I’m trying to build a Z71 Sport but no long bed. Only the chrome sport in long bed. Did something change.
@@GAlan-nn6mu Try different colors. Seems that when I was looking you could only get the sport package in a few colors…
@@flyfishingtim That’s true but a LWB is Midnight Package only now. The SWB is Midnight, red, white, and slate gray.
The sport package is not available anymore as an option doing the online build. Wonder what happened? This is how I would order my 3500.
I was initially gonna get that exact same spec truck, but then I saw that you could spec the new zr2 HD,and men, I totally fell in love with it, so if the dealer that I bought my 1500 from can get an allocation, I’m gonna pull the trigger on one of those

That is a beautiful truck. There have been several of those land at my local dealers over the past month or two. They don’t stay around long either. White is the most popular color too but it’s available in red and the new grey color too.
That truck is basically loaded. Missing a sunroof and 20s and cab lights of course. They definitely should come standard. But either way my point is you could be in that truck for $73,000ish if it were a gas truck and again, essentially loaded.
Thats my exact truck, took delivery last month. I ordered it last May.
I love white on black trucks. My '23 Sierra Elevation has the same look...just looks clean.

You dont have to have clearance lights. Just more holes for water to get in.
I have seen very few z71 sport packages. I’d like to order one In Sterling Gray with the 6.6 gas motor..Any idea what the payload would be with gas motor longbed configuration? I’m thinking the Ford F350 XLT Godzilla 7.3 gas will have more payload and I like you can get 4.30 gears on the gas Ford.
Hey there I love your channel and your truck reviews in general, but this one is the one that helped me decide on the truck I want. It's freaking beautiful. But I do have one concern that I wondered if you could share you opinion on...
I am buying a truck to pull a 5th wheel RV that has a GVWR of 15,000 lbs. So you would think that my primary concern when it comes to the truck I chose is its towing capacity and payload. Needless to say the 3500 towing and Payload numbers tell me that it's going to pull my RV with the Diesel no problem. But I'm also concerned about the looks of my truck and well, I LOVE the 3500 HD with the Z71 Sport edition in white!!! But in your opinion, since the primary purpose for this trunk is towing my RV and will only rarely go off road am I sacrificing towing comfort and control due to the softer Z71 Shocks and the All terrain Tires?
Any advise and or comments you can share would be much appreciated

Hey JB I like your videos. I just subscribed. Have been watching them for a few weeks. You might have addressed it before and I didnt see. Do you think the gear shifter gets in the way of operating the screen on these GM model trucks when its in drive? I hear thats why they moved the half ton shifter to center shifter? In pics and videos it looks like it would
It blocks the volume knob and home button in Drive but its easy to find with your hands, it doesn't block the actual screen
On any truck, any package named Sport Package makes the truck look so much better.
Jb do these have a 12v cigarette lighter sytle outlet, or did they take them away like the gmc?
So Kind of like an RST 1500 except it comes standard with black badges, I was wondering why they didn't make an RST version of the HD.
Man a 6.6 gas with the 10spd has a max tow in the 18K range. With payload just as good or better. I'd save the money and get the gas if I'm not towing all the time.
So Max trailer package is an option for a GAS burner? I want the gas burner with a larger towing package and rear-end gear!

I wonder if you could find something out for me. I can’t seem to find it anywhere. I just got a similar truck like this, but the LT version with the Z71 sport edition, and it comes with the new headlights. But they don’t animate is that something the LT doesn’t do and others do. Or do you think I got a problem here ?

No. I’m thinking the lower packages don’t get the animated lights. It’s just a software thing but I’m not going to mess around with that. Can you image. I’m having a few electronics ghosts as it is 😮😳

I just took delivery of this exact build with cab lights and I can honestly say it’s one of the nicest trucks I’ve ever seen

I got it like that From dealer didn’t build it myself.
If I could put the clearance lights on my 1500 I would.

I hear this all over the place, one of the main things keeping me from being all in on the new Chevys.
This is as subjective as what each person prefers the front end look of. Firm seats are something many like just like a firm bed etc. They aren’t worn out after 70k miles either cough cough like a Ford

I'm told they take a few thousand miles to break in. The think I like about the GM trucks is the front seat leg room, like 5 more inches then the Ram with the seats all the way back.
My 2021 gmc 1/2 ton slt had great seats.. 2022 hd..HD...chevy 2500. Not so much.
