LOL, I hate what LG did in terms of trying to manage reviews of this product but don't go putting out "fake news" on problems that are not confirmed to exist for this monitor. I've run almost all panel types out there, overall IPS is my preferred panel type for overall image quality.
That's what i've been searching for but nobody has the BALLS to mention it. Only "verified purchases" owners who are willing to speak their REAL minds outta it I mean, if it's "Nano IPS", then put the B to a test on such aspects, right?
I was thinking about it, the guy is reading the manual and show us an type of unboxing, he needs the tools and the knowledge to do a proper review of the monitor(like Hardware Unboxed, Rtings, TFT and others)
This “review” is absolute trash. It’s more of an ad for LG in which you you read the spec sheet and then getting it wrong by saying this has HDR10 which it certainly doesn’t. I have this monitor by the way.
@@jamesdunphy1207 it is a very good monitor for the price. I personally decided to go ultrawide so I can’t speak to long term ownership, but if you can pick up the monitor for 400 or less like I’ve seen today then you will be very satisfied.

This has me tearing my hair out as its the third time I've heard this. Are you required to read this or something? If your point is that the Nano-IPS has a wider color gamut than some monitors, then say that! Love it. I have an old 27'' 60hz 1080 LG Flatron monitor/TV combo. I'm surviving with it and my 4k tv 120hz sony X90J with a GTX 3060ti. After playing in the 4k tv It's hard to go back to the 27 inch...
The distance when placed facing you - the back stand to the end of the front legs is 30cm. Each leg is 25cm in length, but they are angled to the left and right. The base itself is approx 10cm and this is attached to the legs. It's not a small base at all. My desk is 60cm depth, and I have to angle my keyboard to make it fit nicely. I have bought a sound bar but I'm not sure how that's going to pan out :)
It depends how far you plane on sitting from your monitor, 27"/1440p QHD for a distance of 2.6 to 3.6 ft. and 32"/1440p QHD for a distance of 3.2 to 4.3 ft. these are more guidelines than they are hard rules. For me a 32" at 3 ft. still looks great and I can't see individual pixels but everyone is different and has there own sweet spot and preference.
That depends! I think the 27" 1440p is the sweet spot but I´m upgrading to a 32" display, so, I sound suspect ! At 2 years ago the 24" was my sweet spot for gaming, then I bought a 27" and now I think I´m prepared for a bigger one(yack that sounds so gay) :P, and off course it depends how far u sit from ur panel. btw the ppi on 27" is bigger, so it´s nicer too, 32" with 1440p is like 24" with full hd. I believe not so far in the future the 32"4K 180hz will be the common choice(if the gpus price came to msrp off course).
@@Ki11erBassist I love playing in a 4k 50'' TV more than a 1080p 27'' monitor. The Monitor is 60 cm in front of me and the tv is on the left of the monitor separated by 20 cm. Normally I swivel VESA foot mount, my distance to the center is 80 to 100 cm. So to feel I have a upgrade after all this years I need to go bigger, quicker and more resolution and 1440p is the perfect one for my PC for now.
You dont test for light bleeding. Mine has a lot of light bleeding both top and bottom corners on the right hand side of the panel. Looking around it appears that its very common with this monitor :( Sadly very off putting when you have a dark or black screen being displayed.
@@JohnLee1988 I ended up sending mine back and ordering the Odyssey G7. A VA panel with better black levels and hopefully not that much light bleed. A shame about the GP850 though could have been good just couldnt cope with the IPS glow especially when I had spent all that money it I would expect a lot more. You did well going through four of them, I would havent given up before then :)
i have this monitor, question, can you use oc mode to 180hz and also gsync? When i choose oc mode on osd the adaptive sync is greyed out why? Thanks in advance!
Sounds like Windows defaulted HDR on. Right-click on your desktop go to display options and turn it off. When HDR is on the monitor locks out most options.

After purchasing the previous model gl850 there’s no way I could go back to my ASIS rog 1080p 144hz TN. The new IPS panels are close TN panels as far as response times but the added colour and clarity more than make up for it. Needles to say I went ahead and purchased this model as well😎
@@jdawgnickleback1713 Hey mate, first set Adaptive Sync on your monitor to Extended - Settings, Game Adjust, Adaptive Sync, Extended. Then while in Game Adjust go to Overclock, On. If you have an Nvidia Gpu open Control Panel, click Change Resolution then check 180hz in the Refresh Rate box and click OK down the bottom right corner. Then on your Pc click Settings, Display, scroll down and click Advanced Display Settings. Down the bottom it should say 180hz, if it doesnt, click the box and click on 180hz. If you have an AMD Gpu there should be a setting similar to the one mentioned above. Let me know if you have any dramas. If you want to know its working push the button on the bottom of your monitor twice to enter settings and it should be displayed in the top left corner of the overlay.

Why does everyone label g sync as a competitive setting to tick. Its exactly the opposite its absolutely not recommended to to have it on when playing competitive games.
I wanted a 27" 1440p for a more high definition picture look with more pixels per square inch, but after spending over 100 hours researching & getting familiar with all the different features & specs, I found I would have to sacrifice either getting a better picture or better speed FOR MY NEEDS. You can get both a better picture & even slightly better speeds with much more expensive monitors. However, even they wouldn't work for my needs. I intend to play on a Xbox at 30 & 60fps, because of the games limitations. The issue with most expensive monitors, is although they are fantastic for 120 fps or more they suffer horribly in response times &/or input lag when being used at =/< 60Hz. This LG has great all around specs. It's weakest being 1037:1 native contrast, which I would've liked to see more around 1200:1. Most ISP panels are 800:1 to 1200:1, with exceptions both lower & higher. I've come across other monitors that peaked my interest based on specs, but after further research found they had universal problems in which a certain feature didn't work or they were designed poorly in another way.
@@xxx333mmm Wrong! Rtings (A reliable source) tested hundreds of monitors & listed the LG 32GP850-B at 1,037:1 contrast ratio to 735:1 contrast ratio for the LG 27GP850-B. On the LG website specs they list both the 27" & 32" at the same contrast ratio specs. Maybe next time check your facts before commenting.

I have buy the LG 32GP850 what u think about the sharpness? 50% sharpness looks ok but not perfekt idk and all over 50 looks fucking terrible :x have a 27 inch acer ips and the sharpness looks alot better
So the monitor tilts, up and down. The monitor rotates 90 degrees to the RIGHT (only). You cannot rotate it to the left. Also you CANNOT swivel it left or right - for this you need to lift up the legs slightly and rotate the stand itself - which isn't the end of the world but a little nuisance.
Terrible review. Felt like I couldnt trust a word that was said. Not even one bad thing mentioned about the monitor, must mean its perfect. Lol, no. Thid was sales pitch.
Had one of these and it suffered from IPS Glow and light bleed in the right top and bottom corners. Sent it back for a refund. Also know someone who had four of them and had the same issue.with them all.
I just bought this and I think I'm good from monitors for a long while lol am extremely excited for this one!

I've been through four of these. All pretty bad bleed/glow on the right side corners. My third was perfect, except it had dead pixel center screen 🙁

No. It doesn't have HDMI 2.1. It has HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.4
2.1 only applies to 4k120hz hdr monitors or tvs. 1440p monitors will never support 2.1 cos it's not necessary for that res.

What the difference between this and the 32gp83b they seem almost identical
32gp83b has no USB ports, that's the only difference
It also appears it is missing several speed control features and 180 overclock. This is just by reviewing the manuals side by side.

bought two of these, had to return them. Horrible IPS glow. Very disappointed with LG quality control. Way worse than the outgoing model!

It's 1440p why would u need hdmi 2.1? Max bandwidth for 1440p165hz is about 20gbps. Hdmi 2.0b can do 18gbps while dp 1.4 can handle 32gbps.
no point having 2.1 , only benefit of 2.1 is to achieve 4K 120HZ, this panel is 1440P (2K) 180HZ
