- Combining beans and rice is an idea I came up with one time when I was trying to think of something cool and original to do with food. I took the beans and the rice and then I combined them with some spice and it turned out good. It just goes to show that taking risks sometimes pays off.

hey...okay so, like, if you rinse your rice then your rice will be less sticky because you will have washed some starch away. If you have a suitable strainer and a suitable amount of gumption, be my guest. If you don't, don't worry about it, just make the rice.

I lived in Brazil for a few months and ate black beans and rice every. single. day! I miss it. I don't remember it being particularly spicy. Gonna try this recipe!
@@karenshaw7807 Brazilian here. Yeah. In Brazil rice and beans (black, or red, or white beans), are the base of any normal day meal. But not spicy. .The black bean gets even better in a stem with sausage and pork cuts.

@Saksham Jain Record the video twice, one with the can rolling across the cutting board. Another with the beans already on the board. As the can rolls upward, reveal the second video with the beans on the board. It's convenient that the edge of the bean can is straight so there isn't a lot of complex masking involved.

Wild rice is an endangered species, you monster.
I mean, bees are too but nobody cares lol. Also he got the rice from a farm in his forest, so it isn't gonna be lower on the population. The species is rare, yes, but if he breeds it like minecraft cows, he's basically copying them. That's not gonna lower the amount of them.
Even though it is, it is useless, like you. Nobody cares or should care about it. On the other hand we have the beautiful and useful 'like-the-guy-she-told-you-not-to-worry-about' wild beans. Save wild beans. Not wild rice. Let's pledge to it.

@@bflavasonthetrack i forgot about that. when putting the feral salt inside, cover your ears with earplugs because the salt makes a super loud scream. to prevent this, put feral salt in the freezer with water. it will harden into a brick. you can wangjangle it with a whisk, or put it in the food processor and blend it.

U should see thet little garden gal hustle makn Carmel corn. It,s tricky. She used the biggest pan I ever saw to stockpile her popcorn in. Then made Carmel w 2 sticks butter and brown sugar. Then had to combine b4 it got glued. She,s fast .

I've been waiting for this to come up on your channel since I first tried this recipe from your cookbook. It's become a staple in my household. My boyfriend's brother is the pickiest eater in the world and went his whole life hating beans. We peer pressured him to have some one time, and it's changed his life. He wouldn't even look at a legume before, and now he's constantly asking if we want to make this for dinner. We had a container with 20lbs of rice in our cabinet that hadn't been used in months, but we recently had to buy more just because of this dish.
I, myself, have never liked onions in any form, but for whatever reason opted to keep them in the first time we threw this together. Now I like onions, and I'm kind of mad about it. I went 23 years hating onions, YSAC. TWENTY-THREE Y E A R S. Do you know what it's like to spend that long hating a certain kind of food, just to have someone come along and make it make sense as an ingredient? Like, I finally understand why people like onions so goddamn much. I owe onions an apology. It was never the onions' fault, it was mine for being so distastefully closed-minded and not giving them the proper respect they deserve. This comment is getting long and it's about time for my nightly sacrifice to Allium cepa for my transgressions, so I'm gonna end it here.
