With aio flight controllers incorporating elrs into them. This is made it easy for me to sell my crossfire setup. Thanks for the once again great review, and I'm looking forward to what elrs has for future updates. Happy memorial day weekend everyone!
BETA FPV has a beginner setup that is really affordable. I mean even as a gift for my son. It is really cool we are seeing prices drop for beginner gear so more people can get into the hobby.
Is betafpv the company you want to trust with your rc connection link. Most betafpv products result in early failures, why would there modules be any different.
Hi Justin Great video and review of the BetaFPV ELRS module. I am still using crossfire but I'm thinking as my receivers go bad I might go with ELRS. But for right now I'm not swamped over. If I was starting out then yes I would purchase it. Thanks again for the video and information
Did they fix the fail safe on the BetaFPV module when you click the button? Also how is the fan noise of the BetaFPV module? Does it vibrate your radio?
Great video, cheers from the UK. I'm returning to FPV after a couple of years away from RC. Tech moves on and I'm liking the look of this ELRS gear. As I'm into fixed wing how do the tiny RXs integrate into a fixed wing with servos for throttle, aileron, elevator and rudder? Is there a resource that explains this? I wish that the tech could be put into traditional style plug and play RXs.
ELRS connects to a flight controller and that sorts out the servos and throttle. There is a CRSF TO PWM converter which will give you 6 channels. "MATEKSYS CRSF-PWM-6 CRSF to PWM Converter 6 PWM" There is also a 10 channel one.
Where you been if I may?! I am in the same situation😊 had a cupl kiddos and covid..... IM BACK! I keep seeing these fpv is dieng vids... hell nah... we coming back😂!
Hi friend! Nice Video, thank you very much! Could you help me with something? I have a R9M-2019 and have flashed ELRS to it... now, I'm about to buy some ELRS receivers... Do I must get R9 receivers or could I get any receiver that runs on ELRS protocol? I'm thinking about buying a happymodel with those ceramic antennas... another question would be: which one is better? 900Mhz or 2.4Ghz? Ok, I really want long range possibilities, but my principal goal is good and solid penetration... What do you think about that? Could you guide me on the right direction? After seen your video I'm already thinking about buying one of those BetaFPV modules too... 🙂
Haha how far are people flying. I can go out 10km with my arwing and my digital video starts getting sketchy.. zero drop on radio. Maybe alittle drop on the bank turn home due to antenna placement
Did it come.pre built? I have an irrational fear of attaching ufl connectors 🥴 . I broke the ufl connection on my happymodel tx16s module so had to strip the wire and solder it on ...works but I wonder if I lost some efficiency.
Crossfire has had your trust, so ELRS will need to earn it with the new Zorro no doubt you are gunna test for us who are just building our skills and fleet.
@@biggfpv2721 is that even possible? i asked in JB's stream and he said only a special ''key''' could unlock it that they have at races. but you say if i download the update with a vpn with my pc, do i then get the US version update? i always wonderd becouse how does this work if i got my ghost from lets say GETFPV, and ship it, wil i get a 350MW version. i got my ghost from a dutch droneshop and its locked at 100 from the start as far as i can remember. once i knew this i felt kind of skrewed with this eu law

There is a TBS Crossfire receiver available that you can directly plug your servo leads into. When will Elrs bring out the same sort of receiver so all of the Hobby can benefit from this great new Tech. ELRS will explode with these receivers available for planes without the need for a Flight controller.
I just posted a video about that today. BetaFPV just released an airplane ELRS Rx. Been using the crsf rx for planes for years. Now ELRS is catching up.
I have the 500mw Elrs ,been happy with it .I've also got Crossfire and Tracer ,don't fly long range, but if I did I would probably go with the Crossfire .The only reason being is the hardware is proven ,I've been happy with Elrs but the only weakness I see is the open source aspect which let's anyone make receivers and modules .Since I don't fly long range it's not as risky ,not hating at all on Elrs. Just a thought though.
Do planes have to nose down as they traverse across the earth? Interesting to consider the altitude change as you fly away from yourself in any direction, using the 8" per mile squared curvature calculation technically long range flying you should never have to pull up for more altitude as the quad would be technically gaining altitude as to you, feel like you are needing to give it even more anyway? The most interesting thing is looking at water, anywhere across the ocean, lake or the local pond, it always finds it's own level. I guess folk's are inevitably waking up wether they wanted to or not. We can see way way too far, curvature calculation never works 💯. Indoctrination and cognitive dissonance is all that's holding you back from learning the truth and testing your own reality🤔🌌🚀🤦🤯
Imagine looking at a globe or the earth from far away and imagine the axis line running down the center from pole to pole . And a guy on the north pole goes to the equator 6 thousand miles . He is 4 thousand miles away from the axis line . Or every mile higher above the axis line away from the center of the earth is 1½ miles along the curved surfac pole to pole trip . So go 1½ miles in a straight line and you get one mile up . So climb as you fly out at a climb rate of ⅔ of you forward velocity . I guess .🙄

I agree. Things are changing for the better. And 1W is a ton of power for the money!
@@dronecamps I think you would run out of battery power before you run out of range! hahaha

Same here I'd hate to swap out six receivers I already have installed, and I would need a second controller to run both types of receivers
What about video tranceiver though?
Do you know where tbs crossfire could be purchased
Now thats the $1,000,000 question!
Brilliant ELRS Will really take off

With a powerful transmitter what receiver should I use ? is there a specific brand or model you recommend ?
is Betafpv 1W ELRS Module compatible with Radiomaster TX12 Mark II external bay?

For a 1w version of 915 you can just flash a r9 module
thanks for sharing sir.
Please do range test with 1watt module

Try a ELRS Rx. 900 is my choice Natan.

Probably gained efficiency.
Not sure why you would need 1W for the 900mhz.
Flying in a noisy RF environment . I have gotten warnings 8miles out on 1watt on different rigs and modules. Some areas need it.

For sure. I am pushing it on various type of aircraft to see how it handles low flying, penetration, some range and link quality
are these things limited in EU?
