If you've got the result already, why do you still want more assessment? Read the notes on your assessment result. That will determine whether NZQA deemed you eligible for teaching in NZ or not.

I think you definitely have a shot to get registered as a teacher. My friend who doesn’t even have any experience is eligible to register. As for the subject, you might have to negotiate with the principal when you apply. Anyhow, NZQA can tell you a more concrete answer.

Hi, Why don't you teach in high school? You can teach Business or Maths maybe. I don't know about ECE. They might ask you to do the Graduate Diploma in Teaching in ECE which is good for a year.

I don't think it matters as long as you can prove that you can do the job well. Although, I went to the Uni of Waikato.

Not too sure if you still need to do more studies. NZQA can tell you better, just be clear when you apply for assessment that you want to be in ECE.

It's not TEFL or TESOL, it's an IELTS or PTE test result that you need. You need this to prove your English Language Proficiency.

I've not heard of it. I know of some people who changed careers to teaching in their 50s. It might be different if you're from overseas.
