      Well yes but it depends in my state if you are or have been pregnant you are medically emancipated and parents have no say and do not have to be in the delivery room. So technically in my state at least they can deny even the mother of a teen giving birth in the room during COVID and no one could do anything since the minor is in all control of all medical decisions for themselves and their child. Other states one parent has to be in the room during labor and delivery and sometimes recovery legally and teen parents can’t make their own medical decisions or parents need to give permission for an epidural they’d have to be there.

    I get not allowing visitors at routine prenatal appointments. It's really not necessary to have a crowd for every 10 min appointment. And, that's coming from someone who's had an extremely high risk twin pregnancy during the pandemic.
    However, visitors should absolutely be allowed during labor and delivery - so many things can go wrong in the blink of an eye and the birthing person may not be in a position to advocate for themselves or their baby. Yes, limit visitors. No one needs 15 people in there. Or, a parade to meet baby in the first 24hrs (even without covid, thats a lot of germs to expose a brand new baby to). But, 2-3 people is totally reasonable. And, if a c-section is medically necessary for mom's wellbeing - do the c-section. It doesn't even make sense to deny it, as whether it's a c-section or vaginal, mom would still be taking a hospital room, still seeing a lot of doctors and nurses, still be using resources... that doesn't make sense.

    Im 31 and 6 months pregnant and i couldn't imagine having a possibility of having a baby alone.

    • @saje239
      @saje239 2 года назад +1

      If you do a c section without ever trying a vaginal delivery, it's almost always going to be considered elective. Many people fall into the category of higher risk vaginal deliveries, but that doesn't automatically make the c section medically necessary. A major surgical procedure is going to be a big risk for the mother and infant in addition to increasing many postpartum and neonatal risks so it's rarely the better option. When we look at countries with the best maternal and infant outcomes, their c section rates are much lower than the US where we routinely do them, essentially on demand.
      Scheduled c sections that are considered medically necessary are typically for women who have had 2 or more c sections or history of improperly healed trauma to the area. There's always exceptions of course and this girl might be one of them. I just wanted to point out that it's a lot more complicated than it may seem on the face of it. Having increased risks for a complicated vaginal delivery doesn't necessarily mean it increases it enough to be more risky than cutting through the abdominal wall, shuffling around organs, pulling out and then cutting open the uterus, etc. Plus the baby misses out on a natural vaginal birth which much better prepares their body to enter the world. So yea... it's just really complicated.

    • @ceannamccarty2116
      @ceannamccarty2116 2 года назад +1

      It can be very complicated, especially with covid. Although I don't agree with all the practices, I do believe that in the hospital all antiviral practices must be taken. Preexisting conditions should be taken into consideration, but unfortunately the nurses and doctors don't control that, normally someone much higher up that only looks at numbers is making the decision

    I had twins in 2020 at the height of the coronavirus to the point to wear two days after I had the twins when they released my surviving baby from the hospital they told me they were glad to release him to me because they were shutting down the hospital, and not letting anyone visit, but my husband at the time sat behind me during my C-section, and was in the room with me the entire time

    The spouse should’ve been able to come in. From 2020-2021 is was understandable that they were trying to keep people safe and have everyone stay healthy, but as long as they were willing to wear their face masks back then, then all three of them should’ve been allowed inside the hospital. The hospital staff, nurses and doctors should’ve gotten sued.

    Literally so irrational and annoying. Sis a month ago you were using the baby as a pawn and saying he couldn’t be in the hospital even before Covid. Now she has something new to victimize herself with and get sympathy.

    This is exactly why and how violence happened back then. I’m surprised that Ethan didn’t beat that nurse and force his way inside. I also think that the police shouldn’t have the authority to arrest people and throw them in jail or prison during those times when violence was necessary and appropriate.

    I think these medical "professionals" are forgetting that these are CHILDREN having a baby. They need parental support, they need patience and need to be informed correctly. I feel for Reanna being scared to do a vaginal delivery, she could die from complications and those doctors don't care. She needs a C-Section regardless of anything going on in the outside world.

    I feel like that doctor worried the mom and the daughter for no reason because she is a minor there's no way she can be on her own.. also changing that law to zero would be unhuman the virus would have to have gotten to an extreme unrealistic level, for That to happen! also the doctor knows that she has a medical problem so why even worry the Pregnant patient that she might not get her c section that doctor is just not right🙄😒

    Feel so sorry for the kids being born to these kids. Nowadays kids need a lot more then they used to.
    Their kids will go without on a lot of things. Sad they are so selfish with their fake positivity. I know as I had
    to raise 3 from a teen with that fake positivity. It's stupid. But then I think they don't want to get a job and
    be a serious part of society, they just want to sit on the sidelines with the 'I'm a mom' excuse.

And i trust the mama heart.All mama are strong inside and out💪💪
