If you want to save precious SP early in the game you can just buy Eggs & Dairy (the cheapest ingredient in the game), cook and sell them for profit. It takes longer than leveling Purity but saves SP.
Thanks for this. I didn't know you had to turn it on. The only things worth taking early in the game, IMO are the Sprite Bracelet in Kurik and the Goodie Box in Marze, where you can randomly get the Sword of Marvels from. You just have to save after you get the box and keep reloading from that last save until you get the Sword.
If you care about the negative effects to your party members' relationship values, you probably want to disband the party by enabling Private Action mode before attempting to pickpocket.
@@Dahpie Wrong, It IS relevant. Crafting books to raise friendship/affinity with another party member can't get you max hearts. You'll need to complete PAs for that. So if you reached max hearts from PAs then dropped it from continuous pickpocketing you wasted your effort. You might not get the best endings since it was squandered from pickpocketing.
@@bumbayker Okay, that's good to know. Wasn't aware of that, especially since the max affinity ending requires affinity with all characters if it's the same as the original.
So far worth-ish while things to pick pocket this early are: Goodie Box from the Old man in Marze, then Save your game and re-load until you get something decent. Same with the Sprite's Bracelet from Philia (Private Action) in Kurik. Just try your luck 3x and re-load until success. I only had 20% chance.
Let it be known if you want the Sprite's Bracelet from Philia, your MC HAS to have started with Nimble Fingers. Without it, the rates for stealing from Philia will be 0 and there's no way to get Nimble Fingers at this point in the game otherwise. Since Philia is only viewable during a PA, the only character you'll have access to is the MC, hence the reason why having Nimble Fingers on any other characters won't work in this particular instance.
After some long research I've found that if your character doesn't start with nimble fingers pickpocket will always be 0% - 1% hope thus comment helps others that can't find the answer
@@dou4ktMake the character that has the Nimble Fingers talent the leader by going to Tactics -> Party Formation (if I recall correctly). That will make them your main character on the world map.
I’m like five hours into the game of still in the beginning of the game I kind of wish I found this video earlier really don’t feel like restarting 😂 but Celine has the skill. Is it ok for me to use her or does my main character have to have it for it to work?
Its easier when its your main character because they can pickpocket in private actions and it doesnt hurt thier reputation as much. but yea celien can do it. she has to be at the front of the party, though, and people will start to dislike her
Im playing Rena story. How can you learn nimble finger ? And is only the main protagonist can steal or I could use Claude to steal ? Cause Claude skill raised and im still stuck at 0/100 chance to steal
No only the Ps1 version allowed for this to not take affect perhaps limited coding or something. Anyway just save scum I guess if you really want something.
@@kelvyndidaskalos547 From what I've seen you do not need to be in a PA, but I prefer to do so; however, there is a small trick to keeping up relations up while still pick pocketing. Having put in a few hundred hours into this remake (have not yet played the updated content), sometimes you will notice that successful pickpockets will show a loss of reputation, sometimes failures will have no loss of reputation that is because in this version there is actually two separate values being calculated for each attempt. So we have 4 outcomes possible from each pickpocket attempt. Fail w/ - Rep, Fail w/ No Rep Change, Success w/ - Rep & Success w/ No Rep Change. You can save scum for the Success w/ No Rep Change and it's quite easy to see when you take a rep hit or not by watching the side of the screen for the reactions between members. This will save you a lot of extra work in the long run even if you do it on half of your pickpocketing for those trickier attempts. Hope this helps you.
@@kelvyndidaskalos547 Not sure why my original comment was deleted, but the long story short is: There are 4 outcomes per pickpocket attempt. A - Fail and Penalty. B - Fail and No Penalty. I prefer to do it in PA's, I've seen less negative responses from the team, personally.
Fish from the mansion in that town the ogre fish sells for 1500 ....took me 30 min to have enough for the gloves....without upgrading the selling skill
Some NPCs are only during certain Private Actions or events, then they're gone forever. One early game NPC has a really good item, and the steal rate is 0 unless you started with Nimble Fingers. ugh now I have to get this thing I would have never known about that item if it wasn't for RUclips. I'm trying to stay away from much min maxing with this game.
There's really no need. It's only necessary for early OP items and the games already not that hard early on. The game has NG+ now if you want to power game next playthrough.
IF you need the MONEY to buy the bandits gloves BEFORE ditching Celine in Cross Cave because she still SUCKS still lv up the Fol giving skill to lv 10 IF IT still gives out 100,000 fol BY doing so.

customize long sword+ruby (600 Fol) and sell it for 1200++ do it on saval since Ruby and long sword seller at the same stall
Add to this, you can easily finish the challenge mission "Cook 100 times" which gives an extra 10000 fol.
You can also just farm the desert for minerals from the slugs.

Even better you can pickpocket your FRIENDS
It won't matter even in PA mode cos it will still affect your relationship score.
It's irrelevant anyway, in the end game you can simply create infinite affinity boosting items so it's not worth worrying over.

if i do this i have to get stuck with celine for the entire game?

would it help the friendship level if pickpocketing is done during Private actions?

I might pass on this. I'm all for breaking a game, but pick pocketing may break it too much
You’ll want to use it because the game does hit a difficulty spike if it’s the same as the OG
question does the MC need to have that skill or as long as 1 character has it its ok?
Typically the MC has it because you want to pickpocket when you're in PA's.
