Youll see Ollie pull his snorkel out when diving. Its best practice in case of blackouts. You dont want to be floating on the surface choking on water in your snorkel.
Go practice at the pools and learn your limits. Try taking 3 big breathes before diving down.
Relax and cruise. If your coming up hyperventilating your body is near its limit and your risking blackout.

Nice one Ollie, love the vids- as a kiwi stuck overseas it makes me very homesick! Love the positive message you put out there too man, it’s not about bagging as many fish as you can, spearos and fishermen need to be stewards of the ocean. What a sweet spot. Perhaps I'm gonna start looking at a kayak. What do you use for float line? Looked like rubber..

Yeah mate, Don't need anything flash any old kayak will do the job. BIgger ones like mine (4m +) def help on the longer missions but I started on a crappy old thing. That line is a Riffe hard line. Any hard line will do from a reputable brand, some of the cheaper ones don't last very long.

Awesome video enjoy watching your adventures, totally disagree on the commercial cray pots though completely against commercial take for money as the crays are so slow growing and unsustainable.
