Love the part when he sat in REO Speedwagons’ tourbus. Yep . . . . This is what I want ! 😂. Plus it’s crazy the amount of samples and storage he needed for Princes music !! Crazy! Just goes to show how technology has improved some .... Morris definitely shows how being in the right place at the right time plus being talented can take you on all sorts of journeys! Good stuff David 😃👍🏻💜🇨🇦

The closest I ever came to meeting Prince was when we were recording an album at Paisley and I walked into the men’s room only to find him standing at one of the two urinals (yes, it was the shorter one). If there was an unwritten rule about what to do when you encountered Prince in the bathroom of PP, like turn around and leave till he was finished, I didn’t know about it. So I just silently stepped up to the urinal next to him, like regular folks do, didn’t look at or talk to him, just did my business. The next thing I know I hear Prince’s annoyed exhaling through his nose and notice him shifting uncomfortably while standing there next me, a stranger. He finished up and tore out of there to get back to his band rehearsing on the soundstage and I went back to our recording session and bragged to the other band members about standing right next to Prince, not a bodyguard in sight.
I know Prince stopped in the control room while we were recording so he probably knew who I was or at least why I was at Paisley. And I know he saw me later playing at the FineLine in a project called The Groove Dogs with Stokley, Michael Bland and Margaret Cox (which led to her MCflash thing with Prince). I had no delusions about ever getting the call to play keyboards for any of his projects. So glad Morris became part of the Prince legacy!

Even with “regular” people I would pee in the toilet vs. going to the urinal next to someone. 😅
