Very funny list, as I ve recently decided to convert store credits into a Razor EX. Now I add an advantage, for 600i owners :) The Razor will 100% fit in 600i Explorer cargo/garage after rework. The 600i itself is another great option for PVE, similar role to the Corsair or Connie, with an additional size 3 shield. 600i + Razor EX == killer combo with bonus points for style :)
Hawk just runs out of fuel extremely quickly and the weapons being attached to the fragile wings leads to issues. Love the ship and will love it more when the emp works
The Hawk is definitely an underrated, overlooked ship, great call! Not only is it quick and well armed, but has tons of personality too and that's what really draws me to a ship, character!!
Not too expensive to be out of reach with some reasonable effort and time in game. Great for some new players to try out new loops and really opens the 'verse up a bit after purchasing in-game.
Funny you mention the Razor, since I have been testing that ship vs the M50 as my "very small fighter" of choice. Love the recent increase of video uploads, keep up the great content!
I will have to take a look at the razor and hawk. I am all about the fury but a stealth ship might have more possibilities for my needs. Will have to see how size comes into play.
Snub: m50- it can chase, turn and has 2x size1 shields Light: arrow- small, agile, threatening dps. Change this to eclipse if you want to slap ERTs. Bonus points if you learn to dumb fire the torps. Medium: hornet mkii - too pretty, not because it's new, i always loved the military hornet and it's design over the mk1. Heavy- vanguard warden, big size 5 on the nose, room for a friend, LONG range and interior as a bonus. Large- corsair, no argument here for pve.
1: Razor is not a snub ship. The fact that it has a Jump drive proves this. It's in the light fighter class. Best snub ship is the Fury. 2: Hawk over the Gladius or Arrow is... a choice I guess. If you wanted to go off meta I'd have gone with the Shrike or Tana personally. 3: F7Cmk2 hard to argue with currently. So full agreement on this one. 4: This is really all personal taste. F8, Ares (both), and Vanguard (Warden/Harbinger/Sentinel) are all highly capable ships. 5: Corsair is king right now, agreed. Honorable mention for Andromeda and if you have gunners, the Redeemer.

I like your views, I just don't agree with the buccaneer. From my experience, when I used the buccaneer it was the literal definition of a glass cannon. One or 2 hits and I was already missing weapons or components. But that's just my experience I'm sure other people have a better time in it.
What happens if we dont have any of those platforms? haha My solo picks: 1. Ion/ inferno 2. Vanguard Warden (still mad about modular vanguards being removed) 3. F8C lighting 4. Hornet (both mark 1 and 2 are good) 5. Sabre (it falls off at the highest level dropping the level) Multiple Crew: Redeemer all day!!!! this is my daily because even with one friend you have so much fun. four people crew are needed for PvP and two are needed for higher bounties since the pilots lack size 5 guns. Only downside is 25 flares which run out quick but you are a "small" target Have a good day
I recommend for the top 5 salvage ships you shorten the list....maybe top 2.... or depending on your viewpoint the Eclipse and Tali are also salvage ships.
I think the corsair is definitely top 5 ships in game meta wise, which will hopefully get readjusted with master modes and engineering as I think its just a hairs width too good.
Maybe… I have the F8C and melted my Inferno in favor of a Vanguard Warden. The F8C bridges the heavy/medium fighter gap for me. And the Warden is far less of a one trick pony than the Ares fighters. With Pyro coming I figured I needed a heavy fighter with an interior. Plus you can change the weapons to almost anything you like, or what will be preferable regarding patch changes. I do miss my Inferno sometimes, but I just slap an AD5B and ballistic cannons on the Warden and say brrrrrrrr to my targets. Seems like we have good choices regarding heavy fighters. o7
For pve i would go with ion/inferno. Corsair is definitely growing on me, but i think it has too many turrets for solo player, so i am sticking to taurus. F8C is something that i want but i am waiting to get one in game, too expensive irl.
Taurus/Andromeda is my new-found daily medium/largish ship! I did some melting for the F8C and while it is a great ship, I still find myself in the Connie or Inferno to take out some of the harder PvE missions. That being said, F8C is just FUN with full ballistic cannons!
top 5 isnt a bad series. a lot of ground there for content but how about doing a purpose built fleet series. think "for exploration my org and I will need these ships." or, "to control a point in space these ships will do the job."
I put the 2x S2 turret on my mk2. Badgers up top and a Panther on the nose. But then the capacitors weren't doing so great so I traded the Rhinos for the AD4Bs. Sure, I have to reload now, but it's _fun._ I really agree with your take that the pilot matters more than the ship. Fly what you love and you'll get better. I've been flying my Heartseeker for years because I love the ship, it's rarely been the meta fighter. Same with my 325a. And my 400i. I soloed an unexpected PVE encounter last night with 2 each of a Cutty Black, Valkyrie, Starfarer, and Reclaimer. I had been thinking of changing to AD4Bs on my 400i too, but after that fight, I was glad I didn't. I don't see how I could have won. I would have run out of ammo and had to flee.

I did the same thing and bought the razor ex with store credits and it’s my favorite ship so far
A Razor EX is a great addition to a Carrack, (fits in rover bay) Starfarer and fits where a P52/72 usually fits.
The hawk is super underrated! I recently recommended it to a friend and he is in love with it. Great list and love the content!

I haven't tried the hawk yet, but my go to light fighter is the arrow, it's fast and maneuverable with alot of firepower

The Corsair is literally so OP at the moment. Would definitely recommend that to anyone if they had 3 million auec. Thanks for the vid!

I own the f8 but I’m looking forward to the master modes integration with the gimbals system. I bet it’ll dish out just as much if not more than a F7A

in my opinion: fury > any kruger ship
Fury is tougher and has more guns and people seem to prefer that To the better speed and maneuverability of the P72
