If we assume that you can buy the electronics it's easy to just stuff the flight controller inside one of the Flite test dollar tree foam board designs that you can make by printing out the templates, cutting out the foam, and hot gluing it together

I don't know what the rules are in the U.S. but here in the U.K. pretty much everything about that flight would be illegal. 🙁
First things first, you have to have line of sight so FPV is all but prohibited except on private property or with a spotter.
You are not allowed to fly within 50 metres (160ft) of a road or other peoples property. Sub 250g and these rules don't apply.
Lastly we have a ceiling of 120 metres (400ft) above ground level so the only way you could fly at 14,000 ft is if you were at 13,600ft or higher. Nothing that tall here though. 😆
Nice little plane and nice video, it looks quite manoeuvrable as well.

FYI, there is a section of cliffs about 6 miles north of where you were at, in Long Beach, where guys used to fly gliders every afternoon. It was at Ocean Avenue and Redondo Blvd.

That is a great plane I passed on these when they first came out but I would really get a kick out of doing this!

Really awesome man! I feel the same way about small flying wings. They’re the best!

There was a swell that day, as I could tell by how far out they were breaking at HB pier.
Did you see any of the ultimate ground effect vehicles flowing the updraft from waves? (Pelicans)
Also the oil rigs don't take to kindly to flybys these days, especially after the recent spill.

They are more than just ground effect machines, they are also excellent dynamic soarers. That is why you can watch them go from the limit of your vision, across in front of you, and out to the other side limits of vision never flapping a single wing. Look up dynamic slope soaring if you want to see the effect on a large scale. Gliders doing 400 mph. Not kidding.

you should explore adding vortex generators to your aircraft for a video. I think it would be very challenging but also rewarding project.

Some folks in Ukraine would be very interested in this for ISR and artillery spotting.

Looks like it handles the wind well for such a small and light plane.
