I can't compare it as such because I have not taught in America. However, you might encounter disrespectful students in some schools here. With relationship-building, they'll eventually mellow down. A lot of our students here thrive in strong teacher-student relationship as they might not have stable home-life. I have been enjoying my teaching journey here is all I can say. :)

Great questions! I won't give you numbers but I'll give you an explanation. Below you'll find my answer to each of your questions. 1. This depends on how good the teacher is at building relationships with the students. I personally don't have problems building teacher-student relationships with my learners. 2. Administration - again depends on the school but in general teachers collectively don't feel as valued by the ministry. Sad truth! 3. I have seen teachers in other countries being more appreciated and valued by society than here. As for parents, most of the ones I've had dealings with, they're great.
