    im so pissed off that no one talks about his vocal talent, to sing that well live and employ the techinques hes using, while playing guitar well, is ridiculous

    • @acousticdaze
      @acousticdaze 11 месяцев назад +5

      And this is nothing on what his live vocals became.
      I love the energy here but damn a few years on from this and it’s night and day vocal wise.
      But if a genius is mr johns.

    • @Kronida
      @Kronida 9 месяцев назад +1

      No one? Maybe here. There's a lot of people talking about his wide range of vocal skills and techniques, including myself! But definitely his vocal performances needed to be more appreciated outside their fans who obviously can appreciate and love his voice. I even published something about that fact on Silverchair FB fan group. It's great you appreciate his skills too!

      I believe this is because Natalie Imbruglia was at this gig, she got backstage to meet Daniel, he was shy, she approached him in the corner and introduced herself, they end up married.

    • @petervasquez1766

      I heard a clip of it, it’s a good cleanser for him, I didn’t know about them until February 2015 when I got my voice output iPhone which is blind accessible, 2 months later I looked to see if Natalie Imbruglia had any other hits, she did and they’re awesome.
      That’s how I found out about Daniel, when I found out he was a rocker, I had to look him up, pretty good shit man. LOL
      When I heard straight lines on that same story, I thought “oh shit!!! so that’s silver chair. LOL I thought they were brand-new back in July 2007 on 93.7 KLBJ which is an Austin Texas rock station, which is still around, turns out they been playing since 94 when I was 11. LOL started in 92 when I went blind. I’d love to meet both him and Natalie, I’m so happy I can put my 25 year crush for her aside to realise which I always did, it’s a shame they broke up the way they did, it makes sense why he was gone so much.
      I always wondered how would be if they got back together, would it be the same? or would it be different. LOL
      Once my gigs go further, if I run into him or her.
      I’d especially like to show Daniel some of my stuff I’ve wrote on guitar and piano, most likely guitar.
      I can carry that anywhere, unless I battery power my keyboard. LOL
      I only have one whole finger on my right hand, that’s my middle finger. Ha ha Ha the rest of them are 1 to half digits, my index are 2 digits.
      Oh yeah, I also wear a prosthetic leg colour I guess you could say I’m a mixture of Forrest Gump and Lieutenant Dan. LOLJK
      Take care Daniel, love you buddy. Thank God for Natalie and the iPhone for the blind, that’s how I was able to look you up.

    Lets be honest, as much as many fans preferring this era and earlier, the band Silverchair mk1was built on angst. So after one learns to cope in life (maturity). You can't blame the guy for not wanting to mimic, fake angst or rehash the same formula. Neon Ballroom was a beautiful compromise before the transition into Silverchair mk2 the "we can actually write, sing and play our instruments" unlike a lot of repeat the formula bands of that era. Alas bittersweet but undeniably one of the greats :)

    Great show, and thanks for posting it, but man the ads are just out of control. Some in the middle of songs. Like, really? Whyyy 😒
    ETA: They're pretty much all during songs. Wtf.

      Eh, sorry. This channel isn't monetized by me. Any ads are by Google or by companies (lables/etc) that claim (c) over the music. RUclips scans the video on upload and give permissions to anyone who owns right on the songs. Best you can do is either try to get an Ad blocker that works with Yotubue (they're making it harder to find them), or if you pay them for a "RUclips Premium" subscription all Ads are removed from all videos. Sorry though :/

      @AltCopperpot5 appreciate your reply man. That really sucks. I would've hoped you'd at least be getting the ad revenue 😓 I used to have YT premium so experiencing the sheer volume of ads now is a bit of a shock to the system 😣
      Ads aside I am really enjoying your uploads, so thank you! 💜🤘

      15 when frog was released. I see pictures of myself at 15 and seems a lifetime ago, I can’t even remember who I was then. Personally I love the sound of all albums, I’m not stuck on the heavy rock.
