I bought 27gl83 at first as it seems very popular. Had terrible ips glow almost half a screen left side. Got replacement from Amazon, guess what exactly the same. So gone with refund and paid extra £80 for 27gp850 , glad I did so much better picture quality and ips glow very minimal. This seems great monitor 👌
Yea thats the bad thing about older ips monitors. Some have much glow some have much less. I think the gp850 is the second best option you can go for in that price range. The gigabyte m28u is a little better but thats just my opinion
@@seniorAlfredo gigabyte M27Q and M28U both have BGR subpixel layout which is a big no no, RGB subpixel layout is better while reading and working on documents
@@shreyasdharashivkar8027 the M28U has an RGB subpixel layout. The M27Q has a newer revision with RGB as well but the older revision was BGR.

What brightness, contrast and sharpness settings do you have? Also do you have custom rgb colour settings?
Still holds up today as one of the best midrange options. Its on sale atm for 130$ less. At a nice price of 299.99 (300$ xD)

@@zurenity5460 i havent had any black level issues with mine, its an amazing with nice rich color, ps its a lottery ticket not all are buildt the same.
@@CaptNemo_ thank you for the reply. Im returning mine because the black levels just seem off to me. Theres no denying the picture is brilliant it just seems a bit off with the colours.
@@zurenity5460 bro, just tweak the settings. Maybe its pre-calibration from factory would be not great.

bought this 6 months ago and it was great! exactly how you described it however it started to have crazy ghosting recently and i seriously have no clue as to why that is. Same happened to a friend of mine with the same monitor but also some other monitors. Can ghosting on a monitor be caused by a pc after a certain time? like maybe it gets worn of by certain graphics cards or whatever idk

What would you choose? lg 27gp850-b, gigabyte m27q or asus tuf gaming vg27ql1a? I dont know which is better, ill mostly use it for playing games like valorant and watch movies.

What’s the difference between the 850 and the 850-b? So confusing.
Looking to by either this spec or the 27GN800P since that has only 144Hz and I’m only going to be using is for PS5 gaming, is 165hz too much for ps5 or shoul I spend or extra 60€ for the upgrade ?

Can you please make S3422DWG review, I'm really interested in it, but I'm scared of ghosting/black smearing. I currently own S2719DGF(TN Panel) and would like to upgrade, possibly to ultrawide. Your LG Ultra Gear is one of the options but the GP model is not yet available in my country, 34GN850 is but it is cca. 1000€. Acer Predator X34GS that is similarly priced here has better specs on paper, and design, so if I decide to spend that much money would probably go for Predator(also not many review online for it, don't know why).

It's a top notch monitor, given the picture quality, response time, and refreshrate. I would argue it's the best all around 1440p gaming monitor in any price range, super happy with my purchase.
I bought one of these yesterday. Should be here early next week. Also got some cheap Logitech speakers to go with it since LG monitors usually don't come with integrated speakers (not a huge deal though). I'm going to be mounting this into a nice monitor arm I got from Amazon a couple months back.
@@TheRikardo91 Yep, I can confirm that the monitor does not in fact come with speaker which is not a problem at all given that monitor speakers are usually pretty bad. I actually just ordered myself a pair of creative pebbles. You're absolutely gonna love this monitor, well worth the money.
@@abo_3a729 Absolutely, I haven't been keeping up with the market since I bought mine but I imagine it's still fantastic value. While I was in the market there were monitors that hit 240-270 fps which is better for gaming but they were also priced 200 dollars higher.

Not sure I like the buttons bottom middle - I have a Tobii Eye tracker 5 that runs along the bottom of the monitor, will this hinder the button use. also does the bevel get warm after a while there too?

I‘ve the samsung ue28e950d 4k@60hz with a tn panel. Is the upgrade worth it to this one? I don‘t need 4k gor my ps5 and series x but i want a good image quality in terms of colours and brightness and 120hz is a nice additional feature

How is the IPS glow on your unit? I'm returning it because the IPS glow on mine is horrible on the left side and not only in black scenes. Even cycling throughout colors when testing/looking for dead pixels, the left side is more brighter! Really disappointed.
Mine has a little in the top right corner but i didn’t replace it because it’s so small but if it were bigger I would return it. My only complaint is the lack of color vibrance

Between 27GP850 and LG 27GP850-B.AED?
hi this monitor sometimes reflects in the middle (vertical strip in the middle) and I see a partial reflection. When I restart this goes away. Any idea why this might be happening I checked its not because of any screen split settings and I am not using screen split. Any idea? Thanks
why does the picture quality look so bad of the monitor in this video? is it really that bad? it looks faded and some kind of gray tint to it. I just bought it on Amazon the other day for 299 Euros btw so the price got lower it seems.

Bought this monitor and plugged it in and it was working great but as soon as I started a game it had blue lines on it then never displayed again. Even the OSD won’t show up.
Bought mine a few months back and didn’t and still haven’t had any problems. Only thing i don’t like about it is the lack of vibrance but even for $400 it was a good deal going from 1080p 144Hz to this and my 2080Ti can still push these frames in modern games which is cool

Hi, I also have this monitor. There is a question bothers me for long time. When I set "adaptive-sync" as basic, "overlock" option works fine but "motion blur reduction" option grayed out. But if I turn off G-sync in nvidia control panel, then "adaptive-sync" option will gray out and "motion blur reduction" works fine, but "overlock" option also gray out!!! I am really confused. BTW, I use display port rather than hdmi. I really appreciate if you know the reason!!!
u can only use MBR with the optiones disabled as u experienced.

Edit: just found it. The 27GP850P-B is exactly the same but has a European certificate.

I'm tempted to get this monitor as JB hifi just got it in stock in Australia, are their any known faults/common problems i should know of though? as this will be the third high refresh rate monitor i have tried to by in the past two months as the other two i tried were gigabyte ones and I had to return both due to them being faulty and I dont want to have to do that again. I will be using it mostly with my series x for gaming/movies.

@@chevron-vw5rn Got it today. Looks good, colours look great and can't see any sort of ghosting / tearing. Little bit of your standard IPS glow in bottom left and right when looking at a pure black screen, but I loaded up Overwatch and walked into the corner of a dark room and I couldn't see the glow at all, so that all seems within normal bounds. There's a tiny bit of blacklight bleed on the top edge but again, can't see it in game. No dead pixels or anything. QC wise I'd say it's done pretty well for me. Let me know if you have any other questions :)

same. B is just a Model sold in other Regions.
