Hey there - I know you asked a year ago, but I am just finishing up my first HD FPV plane build, and it was about $1,200 from nothing to airborne. $350 DJI Goggles V2 $220 DJI O3 Air Unit $120 Radiomaster Zorro $40 ELRS Module $100 ZOHD Drift PNP (the plane bit) $40 SpeedyBee Flight Controller $100 (2) 2S1P Batteries $60 LiPo/LIon Charger $50 Soldering Kit $50 Wire (12g/14g) In addition to this, it also took maybe 20 to 30 hours of research and learning. Think I'll stick with my Crossfire on 900mghz at 2,000 mws.... The problem with all these units is not the range, but the tiny solder pads, lack of standardization of connectors, assanine binding procedures, and lack electrical insulation around the naked circuit boards. Since ExpressLRS brings nothing new to the table to address those problems, I see no reason to chance just for marginal lower cost.
$50 1w ELRS module $208 2w Crossfire module Pretty sure if my math is correct thats a big margin. ELRS is still new, and open source for the community to work on and improve on. ELRS doesn't make those RX's... the companies who used the free software made them ;)

The only way to test the 100 KM range is to get it an autonomous flight with a Pixhawk flight controller
Why can’t you fly it in real time ?

what was your farthest distance with this system? I dont see any image that suggest 100km...
No, I haven't reach 100Km.

I went 5km and it was fine but lost my video
What types of Video transmitters are people using with ELRS for extremely long range setups? Do you have to stay with a 5.8 ghz video transmitter?
You could use a 1.3ghz system but the aerials are larger.
5.8 is perfectly fine. But you will need a dish to get a 100km video link.
How did you stabilise the video image so calmly during the bumpy ride?
Afterwards with the video editing programme?
I just feel safer using my Crossfire. It's never let me down, and it just works. No insane binding of update procedures. Just easy and bulletproof.
Is the Micro TX Module compatible with the older JR PROPO PCM9X2?
Hey what range do you get whith the external module of beta fpv ?
What is the battery u usually use to power ur devices for long range.pls share the info.
what if it is used for an engined aircraft?

how expense is it to get into this hobby? like fpv planes, transmitter etc
