It's confidence, and understanding that there isn't just one shape that suits each face. There's a whole philosophical topic there about how when we look in the mirror, we don't see our true selves. There's no reason why most people wouldn't suit most glasses. They just think they don't.
@@thespectaclefactorythere’s definitely some truth to this every time I wear glasses i bring a certain confidence and people pick up on it and I get compliments while yes certain glasses suit certain face shapes. You would be doing yourself a disservice by not trying all shapes and styles of glasses
This is the guide that everyone yearns for. It’s so stressful choosing frames nowadays since there’s an overflow. I guess this video will help many. We shall be more than thankful if you do consider in future making two or three separate videos concerning frames for different genders. Cheers Robert! You look great in yr new chunky Robert’s!
Frames are just like faces; all unique if you take into consideration all the aspects. To know whether a frame will fit and look good we have to try it. Plus, we all expect different look so it makes matters worse))) If you're looking for ideas on videos, I'd really like to watch some collection of green frames for men. Love this colour. Amazing option for casual wear, don't you think?
Yeah, green is genuinely one of my favourite colours to recommend, especially to men. I would say that you don't have to try frames first -- I have hundreds of International clients who trust me to select their eyewear.
Nice video. If I might just add, I agree that the rectangle frame is a “classic/safe” look but if you did want to jazz it up a bit you could experiment with colours. The Hania L. by ic Berlin in Harbour Ash colour is a good example I think - I’ve personally tried it on.
good video but I have a round wide face so for me, it's not really about personality but more about what frames would fit my application. Based on experience, the small round frames don't look good with my round face. They're either too narrow(left to right) or too small altogether due to my large/wide head.
Robert, do you think that a small rectangle frame with dark blue on the top front and tortoise on the bottom front, and made by Masunaga with their amazing fit and finish, would still be considered boring?
I explain all about them in this video: ruclips.net/video/iOE-hykwB_k/видео.html If you're interested in a pair, email me via rob@thespectaclefactory.com
Noticeably absent are wraparound glasses. Anyways, the shape and style of glasses you should get have more to do with what you prefer than other factors, after all, you're the one who's gonna be wearing the glasses!
I'm just wandering why Lindberg is never mentioned in your videos? I have 2 of them and love their designs, they are lightweight and its very comfortable to wear. They are my favorite.☺☺
Sorry but I don't believe there is just one shape for anyone. I think it's all about personality. For example, you'll see me on these videos wearing pretty much every shape imaginable, and I think they all 'suit' me, they just give me different looks.
Hi Robert, I am new to the Sunglasses game. I am seeking a consultant to help me select the right shades. Is there a way I can hire you, or someone you recommend for a simple consult? I have no prescription, just want to select a few pairs of frames that will suite me well for various occasions.
Imo The rectangular frame gives a youthful vibe, whereas the square frame is more adult-like. Could you please make a rectangular frame guide the same way you make the square frame guide. Btw what's your prescription.
I hate picking out glasses. I've been wearing contacts for about 20 years and have only had 2 pairs of frames in that time. So since I never wear glasses I feel like they all look bad on me because I'm not used to seeing myself in them.
I think picking the right pair of glasses is partly about the right advice, but also partly about confidence. If you want some help selecting your next pair we offer online vision consultation - email us at hello@thespectaclefactory if you're interested!
Round looks better on him because he has a square or rectangular shaped head. If you have a round to heart- shaped face like I do, then rectangles are your only choice.
F1 tire rubber on my glasses. I laughed. It's like what needlessly rare and expensive material can we put on these frames to justify the astronomical cost for a small piece of flexible plastic and or metal.
Oh c'mon RObert, of all the glasses you would NOT put on that pair of Gucci's...lol...ok we get it, you don't really like chunky & over the top, but c'mon!! lol
why does he look good in every glasses

its because he have a oblong face. which compliment mostly all type of shape of glasses.
That and the rules around face shape are far from rigid.
I love this thumbnail! Makes him look like glasses Jesus!!! Keep it up robert!
😅 'Glasses Jesus' - I'll take that!
Lol glasses Jesus 🤣

Thanks Duncan - that's why I created this channel, to help people.

Goodness me, Robert! You're the best style and vision consultant that I know! Keep it up! 🙌😎
Wow, thanks!
In my opinion the last glasses that you've tried, you said party glasses, looks the BEST ON YOU 🙂

Always welcome
you did a great job with this, thank you
Appreciate it
Beautiful presentation Robert, so many elements in choosing a frame, gotta love it 😎
Thanks, James! Yeah, there's lots to consider and many ways to personalise your eyewear

What glasses are you wearing at the very start when the video starts? Thanks!
I qould also like to know this please
Thank you
Very enjoyable and interesting video 😄
Great depth and lots to think about 👍
Thanks Robert - do you have any video suggestions of things you'd like to see?

I would really appreciate if you can do a review of Tavat glasses. Thanks 😊
I love Tavat! Hopefully in the future
Are there any particular shape which favour varifocals?
Round is ideal
@@thespectaclefactory thank you.
I’d say for me having a oval face shape, avaiator, square & rectangle. look great on me
If you have a oval face you can wear every shape I also have oval
Robert, we wonder if you are, along with an optics expert, a model?
How come all manner of frames go well with your features?
Great video!.
👍
that wink 🙂
How does Bi Focal lenses affect which shape to use?
Robert, do you think that a small rectangle frame with dark blue on the top front and tortoise on the bottom front, and made by Masunaga with their amazing fit and finish, would still be considered boring?
No, that sounds pretty cool
Hi! Which are the glasses that you are wearing at the beginning of the video? 🤓 thanks!

Hey can you tell me which frame shape is perfect for my face ?? I think it combination of heart and oval shape

@@thespectaclefactory right bro
👍
Are there any clear rimless frames?
If there is, I haven't seen it
I work as an EA and with glasses never deviate from rectangular

1) Every component of glasses affects the personality
I fully agree
I don't have anything against tints, but these ones make it seem like you have giant dark circles around your eyes
❤❤❤
sometimes I am rest my eyes Cause my eyes will low level cận thị

OK but there are functional benefits. It's not about justifying anything, it's about improving the design of a product.
My rule
Of thumb. If it doesn’t touch your cheek bones and it’s not tight on the side. You’re chillin
Not a bad rule!
Oh c'mon RObert, of all the glasses you would NOT put on that pair of Gucci's...lol...ok we get it, you don't really like chunky & over the top, but c'mon!! lol
I didn't wear them only because they are ladies' frames
Fyi nothing wrong with rectangular there no such thing as boring like your perfect
None. Glasses ruin the eyes.
Not true
