1978 RM100 has not sold yet so testing it and and still ordering parts. May just have to freshen this bike right up before it will sell. Never the less here is the first short ride.
I had a '75 RM100 back when I was 14 and 15 years old. Not the most amount of power but the motor was pretty much bulletproof. Never even had to replace piston rings. My next bike was a '79 RM125 which was in for maintenance a lot. Just seemed like my old '75 really handled the high RPMs and overall stresses VERY well. Thanks for making this video and the sound of your bike is music to my ears!
Hey, love all your restorations. Just wondering what kind of paint you use on frames. I got my xr250 project running and the frame is pretty bad. Thanks
Bike was pretty much compete but i get all my parts from ebay. yes many parts are interchangable. use www.babbittsonline.com/ to check between years for part numbers. if you put a part number in ebay search it usually comes up with different models of bikes that part was on. i know the tank was 1978 only.
Yes, that would be super if they finished it! I had one my Dad bought me brand new back in 77, and I rode that bike every single day! I'd love to have another one just to have. I'm an old fart now, and cant do those kind of things anymore. But, I'd still ride it around just a little bit.

i wish i could find a deal like that.everyone on craigslist wants over 2 grand for a beat up dirtbike
Love that sound!
2 strokes are unique. :)
I’m having carburetor and clutch issues with my rm100, I have the same carb as you do
If everything is stock. Put new jets in. If that does not fix it you could have air leaks. What type of clutch issues?
@@TNTMOTO I think the bike could run fine even with the inconsistent carb. It probably needs a clutch rebuild.
Awwhhh the kids in the background!!! That’s exactly how I was when I was little!! Loved dirt bike
that thing is badass man.i love the look and sound of classic bikes.
Cool! I used to have a new one in '77..it was very cool and fast. I think i sold it for $300 in '79
Aloha, nice and it brings back memories.
Are the clutch springs level with the back of the basket
Started first kick, god damn.

Bikes that i restore i get powder coated. Bikes that i refresh i use a spray can engine enamel or a 2 part spray can with hardener.
When's the next video coming? Hope it's a cr500 video :)
nitro Sorry for the delay. Weather has gotten better. I am currently working on the Cr500 and I have bought 2 more bikes. New video soon
Some future motorcyclists in the background there
Yes lots of kids in this complex.
Take it to tamihi creek
You should restore it
Match the ports, polish exhaust and add boysen reeds and the thing will fly.
Sold
Hello, I have same exact bike where exactly do you add the boy seen reeds on bike?
Nice video, the bike sounds and looks good for his age!
Thanks. Motor runs like new. just waiting for the air filter to dial in the carb.
Let's not put the camera where we can see the whole ride .
Sorry, I am not even allowed to be riding it in the complex so this was a quick ride and hide before the Strata police came.
Needs a quieter pipe in that development. 😁
Could use a repack for sure
wear did you find parts for it and are some universal i’m trying to restore the same bike
