That’s funny, I just finished putting this build together a couple of days ago; I’d been trying to find a good weapon for frost but had a hard time finding any good fits that weren’t just melee influence spam, even jat kittag wasn’t really cutting it. Sobek just has so much room for activities since you can easily get 0 mod viral from abilities and the weapon progenitor bonus. Good stuff
It’s worth noting as an alternative you can do a similar thing on frost with melee influence as that also gives frost a decent AoE add clear paired with his armor strip, albeit this looks better.
Saryn: Can comfortably add 2 elements to whatever the sobek already has, acid shells spreads status. Acid shells chains Armor Strip: Any warframe that can quickly strip armor can make ANY weapon feel and look viable Kuva Sobek on Frost: Unsurprisingly good, because armor stripped enemies are paper thin and Acid shells deals damage based off MAX hp of the target that dies. Acid shells has always been a niche pick. Frost: Anyone who has had his augments and played around with him over the years has known he is sleeper good. Yeah I know it was addressed in the video and I am just speculating but I think the acid shells xata's whisper and frost's 1 buff is definitely causing some unintended behavior. My understanding of acid shells is that because it's the sobek specific augment that only enemies killed by the sobek's projectiles or inflicted procs etc. should be proccing the augment's effect. This seems all too reminiscent of dual ichor's pools re-proccing themselves with melee influence. But hey who knows maybe they will leave it alone.
It can still be saryns best after the ichor nerf, particularly when you shoot 1 enemy and everything everywhere dies, other weapons dont do that. Its also %dmg of course, so it gets stupid if you like endurance
You need to make a DPS Saryn w/3 weapon dps buffing abilities. It is different from the usual Toxic Lash x spore spreading version. And showcase various weapons with it. That would be so funny as DPS Saryn is already genocide capable and then considering that EVERYTHING scales with acid shells from Kuva Sobek with it is uhhhh a little absurd. Anyways, it is a shame that we need to say that this isn't overpowered because quite frankly it isn't but anything that is new always risks getting more unwarranted attention for alterations.

To make things worse, acid shells has radial fall off which means unless enemies are next to each other, then the explosion wont do any meaningful damage. That being said, this kind of works on Saryn but the sobek isn't your main avenue of damage (and its worse than a thrown melee). If you have toxic lash active, the sobek explosions will cause spores to spread and the toxin procs from toxic lash will cause enemies to explode with acid shells, so you can get a kind of unstable chain reaction going on tile sets where the enemy density is super high (such as some alchemy tiles) where you can spread huge amounts of toxin procs and they actually do damage because murmur has no armor and spores strip the armor they do have. The problem with running this on a Saryn is of course the existence of melee influence which is going to do insane amounts of damage compared to the sobek.
