Hi Clara, I like how you speak so clearky and fluently. I just wanna know if you had any struggles or difficulties regarding the language here in NZ when you first came here? Though they speak English here, it's quite different on how we speak English back in the Philippines. If yes, what did you do to overcome this? Thank you 😊
Hello,
Thank you. 😊 I had some challenges when I first came here, especially understanding what people are saying because some of their pronunciation is quite different. To overcome it, I just put myself out there. I taught karate, worked in retail where I had to talk to people every day. When things were not clear to me at all, I asked what people meant. Listen to the news as well, although news anchors and reporters speak more clearly than others, they still have a very distinct NZ accent.
Anyhow, never be afraid to ask questions and clarifications. People usually understand as NZ is a multicultural country. 🙂 Hope this helps. 🤞
@@SenseiClara thank you so much for this insight, it meant a lot. God bless you more!❤️
@@joanjonnie934 Likewise 😊
Is it necessary to live in nz for two years before applying for PR? Or is it true that its valid if you stay in nz for at least 6 months per year? Thank you!
Yes, that's the pre-requisite. I don't know about 6 months at a time. You can't get a PR without having a temporary residency unless you are married to a Kiwi I think.
If you read the immigration website, you should get a more thorough explanation. Depending on the circumstances, your length of stay here accumulates.
Read up about it before applying for a visa. Their terms and conditions change over time.
Hello, Sensei Clara. What do you exactly mean by your visa being partnership based?
My partner/boyfriend sponsored me for my visa.
Good work
Cheers!
Congratulations
thanks
Hi ma'am, i need to ask how much time it take for international student to get visa or interview for student visa as i applied on 30Nov and yet there is no response ..
Immigration should have this info on their website. They might have a backlog from Christmas. Check their website. You can call them too, especially if you're starting your study soon.
Thank you
No worries. 🙂
I've been learning from you for a few days, and I'm excited about the idea of teaching in New Zealand. I've gained a lot of helpful information from you, and it's made it easier for me to figure out how to make that happen. Thanks a lot for your help. I hope you keep enjoying what you do. God bless you!@@SenseiClara
@@flinze2001 Hello,
Thanks so much for this amazing feedback. I'm glad I could be of help. No worries at all. God bless you, too. ❤
Hello Mam, I have a few questions. Please guide me, I am from India.
1- Can we get a job without coming to New Zealand or will we have to come there and then try for a teaching job?
2- To teach in early childhood education, do I need to take a degree in ECE from New Zealand or any other diploma or any other course related to it?
3- I have checked the vacancy there very much, in which the condition is that you must be a permanent resident of New Zealand, then how can we apply?
Hi,
You can teach here if you have a NZ teacher registration. Watch this ruclips.net/video/t-OnR2soYMw/видео.htmlsi=FIgZ6Wj5mq7GMaAO

It’s definitely doable. 🙂
Hello ! Can you explain the benefits of New Zealand Citizens ? Is it really good ?
It's good if you're wanting to acquire a NZ passport. You also get free health care. However, you get this when you become a resident too.
@@SenseiClara How about for free education of children who are resident ? Is it until Tertiary ?
@@bumh21 Not until tertiary, just high school.
Hi, how long did the whole process take ? From applying for citizenship ?
I think it was 1.5 months.
Thanks for the reply, wao that is quick. Google says it takes average 19 months to get it ?
@@tolgaaslan8997 Do you mean from applying for citizenship to getting my passport? It wasn't that long for me. It might have been 2 months.
How to clear teacher interview mam please give me a idea here what they ask and I want to became a English teacher in primary school and is english is demandable subject or not in new zealand
In primary school, we teach all subjects.
As for high school, English is not really part of the green list job if you watched my video on this.
I’ll try to remember the questions they ask and make a video on that.
@@SenseiClara
Good morning 😊

@@AnjuBattan Will do, I’m still cooking this up. 🙂
Do you think a bachelor of linguistics can become a teacher in NZ?
Hi,
Sorry, your comment went to Spam. I just noticed it.
Yes, you can definitely become a teacher here but you have to take the Graduate Diploma in Teaching. My partner finished the same degree and took the said course afterwards.
Did the NZQA approve your degree that you completed in Philippines?
Not for teaching straight away.
Here’s a video I made for that. ruclips.net/video/G34fWy0lVRs/видео.htmlsi=NN83Tv1XCtPvGFVs

My bachelor’s degree and 6 months additional study were done in the Philippines. I did 1 year study in New Zealand to become a fully qualified teacher as NZQA recommended me to do it.
