I am surprised, no one has made an "Autobot" version of Menasor with Optimus Mirage Jazz Sideswipe and Wheeljack( who cares about Windcharger). The trailer does most of the work, and the full cars just attach to the body.
after seeing legacy, I'm glad hasbro used this style of combination for menasor, but I'm seeing people complaining how motormaster doesn;t transform with his trailer. I mean....the only motormaster to transform with the trailer is fanstoys, and it doesn't even combine. the other's they just used the trailer as a "platform" for the stunticons to merge. the weird thing is when 3rd party do this style for motormaster, using the trailer to combine, people are fine, but when hasbro does it, people complain about it.
There are definitely people who hold Hasbro to unreasonable standards and talk shit about everything they do while frothing at the mouth over new 3P reveals. Fandoms sometimes….
I mean Menasor is LITERALLY just some cars glued onto the limbs of a robot. Other combiners you could reasonably complain about not being “all inclusive” but an all-inclusive Menasor that looks accurate to the original design is literally impossible to do. The fact that the body is an actual transforming component that integrates into the alt-modes already puts it miles ahead of something like the Newage Devastator, which straight up just has a non-transforming hunk of giant robot that the vehicle modes peg onto.
This is probably one of my fan favourite menasor toys after the combiner wars one,its really unique and accurate, especially the sword and the head, and i love the menasor pose with starscream, neat
@@PSYCHOWORLD The CW version becomes a lot better if you get Wildrider (BrakeNeck) to complete the proper original team, and then use Offroad to bulk up the back of Menasor. It's not difficult, and makes him look ten times better. Mistransforming the hips so he doesn't look like he's got a painful crotch infection really helps too. Bigger feet and nicer hands would be a bonus for sure, but there are upgrade sets to take care of that too.
I just got this set and I had issues with Deadend too. He broke in 3 places while I was trying to transform him. I wasn't to upset because everything tabs together well and i basically got him for the Menasor mode. Plus im putting together the Legacy version right now. Just need Wildrider and Breakdown. I've been on the fence about which one to get. How does Legacy stack up to this one? I believe Legacy is a bit larger, but does he tower over the Magic Square KO? Any more info would be appreciated. Cheers!
The reason Drag Strip has the extra parts is because of a molding error with the panels that makes it not sit right, I'm pretty sure that's why but I might be wrong. Also, don't forget to turn around Dead End's hands in vehicle mode
Worst part is that apparently, nobody learned from it; there's another KO out there by MHZ Toys ("Tigerwing") that's basically a box set of all five Stunticons...but Deadend has the same problem as the BW version (the back half doesn't sit well on the panel for arm mode).
I wish I could get the Motormaster cab by itself cause I love the look of that figure and he's always been my favorite of the Stunticons by far. I'm really hoping the Legacy one is dope af!
honestly, all I want from the upcoming Menasor is for Motormaster to transform into robot mode using the entire truck and trailer like the G1 toy, and a 3rd party one I can't remember
It’s FansToys that incorporates the trailer. That thing had some very fancy engineering though. Well beyond chug scale. I think they will either do it like the Netflix series ultra magnus or the trailer will just be a base/ parts forming for menasor
Unite Warriors Bruticus is pretty decent far as official figures go, the problem with the CW Menasor is the torso, it really is lacking and someone was attempting to try and squeeze a Optimus prime out of the mold and that came at the cost of a descent Motormaster and Menasor, it was the worse combiner torso in the whole trilogy, the other torsos were much more stable thou not perfect but they worked!
@superomegaprimemk2 I actually prefer Combiner Wars Blast Off's jet mode compared to the Unite Warrior's space shuttle mode. It fits the militaristic aesthetic a bit more, and the sizing is slightly less unrealistic.
I don't want them to redo Bruticus! I got CW and got some 3rd party upgrades for it including the toyhax stickers (so glad on this one), better shoulder blasters, and guns that look just like G1 but combine into a super rifle.
it looks great, Il give it that, but Im just not a fan of frame types, though this does mean you could just get some shells made that look like the stunticons and peg those onto the frame so you can have the combiner and the bots separately. Just for clarity, this wasn't a compliment.
I like Legacy Menasor more. Motormaster feels more needed than most third party versions. like, this version of Motormaster becomes a backpack. Legacy Motormaster becomes the head, and the connection points for the shoulders.
I saw a video of a bootleg transformers combiner where combiner is actually just wearing the cars and instead of combiner parts, it’s just a whole robot that doesn’t even transform into anything, so it’s only purpose is to attach the members to its limbs and body.
All I want is for someone to make a menasor where the carbots actually become the limbs rather than being worn like accessories. To date the only ones that did that were G1 and Combiner Wars.
The Transformmission set _kinda_ does that. Drag Strip and Dead End do become the arms, but you still need to partsform the hands to them. Wildrider and Breakdown do attach to leg pieces, but they do look more essential to the combined form than most of the other sets. ALSO: Sadly, people forget that this kind of combination is in line with the G1 aestethics.
