    Same day, time and area. Fish very reluctant to strike but following all the time…never seen so many before. Frustrating but great day!

    Good upload , forsure I,ll always use a shallow diver before surface lure when I can ,as hook up rate is much better, and less work as you say,a really good diver for surface when there on the smalls is the yo zuri 3D inshore surface,A great bass catcher.Really well made upload as Always mate 👍.tightlines 😎🐟

      @@FISHISLANDTV it’s very good lure that one .
      that’s always in my box mate, I’ve a coffee /brown one it’s the colour to have for bass it’s only 11g but casts really well , also good in big waves, just back from bassin all morning in wales here, best fish 6lb was on jenzi phantom f diamond spoon 18g in brass .good lure in really brown water which we have in Bristol Channel lol.bigger sizes are great for bluefish in Spain. Always enjoy watching your uploads mate ,look forward to your next upload tightlines mate 😎🐟👍

      That sounds brilliant mate! One thing that always interests me is you guys in the mainland can catch a bass when the waters like soup.
      I find it a bit of a challenge here when the sea here goes a bit of a milky color!

      @@FISHISLANDTV forsure mate the brown (chocolate )water lure fishing isn’t easy,what I do is have one rod on self hooking bait rig.Which normally catches the big bass I’ve had 9 bass on that rod from 6lb to just under 9lb in the last 4 weeks in the monsoon up here lol.and I bring one lure rod for when I see baitfish topping,bass strikes,or any clearing in water on the ebb, then your need the right lure for brown water , brass spoons,yellow,shebert,or white eel lures, or red head divers with rattles. Or flying c mepps red or yellow are good.also good time for lures in this brown water is small tides after 4 or five days without rain very rare in wales lol. The bass average here is very good probably the best anywhere I’ve fished in Europe so when you do hook one on lure it’s worth all the hassle lol. Iam back out this morning fishing in the chocolate water lol.anyway I hope this helps you abit at how to fish the brown water.tightlines mate😎🐟

      Sorry for late reply matey .....Thats good that you guys get a good average stamp of fish mate and great that you are confident in murky water.
      i got some pretty noisy hard lures I might try trolling with when the water clears up with the cameras on the line to get some action shots of takes on the lure i think that will be pretty cool.
      how do you get on with topwater lures when its coloured water bud.

    Surely the days of two barbed treble hooks should be behind us in a predominantly catch and release fishery?

    • @FISHISLANDTV
      @FISHISLANDTV  10 месяцев назад

      Hi buddy
      A lot of the Hard baits come with three trebles but the smaller lures I use down this side of the Island come with two.
      The majority of treble hooks I use on the Kayak are de-barbed mostly for my safety.
      Thanks for watching it’s much appreciated!

    Great Vid!.. couple of questions if I may, is the remote for the outboard, wireless, or do you run a wire to it, and what sort sort of radio/walki - talkie do you carry, I assume you have an emergency channel, in case you need help? Thanks, Nick?

    • @FISHISLANDTV
      @FISHISLANDTV  Год назад

      Hi there matey the remote is for the outboard which is completely wireless the only cable I have to the motor is the kill cord.
      I’m using a Cobra VHF radio mate, we use channel 16 here as our emergency frequency.
      Thanks for watching it’s much appreciated.
