This EFI has me so excited! It was a super quick install and absolutely effortless to get working! Id highly consider picking one up for yourself if you've been thinking of upgrading from a carb!

I cried when you tossed the quadrajet.
It took him over 2 1/2 hours , when he could have put a better carb on it and still pulled as much power as using efi , the old acronym "K.I.S.S Keep it simple stupid , has been tossed aside for complexity. It's also been my experience that electronics can and will fail . I can work on either but I like old school and I like the old school way of tuning an engine

When you got to the point of finding the tach plug on an HEI, it made me wonder how Jegs feels about HEI with their EFI, since Holley, and I believe Ace, say don’t use theirs with HEI.

I put one on my buddy 5.0 mustang. He was having issues getting his carb tuned. It was a night and day difference. I would never run a carb after seeing his.
Now this has some good sounding power
operating temperature range of fuel pumps is -20*C at the lowest, it's -30*C today so the pumps locking up. I had frost accumulating on the fuel rail in my car plowing snow today "bosh 044 type performance pump good for 130hp @ -30*C, full 500hp at start up down to 130hp as water crystalizes in the fuel system filter etc."

Next time just run a LS Corvette filter/regulator and cut it into the hardline to the engine. Then just add a return line up to the return fitting on the pump module. 62 psi easy/peezy to the throttle body for $50.
Gotta have a pump that’ll provide that much pressure
I think the O2 sensor is a little too far from the header connection.

See if you can find a late model (01-04) s10 blazer 4dr at the junkyard and get 3:42 limited slip rear axle with sway bar and disk brakes other than changing the master cylinder to a 4disk one (also found on same vehicle) and figuring out the e brake cable its a bolt in

Was Farmy originally carb'd? I know my '89 2.5L was fuel injected and has 3 lines coming out the front crossmember. Just curious.
People wire up and install their EFI kits like this, then couple months pass and they run to jeggs website and leave 1 star reviews when they are having issues 🤦♂️

Yeah bro that's sounding good, but you gotta put the main hot and ground directly to the battery, I know the hot on the fire wall is coming from the batt, but they said don't use that go straight to the battery. And set your fuel regulator to 58 psi

The Holly system needs tech signal to send spark and allow fuel.

It is so nice that there is an efi for idiots, carburetors are very simple to adjust.

Is that an old torker intake manifold? ..if so that is one of the best intakes for a SBC the only other one that is better is the old scorpion intake manifold...the scorpion is one of the first air gap intake manifold made,...IV ran just about all the intakes and at the track the torker and scorpion ran faster than all the popular ones
Computerized a non computer engine. Now it has plenty of electronics and sensors to go bad.

Did you change the cam setting later. 1 is Mild and 4 is Wild. Looks like you chose 1, though with 11-12" vacuum it is not more of a 3? Idle sounded pretty rowdy for a level 1 cam.
Oxygen sensor to far back needs to go lot closer up front

yeah that factory sending unit that goes in your tank has a ~44psi regulator on it unless you eliminated it somehow, most likely the only reason you have 60 now is that you overpowered the stock regulator. or if you did bypass it then nvm lol
What part number was the fuel pump u ended up getting?
Is the distributor loose because you were adjusting it? I feel like any other questions I have regarding the distributor are stupid

Well holy heck that was quick and easy. Def buy your fuel pumps online ahead of time and save a bundle, hahaha. BTW bro you must be running rich or have a bad head gasket. So much smoke out the exhaust. :P This was really fun!

Do you need the tps..? What psi does the bandit reguire? ((Nm...60psi.) Probably more then a Manuel pump can do I'm sure. Currently have a 400x th40 n my square and been dieing to see/do this since I saw the bandit

The power and ground should go straight to the battery you're asking for problems
Not hard to move 2 wires if it does create problems. I’m curious to see
What problems do you think it will cause? Power just needs to be consistently able to handle the amperage needed. Ground can be anywhere on the chassis or even engine as long as it's all grounded properly. Since it's a self contained system essentially you don't need to worry about sensor voltage reference or ground loops.
Voltage spikes and phantom voltage. That's what the battery is for to smooth out all of the noise from the alternator and other components
@@austindoud273 That's not how the electrical system works. Proper grounding and cable sizing and there's no issue. Most sensors get ground reference from the head or intake manifold, not straight from the battery. They get power from a relay which gets power straight from the alternator as well as battery. No OEM car in the world has everything run directly to the battery, especially not the grounding. The battery will also still show whatever voltage the alternator is putting out and it can only "smooth" voltage when there is a massive spike in Amperage draw.

His vehicle was originally equipped with throttle body injection, he swapped in a SBC with a rochester qjet. His motor ain't the original motor to the truck. This product is built for converting carbureted motors to EFI.

In theory if you use a 1:1 regulator it could maybe last as long as you’re within the injectors range.
Anyone kinda cringe watching him Rev it through its idle learn I know your excitement is hard to control we've all been there lol but self learning systems need to discover their own baseline from my experience anyway the only time I've had trouble with any of these systems is rushing it or making power mods too fast again not letting it learn and catch up but curious to see where build goes
Don’t worry too much, I’ve done a hard reset off camera after I cracked open the instructions for the first time and have done the full idle setup this thing wanted, didn’t realize it had one cause I wanted to see how easily I could do the install without the instructions haha
@Ak_Strem yeah I get it we've all done it for it it was one of those lol cringe situations from a professional standpoint but these systems are great for the average person who doesn't care for every single hp and prefers a decent hp with drivability you shouldn't be disappointed

@Ak_Strem it'll be night and day for drifting. And I'm a huge fan of the TPI system probably just a nostalgia thing but every old school small block I build I use them
@@shawnmarks1400 TPI is my favourite factory setup. Polished up looks incredible, have one in my 2wd jimmy. The Accel super ram I have would be beautiful on the 400

Get a real fuel gauge are air gauge is not going to be like a real fuel gauge. It's only one thing that bothered me. And I'm not trying to be funny. Is you throwing your stuff around slammed brand new stuff around it like it's nothing. And if you had a problem and Jake sees your video they won't warranty because you slammed it on the hood. I'm just saying

For now I’ll be running a 1991 Borg Warner WCT5. It’s not optimal but I got it for cheap.
Money is my biggest problem when it comes to builds so I take what I can get
I’ll be using the original t5 out of my 86 s10 also
