Completely agree with what you said about the trailer, it does work size wise and yes I have seen specialist trailers many of times being of different, often smaller lengths. Think like many people on the internet who have lots to say actually don’t get out much and have not experience real life.
They had to release him before the others so that people would buy into the line. After Combiner Wars people wanted to see how the combined form would work.
Fun fact: if you leave the Menasor arms compacted, then plug in Drag Strip in vehicle mode, when you extend the arms it does kind of an auto-morph transformation (in that the menasor arm compresses the switch in DE and the splits in both are in the same spot). Pretty neat IMO. And yeah the weapons are pretty much my only complaint with this guy (but they were with the CW combiners too). And that tower.... 🤮
Great review! I actually don’t mind that break in the stripe on Motormaster’s cab. The break is present on the G1 toy and in the animation model so it is accurate. I also would have liked some better weaponry and maybe some blast effects. With all that room in the box, they could have included something.
I find it hilarious that you reviewed this figure because I found mine out in public at my local target and without hesitating I bought him. I was surprised that he was already out but to see him in person instead of buying off pulse or entertainment was amazing. Enjoyed the video and agreed on a lot you points on the “decepticon king of the road”
That gap, in between the cab and the fifth wheel(hitch), is there on real Semi tractors, The rear of a semi is on frame rails, which you can see on that mold. Props for a really accurate tractor mode.
I got Motormaster a week or so ago. I transformed it, left it in Combiner....then left it alone (on a trip now). I'm not gonna do a review due to time constraints and what not. Great video, BTW
the original nemesis prime / scourge/ blackconvoy. This guy was the original anti prime. How many of us playing with our toys did the whole prime vs motormaster playing chicken scene from the cartoon when we were kids.
Excellent review, brother! Been waiting for this guy, and I'm going to need 2 of him, since I'm NOT buying that dopey Cybertron Metroplex Titan figure... I'm planning to do 2 sets of the Stunticons, one for Menasor mode and a set for bot/vehicle display. Since there is SO MUCH of the Legacy series that I'm NOT buying this year, I decided to double up on these guys for my display. One suggestion for his rifle would be possibly using the rifle from Titans Return Astrotrain... I'm actually looking forward to seeing the Toyhax & 3rd Party upgrade kits for this team.
Very nice review and a very bad ass figure! I already got Drag Strip attached and just need the other 3! He’s a bit taller compared to the CW or POTP combiners but it’s not really a issue. Quality is awesome, I got one of the best figures compared to other reviews. Had to get a second one! Also got parts from TF Lab and makes the difference for MM.
After getting mine I have to give these designers some props, it may just be something to do with the trailer/combiner parts when not forming Menasor but the turret defense base succeeds in doing more than some other previous trailer base modes (I'm looking at you mostly empty box Earthrise Prime/Nemesis Prime trailer)
With the top parts of the cab they peg in better the more you play with it, as well as make sure you have the wide pin side up. Love your content by the way.
I could see those inserts as Stunticon placement in a gift set. I also thought of to keep him in perfect condition. The trailer is a beast. Dropped it on my foot that started. I enjoy this big guy. He is in Menasor mode right now. Added Dragstrip. I can say I do await what Toyhax does with him jist out of curiosity. The combiner mode is where think could use most. The G1 gun is what I want for sure. Hope the Toyhax armory updates that for sure.
Great review as always, I'm not sure how I'm going to display my stunticons...the menasor looks great but so do their individual robot modes. Shaping up to be a great set imo.

I found Motormaster for $85 on Amazon, but applying points I earned it came out to $35. I never had the G1 version since I never cared for the Stunticons. The only complete G1 Scramble City combiner I have are the Aerialbots. This Motormaster is well above the G1 version which looks like a box with arms and legs. At least this Menasor will be stable and won't suffer skinny leg syndrome that most G1 combiners had. Hopefully a 3rd party releases a Mensor sized sword since Motormaster's looks like a dagger.
I actually really like this Motormaster. They did a good job on the Menasar part too. Kind of gives me hope for when they redo the other combiners. Just wish Motormaster was as tall as Megatron and Optimus.
I loveeee this figure so much. I’m one of the few to have him displayed with his base mode on my legacy shelf atm. But unfortunately my copy was yellowed in the shoulder region right outta the box. Menasors shoulder to be accurate. It does suck but can’t lie it doesn’t detract to how AWESOME HE IS !!
Great Review... He is fantastic... I ordered two (at retail price) from Amazon and received them a few days ago.... One to keep separate as Motormaster... and One to keep as Menasor, so that the combiner stays nice, tight, and stable for a long time. Dragstrip is already attached and ready for battle. (Got two of Dragstrip as well, for the same reasons)... Now I'm just wondering why Wildrider isn't in stores yet, and patiently waiting for Dead End and Break Down to pick those up and to complete the combiner...
I really hope we get the other combiners in this style. Mainly Combatacons and their RID counterparts Combatrons. I want the Combatrons to go with Scourge. But I’ll settle for the G2 Stunticons.
That was a good revie. Patriot Prime is luck his Motormaster didn't have any discoloured parts, mine is on the shin of Menasors left leg which is visible even uncomplete. Also he said you could only see Dragstrip, Wildrider and Breakdown on the box's front. But i also saw Dead end below where Breakdown is. must in front of Motormasters cab. Very good figure, worthwhile purchase. Pity it'll take until next year to be complete.
The stripe going down the trailer never connected like the G1 toy and toon images. The silver lines would've been nice to homage the toy but the toon aesthetic seems to be the goal. Love the figure though. I rotated the hips to put the large pin in the back where it should be because the sculpted lines match up better and looks like it was supposed to be turned but adds a couple of extra steps to spin the hips around on Motormaster.
WORD OF CAUTION: i got my motormaster last week, and, during the third or fourth time i transformed him into menasor, one of the gray tabs on the chestpiece (that was part of he trailer) that flip up to lock motormaster into place (the ones on either side of the head; you can see them in the above picture) snapped off. this was during normal use. the black pieces that the gray pieces are attached to the chestpiece with sheared off. as someone who refurbishes and fixes toys, i found this break to be unrepairable - attempting to glue it back together would cause the gray piece to be unable to move at all. the amount of plastic on the sheared-off black piece is so tiny, and the clearance between it and the gray place is basically non-existent. fortunately, hasbro is going to replace the broken part. unfortunately, they can't just send the chestpiece and i need to mail back the entire toy. every other time i've broken a figure (except the shoulder joint on king of the snipers - that one is just very poorly designed [the joint, not the whole figure]) has been my fault. this is the first time i feel like it was an endemic problem with the toy's design. and, as i said at the start, this was only the third or fourth time that i manipulated the pieces in question, i was using it as designed, and i did not in any way force it. overall, i love the figure. this has nothing to do with that. i just want people to be aware that this is a very real thing that could happen to anyone and that it is (unless you are unbelievably skilled and/or are a jedi) nearly impossible to fix without impacting functionality.
got my motormaster bit over priced but still a very nice figure cant wait for dead end and wildrider. Menasoe should look great. Motormaster is common here in Iowa weird enough
It’s not overpriced whatsoever. The entire figure weighs over 1.5 pounds of solid, high quality plastic. He is as solid and quality a figure as you are ever going to see outside masterpiece.

I'm not sure if I need the full deep dive into the upgrades, but I am anxious to see how the ToyHax set for this guy turns out. (Relatedly, I happened to find Wild Rider and Knock-Out at a mall Slacker's, so as with Bulkhead, I can't wait to get the labels for KO) [Also when I got my Motormaster, the wheels on the left arm side of the trailer were warped but a bit of a boiling water bath allowed me to get it back in shape; it doesn't affect the figure as much but the ratchet in the left knee doesn't seem to work, so I may open it up eventually and see what's wrong, and hope the ratchet is mis-assembled rather than broken or absent.]
I kinda want to collect all of them to make Menasor. I still have my G1 ones, I always loved Motormaster. Was at Walmart recently and didn't see him but they actually had some good stuff for once. Too broke to get the Coronation Starscream atm though Dx.
I had mine slip through my fingers at target and I'm still kicking myself for it. I got a friend checking the back for me tho hopefully something turns up.
One of the best Legacy figures. I don’t like the gun at all though and mine has an issue staying together in base mode. I want a Thunder Clash retool out of this mould!
hate the way this figure transforms. he's supposed to transform the opposite/inverted way of Optimus (or Ultra Magnus), with him mostly being made up of the trailer and the cab is his feet. MM isn't Optimus or Nemesis, he's his own char that just so happens to have a semitruck altmode - he wears the front of the cab like sneakers essentially.
Personally the faux feet just really kill this figure for me. I still ordered him, cause I want a Menasor for my collection, but I still just really hate that about this figure.
The price killed me but I got it anyway. I must say I’m not impressed with the trailers that have came with optimus and now motor master. Seems like as much we are paying they could do better landing gear and wheels on these guys

28:13 The combiner arms actually click into place on the shoulder connectors. You have to press down fairly hard.
Also peg the peg slot onto his left arms peg slightly higher than the hand and it looks better

I think I like the idea of the Stunticons as a team more than as the combiner Menasor, Motormaster in particular is a very charming robot.

I don't have a problem with the box. The figure was well protected and no twist ties to worry about.
I got him along with Dragstrip and Wildrider. Dead-End's next and Breakdown is expected to be released next year.

Most "Base Modes" are just an afterthought anyway. A Thunderclash would be awesome.
