Excellent video. It explains many concepts which are not otherwise available in other such videos. This one shall be my go-to video for choosing a golf glasses. You may also make a video on how to choose most appropriate glasses from various websites such as Oakley. The websites do not contain exact information. They provide details of models and at times do not even mention it’s for which sport
Non-polarised is almost always best for golf. The reason is because polarisation reduces contrast and inhibits perception of moisture which is important to golfers
Very informative , I am looking to purchase a pair of glasses for golf, single vision. Could you give me an indication of cost please. I notice you are based in Preston and happy to visit your shop to discuss further
Oakley also have a rose tinted lens which is also very good for driving. But I need to get a new pair and will consider these. Very few sunglasses are good for cloudy weather so I can highly recommend these types of lenses.
I actually filmed a section for this video about the Oakley prism lens, but it was ultimately edited out. I'll probably do a comparison video sometime. In essence, the Prism Golf lens is a lot darker and therefore good for golfing sunglasses. But our lens can literally be worn in all conditions for golf. The downside is that it doesn't perform well as a general purpose sunglass lens, whereas the Prism does.
So rose tint, 40%, red mirror finish. How much further do you drop the Seg height and type of Varifocal do you recommend? Zeiss and Essilor account holder here. I am enjoying your channel! Thanks
We ship them all over the world! Email me - rob@thespectaclefactory.com Just to advise, they are expensive and they do take a while to produce. But all of our clients who wear them, love them.
It would be fun as part of your sports series to see a video on prescription swimming or ski goggles. I have always wondered about those. My guess is that they would be for really strong prescriptions wearers.
Hi, you can order them with us - Email us at hello@thespectaclefactory.com and we'd love to help you get the best pair for you😊 We look forward to hearing from you. -Haleemah
Yes they can be used for cycling, it's just they sometimes might not be dark enough when cycling into the sun. Obviously there isn't the same safety aspect when on a golf course (you would hope!)
A grey photochromic polarised lens would be ideal for this purpose, with a mirror coating if you live in a particularly bright part of the world. Perhaps I'll film a video about this in the future!
Hi, we offer them here at The Spectacle Factory, along with free worldwide shipping. Email us at hello@thespectaclefactory.com and one of our team will help you get your perfect pair😊

Rose, 40% tint, red mirror finish - You did not mention if you recommend polarized or non polarized - can you please advise?
Non-polarised is almost always best for golf. The reason is because polarisation reduces contrast and inhibits perception of moisture which is important to golfers
This is the begining of a new sports series 😊
Great idea Mel :)

Hi Robert, how would you say these compare to Zeiss' own "ProGolf" lens, which is more of an orange-yellow-brown color?
I personally think this tint is superior to that one.

Hi James, it varies depending on the client, specifically their height. You also want the longest corridor possible.
Where can i go to get a prescription pair ot these they look cool

What are the prescription frames you’re wearing in this review - thanks
Loving the idea of a sports series too! 🎾
I guess I'll have to oblige!

Good idea! I'm familiar with both so could discuss this topic in a future video

Do you have any discounts for first responders?
Hi Robert, Do you use an insert for the prescription with this frame? Or can zeiss do a wrapped tinted lenses for these frame?
Would you recommend these lenses for cycling too? Or are the Julbo Aero Sports glasses still the better option?
Yes they can be used for cycling, it's just they sometimes might not be dark enough when cycling into the sun. Obviously there isn't the same safety aspect when on a golf course (you would hope!)
What lenses would you say are best for running (specifically road running)?
A grey photochromic polarised lens would be ideal for this purpose, with a mirror coating if you live in a particularly bright part of the world. Perhaps I'll film a video about this in the future!
Do you think these Golf glasses can be used for daytime driving too? Looks like they can be very versatile in their functionality?
Yes, and I advise most of my clients who have them about their versatility!
Not really a Nike fan, Team adidas lol. Any other frames that resemble that might work?
I haven't come across anything better... yet
Where can I find the frame you are wearing for your optical glasses in the video

What is the light transmission of the rose tint w/mirror? Are they polarized as well?
I modify it depending on the user's needs between 50 and 70% transmission. And not polarised, since I don't recommend polarised lenses for golf
