@@vtown871 I mix the 2. I only put out small piles to keep them coming and spreading the word to all their little buddies. One bag of sweet feed and one bag of corn can last me a month. Small piles about the size of a ball cap!! About 3 or 4 piles.
John Toothman I’ll have to try that!!! This is the first year we can Legally bait in alabama and I know my deer have been going through 100lbs of ricebrand and sweet feed a week
John Toothman also I have a serious doe problem on this new property I have pics of 30 does in the fields at a time.. needless to say my bow season is basically dedicated to thinning the herd
Thanks for the content, the video looks great. Can I suggest balancing the audio more consistently though. My AirPods just made my ears bleed when you dumped the corn in front of the lense.
I prefer putting the feed on the ground also. I agree with Joe Ellis, I always let DNR know where our bait stations are so there won't be any problems. In my case, the landowner won't let us put in any plots so we had to resort to bait stations.
The Ice man Series I'm also Joe Ellis just a different one. we can hunt over bait in my state btw. I think it should be legal were ever there is a strong deer herd IMO.
In my area the deer LOVE carrots. I get 1200 pounds of 'cull carrots' from a local farm who sells them for $20. On average the deer will eat all 1200lbs in about 4 weeks.
One week before you hunt and then only after each hunt. Why after each hunt because putting out corn is noisy! They will keep coming back to check. I never go to my stand for anything other than to hunt except for that first time putting out corn and setting up ground blind because of scent and noise pollution. Knowledge of your hunting area will eliminate using bait.
Seems like a really nice professional high quality video camera when you were in the truck and when you were mixing your antler grow, what kind is it if I may ask?
Putting out large amounts of shelled corn can give a deer acidosis and kill them. www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,4570,7-153-10370_12150_12220-26508--,00.html I think it's a better idea to simply plant some food plots.
I dont rake any leaves,, i just throw it in about a 40 yards square, useually 100 pounds at a time,, the deer work the area good and keeps there heads down while they are in my corn pile rooting it out of the leaves,, they would have it all eaten up to fast if i racked it plus i like it that they have to work for it a little bit. They are busy with there face going thru the leaves when my bullets hit em in the shoulder. Just how i do it,, may be better ways and if so id be glad to hear others advise on it,, would be appreciated..
It does work but turns into a macro nutrition. It’s not the correct method to do it and for what it does. It’s designed for plants so the plant can absorb it through the leaves. But with the ticker in the product it sticks to the corn.
6:47 man I put out just a 50lb pound of corn for the first time at my cattle farm I put it in a pile and 6 bucks came running no single stepping and does come running
You know that feeding large amounts of corn to deer, especially late in the season leads to acidosis? Do what you wish, but this isn't something that should be encouraged. Rabbit, goat, or horse feed is a better option if you going to dump large quantities.
Well I’m not in Indiana so that doesn’t matter to me! And who said I was hunting over it? Did you listen to what I said in the video? Maryland is a baiting state like many others. So its legal if someone wanted to do it.
Why not? It was the difference in showing micro nutrition between macro nutrition. Also adding extra attraction to the corn for more pics. Added nutrition stays in body for the following years growing season.
I thought it was for antler growth hence the name.. antler growing season made more sense to me. But I've never used a product like that so I wouldnt know.
So to draw deer to my property I need to show I have a 4 wheeler in the back of my truck, an put a camera with 40 led lights 30ft away an use a solar camera that doesn't need batteries, an put horn grow on 150lbs of corn an put another camera on the other side of the property to check out if their shedding then come back in 2 weeks to check an tell about checking for shed horns an it give a high 5 an that'll work? I think I would've brought my shotgun an went an shot some of those geese I heard in the background an made the video another 25mins, that would really tell us how to get deer on our property, I don't know anything more than I did at the start except what I already knew, put some corn out an see if they come, an now I know this was nothing but click bait
Never said I was hunting lol. I said I was using it to see what bucks still was holding there antlers. And if I was hunting most likely it would be on top the ridge. Wind Swirls bad in the bottoms more stable up top.
Great video but you need a little photographic assistance..When your displaying a top of the line trail camera like this one, be so kind to get in there close up and personal like we are looking over your shoulder and describe step by step your procedural set up . It would make it much easier to understand how the system is functioning and it might be a great selling point.. Thank you !!
With all your promotion of antler grow do you offer a promo code for your subscribers? other RUclipsrs that promote stuff as hard as you do with antler grow they have promo codes or discount codes for those companies
Negative. We don’t do codes. I’m not really trying to promote it I’m More trying to educate people on it and why dumping minerals on the ground has no scientific evidence it works. If you don’t want to buy it because they don’t offer a code then I’m sorry.
Where in the hell did Sportsmanship go? I have friends that have been arrested hunting over corn? One in particular had his own Hunting and fishing show in Alabama. I went on a hunt to his hunting club and he wanted e to shoot a turkey on his baited green field while he filmed me. Told him not happening. To say the least we didn’t see eye to eye after that. Lawrence County Game Warden I meet couple of year’s later ask if I knew this individual I said yea I go to church with him. He said well I arrested him for hunting over corn. He was quite pleased he had caught him since he had a TV show on hunting and fishing. And to be honest I was glad for the Warden’s arrest. Guess I’m old school. Kill too many deer without bait. I leave that to fishing.
tanner lyons not sure exactly where you're at but I grew up there in Dayton, Huber heights and Kettering..some great little small pockets to hunt on the edges of rural areas that a lot of small farmers will let you in to take a few deer.
tanner lyons. Ah ok you're on the north end. I know a couple nice spots on the northern part of huber, its a rock quarry property that has been deserted for a good while with a couple creeks running thru it. Right close to I75 and State Rt 202. That intro scared the piss out of me had the sound turned way up
Lol sorry about that
In areas in Wisconsin where baiting is allowed the limit is 2 gallons of corn. That amount of corn is a good way to spread CWD.
Don't forget to tell the deer not to groom one another or use licking branches.
Carroll County and eastern shore hunter here. Montgomery has some absolute bruisers! Goodluck this season everyone. Stay ethical. ...stay safe.
Yes it does for sure. I don’t hunt there anymore but it was nice.
Eastern shore is probably the best place.

Baiting with corn near a corn field... So intelligent

When should I start putting corn out for deer?
One week before you hunt and then only after each hunt. Why after each hunt because putting out corn is noisy! They will keep coming back to check. I've had good luck with a mineral block / salt lick
Ready for 2017 deer season I'm from Delaware hunt down Del Mar wackerman stack
Why dump corn on the edge of a cut corn field?

Never thought about spraying antler grown on corn. Did it work? You still go with 1oz per gallon?
It does work but turns into a macro nutrition. It’s not the correct method to do it and for what it does. It’s designed for plants so the plant can absorb it through the leaves. But with the ticker in the product it sticks to the corn.

Foxbody 5.0 this was Maryland. Old video lol
Maybe 4 years ago. I actually don’t hunt that property anymore. Brought back memories haha
Hello sir. Do you still currently use the antler grow? If not any new tricks?
Yes I still use it all the time. No real tricks except just to use it lol. Folks that use it love it. Spray on anything green and growing.
Thanks. One more question could you tell me what brand do you use?
Keith Lacy what brand of what?
Antler Grow I've seen different brands online just wondering
