In this adventure, I head off to the beach on my new Paddleboard to hunt the Elusive NZ Snapper. I am in a popular dive location so it makes for hard work. I stay persistent and manage to land a nice Snapper on the speargun to take home and turn into beautiful Sushi!

I just ordered an inflatable fishing paddle board the other day, still waiting for it. For its maiden voyage I'm actually just going to head out into the ocean and do some snorkelling off of it, paddle around get used to the balance and then take it fishing. I got an anchor for it so it doesn't drift away when I'm not on it.
The place I would fish is a murky river, would hate to end up falling in so thought I would get a feel for the balance somewhere I don't mind falling.

Snapper Sushi?! Smashed on that one. I think your snapper might had survived a previous spearo atemp. Your fins have a tag on the back of the heels to help the fit in, like mine does. What I did was make tinny holes on that and feed small paracord loops( removed the inner strands to make it slimmer) now a can clip it on carabiners or shark clip... I did this after had lose my second pair of fins from my kayak in the surf. Nice to have the species identification. How about the marble fish, have you tried it?
