Hi, I just wanna say, I’ve been looking for a new monitor recently and your videos have been extremely helpful with my search! I really appreciate all the info you give in your reviews, especially all of the different tests you do! I subscribed just so I can make sure I don’t miss any future reviews!
Hey that's awesome to hear! That's my goal, to help people like you find information about the products you're about to purchase. I'm glad it worked. Thanks for the sub and I'll see you on the next video.
@@BainCustom Hello, I need a new monitor ASAP. I would really appreciate your opinion. I'm deciding between monitor from this video and Asus ProArt PA278QV. Both are 1440p IPS, but Asus is only 75hz, on the other side Asus is marketed as Calman certified monitor with accurate colors. Accurate colors are important for me because I do video and photo editing, but also gaming... This is where I need help / suggestion. Is it really a big difference in speed and color accuracy between these two models? Thanks in advance!
These are great on used market right now. I've snatched 27'' one for 140eur in pristine condition, with no panel defects. Getting it for my mom to upgrade her old TN 1920x1080 panel, she can now actually do some sRGB work on a decent size screen instead of on her 14'' laptop screen :)
Yeah the contrast ratio isn’t good for night gaming, but it is what it is. At that price tho you still get plenty of features. Plus overdrive setting are more polished is not just about that 180hz
Is it just crashing the dark areas or too bright? Yeah their overdrive settings are better than their previous models. I fully agree with that upgrade.

Noboy answers my particular question. Tn panels are super sharp on hectic movements especially shooters. Can this monitor can keep up with an tn panel? Im using an benq 2411xl.
🙏 It depends on if your GPU is capable of achieving 180fps or lower. It's nice to have, but if you are getting 120hz, then it serves no purpose to OC to 180 from 165.
Thank you. I have changed up the shooting method for benchmarking that has a better angle. More of a trial and error on that end, but it has gotten much better. Thanks for letting me know!
What is your hardware? As long as you have a current gen graphics card, you can technically achieve 1440p 180hz. But most graphics cards won't hit that at 1440p. 3070 with low-med settings or 3080 and above will achieve about 180 at med-high settings.
To do a proper review you need to do a little more research on how to test out response times correctly. Otherwise youre gonna get a bunch of dislikes.
What research are you referring to? Like the various types of panel and how they differ or the actual testing behind it? Explain a bit more because I am interested to know what you mean by that. Thanks man.

if price doesn't matter ⁉️
I would probably look into some of the ROG or ViewSonic monitors if price was no issue. They are typically more color accurate, have better Black level performance, better menus and more features. That's my 2 cents anyways.

@@BainCustom whats better bro lg ultragear 27gp83b or the 27 lg gp 850 b for xbox series x also would this take the number one spot over the gp83b ??
hi I'm thinking of buying the the 32inch version of this monitor the lg 32gp850 its currently available for £399.99 it looks like a good deal I have researched the 32 inch model its slower in response times than the 27inch do you think it's worth getting the 32 inch its for xbox one x
100%, I have a few friends that bought the 32 and they are loving it and aren't saying anything bad. I specifically checked for that reason.
@@BainCustom ok that's great thank you for replying to me
the 27 inch version has just come in stock for a slightly higher price what's your thoughts on which size to pick I know the 27 inch version is quicker in response time
Since that is the one I have tested, I would recommend it over the 32. But I doubt you would notice a huge difference.
@@BainCustom my monitor just arrived I chose the 27inch thank you for your advice I hope it lives up to expectations thanks again
Is this the 32 inch version?
This is the 27 inch version. Very similar in all aspects though.
I just found you. Great Channel. Subs. =)
have any 1440p monitors that can do 120 fps ,vrr with 10 bit on the xbox ?
This one.
I'm a little confused @@BainCustom you said that the hdmi would not allow the 10 bit
in my country gp83 doesnt exist and this is like 20 bucks more expensive than gn850 so i guess its worth this 20 bucks more
100%
There are probably some comparable models to the GP83 for you, but both monitors are fantastic. GG's!
Man I need help I bought this monitor for my series x and it not allowed to switch on 1440p I can only go to 1080 or 4k it don't show me 1440p but why I hope you can help me
Are you sure you got the GP850? I had minimal setup, follow the instructions in the video about disabling 4K video. Which it sounds like you have not, and you will be just fine. Here is a video with a better description of how to switch off 4K video, but you don't have to do the rest of what the video shows. ruclips.net/video/hAGALLZbiPw/видео.html
@@BainCustom all good the problem was I use for my ps5 this astro hdmi converter and that's only hdmi 1.4 so it couldn't work but now it works perfectly
I just bought this for $300. I hope I did good.
You did indeed!
Thanks. I really like it. Much better than what I was using.
How is it now bro
@@knowwork9 still really good
Bought mine for $339 before taxes can’t wait for it to arrive
What! I've never seen it that low!
Got it for $225 with a $150 gift card at Newegg...
It’s going for $270 on LG webpage right now. Worth it over the LG 27GN800-B?
Noboy answers my particular question.
Tn panels are super sharp on hectic movements especially shooters. Can this monitor can keep up with an tn panel? Im using an benq 2411xl.
It is not top tier for motion, but it is damn good.
@@BainCustom thanks so much :)
Built in speakers?
I believe so.
I apologize, it's been a little while and I don't have the spec sheet in front of me.
Does it have a audio like can i hear a sound without headset ?
Non 7 mois après ta une réponse il a une sortie jack
Good video ,tks , i play warzone is better to put oc mode with 180hz ?
🙏
It depends on if your GPU is capable of achieving 180fps or lower. It's nice to have, but if you are getting 120hz, then it serves no purpose to OC to 180 from 165.
@@BainCustom ok tks , i will see
Such a helpful video thanks man ... I just have one qeastion when you turn on hdr you use it in which mode gamer 1 or gamer 2 rts ,?
I used Gamer 1 and calibrate myself. No that there is a ton to calibrate, but it helps.
Gotta a question I got the 27 in 165hz ultra gear I’m playing Fortnite how do I play on 165hz I play on ps4
U cant bro. Even with ps5 u can’t play more than 120HZ if u ain’t using HDMi 2.1 (ps5)
Otherwise how is the monitor. I have ps5 trying to go from 1080p to 1440p. Can u adjust high
How can u play on 165 hz in general
Currently I have Samsung Odessy G3.
@@domisbetter-hd8hg if am right u can only play that on PC not on console.
The monitor should not be so skewed in the film...
Thank you. I have changed up the shooting method for benchmarking that has a better angle. More of a trial and error on that end, but it has gotten much better. Thanks for letting me know!
is this good for ps5?
How is this monitor compare to the lg83b?
I made a video just for you my friend.

@@BainCustom isn't the gb850 165hz too?
Please help me
Can it attain 180hz at 1440p?
I have all pieces for my first ever pc, all I need is a monitor to achieve 144hz/fps at 1440p.
What is your hardware? As long as you have a current gen graphics card, you can technically achieve 1440p 180hz. But most graphics cards won't hit that at 1440p. 3070 with low-med settings or 3080 and above will achieve about 180 at med-high settings.

HDMI doesn't support higher refresh rates because of bandwidth limits. Why not use display port?

To do a proper review you need to do a little more research on how to test out response times correctly. Otherwise youre gonna get a bunch of dislikes.
What research are you referring to? Like the various types of panel and how they differ or the actual testing behind it? Explain a bit more because I am interested to know what you mean by that. Thanks man.
