    In areas in Wisconsin where baiting is allowed the limit is 2 gallons of corn. That amount of corn is a good way to spread CWD.

    I prefer putting the feed on the ground also. I agree with Joe Ellis, I always let DNR know where our bait stations are so there won't be any problems. In my case, the landowner won't let us put in any plots so we had to resort to bait stations.

    When should I start putting corn out for deer?

    • @TMoore-h5b
      @TMoore-h5b 6 месяцев назад

      One week before you hunt and then only after each hunt. Why after each hunt because putting out corn is noisy! They will keep coming back to check. I never go to my stand for anything other than to hunt except for that first time putting out corn and setting up ground blind because of scent and noise pollution. Knowledge of your hunting area will eliminate using bait.

    Putting out large amounts of shelled corn can give a deer acidosis and kill them. www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,4570,7-153-10370_12150_12220-26508--,00.html I think it's a better idea to simply plant some food plots.

    I dont rake any leaves,, i just throw it in about a 40 yards square, useually 100 pounds at a time,, the deer work the area good and keeps there heads down while they are in my corn pile rooting it out of the leaves,, they would have it all eaten up to fast if i racked it plus i like it that they have to work for it a little bit. They are busy with there face going thru the leaves when my bullets hit em in the shoulder. Just how i do it,, may be better ways and if so id be glad to hear others advise on it,, would be appreciated..

    Never thought about spraying antler grown on corn. Did it work? You still go with 1oz per gallon?

    • @Whitetailobsessionoutdoors
      @Whitetailobsessionoutdoors  4 года назад

      It does work but turns into a macro nutrition. It’s not the correct method to do it and for what it does. It’s designed for plants so the plant can absorb it through the leaves. But with the ticker in the product it sticks to the corn.

    You know that feeding large amounts of corn to deer, especially late in the season leads to acidosis? Do what you wish, but this isn't something that should be encouraged. Rabbit, goat, or horse feed is a better option if you going to dump large quantities.

    So to draw deer to my property I need to show I have a 4 wheeler in the back of my truck, an put a camera with 40 led lights 30ft away an use a solar camera that doesn't need batteries, an put horn grow on 150lbs of corn an put another camera on the other side of the property to check out if their shedding then come back in 2 weeks to check an tell about checking for shed horns an it give a high 5 an that'll work? I think I would've brought my shotgun an went an shot some of those geese I heard in the background an made the video another 25mins, that would really tell us how to get deer on our property, I don't know anything more than I did at the start except what I already knew, put some corn out an see if they come, an now I know this was nothing but click bait

    Where in the hell did Sportsmanship go? I have friends that have been arrested hunting over corn? One in particular had his own Hunting and fishing show in Alabama. I went on a hunt to his hunting club and he wanted e to shoot a turkey on his baited green field while he filmed me. Told him not happening. To say the least we didn’t see eye to eye after that. Lawrence County Game Warden I meet couple of year’s later ask if I knew this individual I said yea I go to church with him. He said well I arrested him for hunting over corn. He was quite pleased he had caught him since he had a TV show on hunting and fishing. And to be honest I was glad for the Warden’s arrest. Guess I’m old school. Kill too many deer without bait. I leave that to fishing.
