsuit you are wearing. Anyone watching this channel will be interested in that
Thanks Roland! Will keep that in mind! thanks for the feedback
Rate the videos, man! One of the creators I anticipate videos from!
Quick question, are you looking to sell primal pursuit diving gear? Would rather buy gear from you than a big corporate.
Cheers Shaun! I've though about it but do't really want to turn into a retail store just yet. I've worked in that industry and it sucks ahah. I'll start to sell a few items potentially. working on a few. Let me know if there would be anything that you would be interested in buying, could see what interest there is
Kia ora ollie shot for another solid vid, next time try those snapper eyes my bro lol, they are off the ricter!!!!
Haha Ok bro I'll give it a nudge next time
Meke vid bro🤙🏼..
My hint / tip would be Fresh,Thick White Bread to accompany the snapper..
Reka!!!
Haha I know that would be a good combo! just trying to lay off the bread, it doesnt like me but i like the bread!
Mean brother love the videos an really inspiring.an to get away from all the bullshit love it🔥🔥
good stuff man! get into it!
The campfire warms the soul! Another great video, camp/catch/cook, can't beat that. Hey Ollie, what is that lube you poured in the suit? I need to replace the body wash that I use, I got a kind of reaction on my skin last dive. No warm enough for snapper here in the south west coast, cheers!
Thanks mate yeah hard to beat a good campfire. It's called Octacle wetsuit lube. check out there website. It wont give you a rash its good stuff
Any tips for remembering where you set your burley?
Use float and line bro , just drop your gun 10m away from where ya set you burley facing the direction 😅 that's what I do unless swell is pumping then your fucked
Weghted line and float.
as replies below, Otherwise if it's set close enough to some coastline then you can remember a landmark or put a rock up on the rocks etc anything to mark the spot. Definitely lost a few burleys in my time however!
Thanks Ollie, hope you did eyes and moreover cheeks?? 😆 cheers Deb ps a stunning place, hope the mattress got rid of the stones.
Didn't eat the eyes but the cheeks were great!
Yep magic place. Didn't feel any rocks, mattress was great!
Beautiful coastline, camp spot a bit rocky. Why did you say the driftwood is toxic ? Thanks for your videos Ollie once again, loving it.
Just look up on google toxic driftwood and you will understand what I mean.
Thanks Ollie, living over in Qatar, you’re making me want to move back home! Keep it up. And use less salt bro - we want you to live to 100k subs 🙏🙏🤣😂
Haha, Salts good for you! haha Thanks man will do
Hi Ollie, Although I've been following your amazing terra-firma and aquatic adventures, I haven't mentioned a post for quite a while. You will be pleased to hear that your name and blogs pop up in conversation amongst a few of my spearfishing buddies here in Australia :). I am researching wetsuit lube ATM for my personal use. I see you using a powder, but I didn't catch the brand. If possible, I would appreciate your view on it. Sending gratitude and appreciation on informative, entertaining, and progressive channel.....Keep up the good work....Cheers, Trev
Hey Trev! Thank's for the update. I use a powdered lube called Octacle (based here in NZ) Pretty sure they send worldwide. Seaweed based so not harsh on your skin like most.
@@olliecraig-primalpursuit Thanks Ollie, I couldn't see the label clearly on the video (sun reflection). And I appreciate that you are required to be selective when mentioning products. All the best. Trev
Hey bro its looks like up PJ way. Coming over in August. Hopefully will catch up with Stu and the Port
Yep! Oh nice one, Stu should have his new Ute then so adventures all go
@@olliecraig-primalpursuit i was watching one of your cook ups yesterday and it made me go out and buy some seafood hahaha. But nothing like cooking on the rocks after hunting.
@@mcboko1111 yeah hard to beat fresh on a beach
👍🐠🔥
Thanks!
Wish I had the stamina and guts to do this. Sitting in the middle of Christchurch city people being stabbed shot or abused left and right. I find watching helps the mind wander and dream and creates this internal boil to push me to do something out there.
Shit, sounds a bit rough down there! Plenty of good Crayfish on the coast there I hear!
@@olliecraig-primalpursuit that is true. Kaikoura ways might find the odd couple
Yeah I love to have some alone time from the noise of society as I call it. Nothing better than being out amongst nature and enjoying the sights and sounds.
I usually put salmon with a some italian herbs that you buy in the squeeze bottle. Maybe it would work with snapper?
Give us a run down on the fourby sometime Ollie. Are you going to kit it out much?
Spot on James. Yeah I will experiment a bit more in future! Perhaps mate, Nothing much to it, just a normal Jimny but with all terrain tyres!
Geez ollie, how uncomfortable was it sleeping on those rocks 😆
I had a great sleep! The air mattress saved me didn't feel a single rock!
Living the dream Ollie. Have you tried wrapping your fish in kelp or seaweed?
Trying to! No not yet, I've seen a few people doing it. Perhaps I'll try it out. Need to be in the right locstion to get the correct seaweed I believe. It's not everywhere
I would love to live in New Zealand, its just too expensive if you arent a tradie :) The house pricing is just absolutely insane, but other than that, its absolute paradise and I cant think of a better place to live.
Yep, The cost of living is just ridiculous. Need a new government
Ollie hi, please spare a moment for a fellow Spearo who sadly passed away, he was a true and kind spirited Spearo, living and diving the length and breadth of Indonesia, as a Croatian he spoke Bahasa and was well liked by the locals. DS Living (Dejan Sverko) 🌊🐬🔱
That's sad news. When did he pass? I am familiar with his work and the area of Sulawesi he stayed.
Hi Peter, Yes I saw he sadly passed away. Big loss for the community
очень красиво и без людей !
Surely it would be a whole lot easier to get a few snapper on a softbait, prob not as fun though I guess.
Nah, not as fun! and less of a Challenge! But having said that I do enjoy a good strayline session!
fuking mean great stuff 👏
Thanks!
Question Ollie? What do you do for a job? My guess is your builder. Am I right?
Haha Nah, not a builder, Few different things
hey bro ollie, do you know DS living , dejan sverco?? I've been waiting for his post,, one of the best diver i watched. he's dead now. i feel sad😭. take care brother.
Yes I heard about Dejan. Very Sad News!
Is that on the tip or coromandal ?? Fuck that road is so shit to drive loving the weekly videos bro 🤙🤙
Cheers bro 🤙🤙
Are you sponsored by bush buck? If you are then you should put them in your description
How did u gut it?
I gutted the fish in the water as I always do. nice easy clean up after
You should grab some kina in general for burly
Yep, hard to fail with a few Kina too
Harika azim sulandi good
thanks!
Str8 Up Buddy just switch off from all the bullshit & enjoy our beautiful country Aotearoa New Zealand 💯❤️👍
that's it bro!
yeah love your show and agree to all you say i.e solo is good for the soul etc .......just a Q why do you say that driftwood is toxic and that's why it burns your eyes ? just an observation :)
When you're sitting around a driftwood bonfire you'll be inhaling a toxic chemical known as dioxin. Burning the absorbed salt releases sodium and chlorine ions which form dioxins that are carcinogenic. People with bronchitis or asthma are particularly vulnerable from breathing these in.
Hey Ollie. I haven't done diving or spearfishing before but am very interested to know this sport. Do you know any places or courses around that could help. I'm a new beginner and am based in Auckland. Any place you prefer will be grateful. Cheers. Samson
There is quite a few courses in Auckland that offer the freediving part of the training which is most crucial. From there you can get in the water and learn the rest over time
Too much brother mean as.
Thanks bro!
I just asked a question on a video that was posted 8 months ago grrr check it please sir thanks
ok
Don’t answer if you don’t won’t to I was just wondering if you made money off these videos.?
Yes, RUclips creators receive some payment from Google ads etc
