On Normal mode , I believe its 50 Enemies and Very Hard & Master Ninja I belive its 200 or something like that At the End of it , i cant quite remember what you are rewarded with, but its worth it
Ninja Dog/Hero Mode difficulty: 40 enemies Normal difficulty: 60 enemies Hard difficulty: 80 enemies Very hard difficulty: 100 enemies Master Ninja difficulty: 120 enemies To simply put, the amount of enemies you have to kill in the challenge areas goes up by 20 as the difficulty increases.
If no one told you the essence “formula,” an enemy’s base yield will double at 20 hits and multiply again every 5 hits thereafter, capping out at 7x at 50 hits. And killing an enemy with an Ultimate Technique can multiply the essence yield further, either by 3x or 7x, depending on the level of technique used. But any essence absorbed for a UT will be cut 80%, so try not to absorb the big orbs if you’re trying to make money!
The one advice I'd give to you is guard resets. Whenever your guard is broken, just press the block button again to reset it. Very precise timing but should lead you to be able to block every attack in the game.
Ryu has a moveset for all instances. Running, wall running, running on water, still jumps, forward jumps, upon landing, air combos. The shuriken cancel should be used as a single tap, to get back to melee faster.
Watch some videos of JayTB That’ll help u alot Also, if u press block, then u dont absorb the essence, leave 2 yellow essence (or 1 blue/red essence) behind and do the on landing technique u’re doing. U can do it with 1 yellow essence too but that’ll not be as powerful as with 2 essence Edit: Plus do learn the roll jump technique and also rolling in one direction and jumping in another. This will help u alot to evade hordes of enemies and landing in proper space to attack enemies.
Has anyone told you about the wind run technique? It's another form of jumping that's always jumps towards the closest enemy and works great for flying swallows, head jumps, and guillotine throws. Good luck out there young ninja. Master parrying and blocking to max out essence usage.

Right so: - Holy cow awesome stuff I love that you're learning so quickly especially with the on landings. - since you have on landings nailed I can only suggest you do so if you can see either: 1 blue essence or 2 yellow essence. (you'll see ;) other than that you are smashing it I can't wait to see more! (obviously don't burn yourself out ninja gaiden is rage inducing). I send all my christmas energy and much love again! Ver well made video. Good cuts to the important stuff. Nice commentation. Absolutly fantastic game. Oh, and you should try to complete thw challenge rooms. It'll make the game way less harder in the upcoming levels by extending your toral lifle or even ninpo/ magic. Alao, the zeppelin boss is by far the most annoying one imo (not the hardest tho). His random triggering no-evasion nor block attacks are just badly designed... Later bosses dont have that.
Ninja Gaiden was like original Dark Souls, where every is just hard. I finished NG3 RE that one compared to other is just harder on normal. NG2 is probably easiest one

From what I remember, the numbers for rooms like that are either 60 or 120 enemies depending on the room.

Hard mode isn't really hard but once you go to very hard it's a pain I'm lucky I made it to the last chapter without crying
