Un pianiste exceptionnel ! Son hommage à Errol Garner est absolument bluffant. Et le reste de ses morceaux est à l’avenant. Que ce soit Bach père ou fils ou Gershwin. Et la joie et le sourire qu’il affiche en permanence sur son visage sont communicatifs, il irrigue le bonheur et une apparente facilité. Et la qualité du trio est à l’avenant. Merci, merci pour le partage. A noter qu’une partie de ce même programme est disponible sur Spotify dans un album intitulé Swinging the Classics.

I didn't see somethig great by another pianists. Eugen Cicero doesn't look at his hands most of time. And how wonderful, brilliant he played. Eugen Cicero was a genius.
As I have commented about Cicero on Amazon: He is, in fact, a piano Genius as any pianist can acknowledge. A strong virtuose with superb improvisational skills. He deserves to be more well known!

Für Eugen Cicero konnte ich gerade noch eine der begehrten Karten ergattern. Das war nur mit Vorbestellung möglich. Dieses und viele andere Konzerte waren unvergesslich. Der WDR dürfte noch einen großen Schatz an Aufnahmen haben, die es zu zeigen wert wäre.
A pianist with a very polished technique and a very beautiful execution. Here he shows his talents as a great improviser. The other two musicians also prove to be excellent players. Not only did Loussier have the ability to jazz up Bach's work, Cicero did it too, but in a great way. Thanks for sharing this gem. Greetings.

Cicero is a good pianist and imitator of classical and jazz compositions, but don't dare to compare him with Oscar Peterson, because you don't understand anything in jazz, as I see.
I don't compare them with each other, it's a an absurd thing to do. I have been a Peterson fan for decades but also like the sheer exuberance of Cicero, with Cicero you are at a party so just enjoy it.

２０代後半の時、札幌の地下街を歩いているときに耳に入り、体が思わず沸き立ちました。クラシックがまるで服を脱ぎ棄て踊りだしたしびれを感じつつ、流してるレコード店に駆け込み、買いました。彼のレコードで日本で手に入るものは殆ど買いました。秋田市にも来てくれたに観客がまばらだったのが非常に残念でした。早すぎたのかな、天才。

Just wonderful entertainment; extraordinary talent of all three ! Such a shame Eugen is no longer with us, but his music and his talent lives on.

This Is an incredible piece of art! I really tried to come close to understand Cicero’s work.
Love his Chopin's "Prelude In E-minor" jazz cover. It's a great music. And It's so sad, that there is no video, where Cicero playing it live.
