Thank you very much all made sense and what I have😢. What about taking enclomiphene citrate or HCG ? Would that do the same job as finastride or lower DHT and block 5 alpha ? I'm suffering of low testosterone
Hi, i think you should make an appointment with your endocrinologist. No adaquete doctot will suggest you anything through the internet without looking at your past medical history and adaquete examination.
Does dutasteride work by binding to 5-alpha reductase rendering it ineffective? If that is the case, there will be wide reaching effects because other hormones (e.g., progesterone) must be reduced into their dihydro version (e.g., dihydroprogeterone). O, does dutasteride work by binding to testosterone blocking the ability of 5-alpha reductase from reducing the testosterone to DHT? If so, does it bind to any hormones other than testosterone?
As far as we currently know Dutasteride binds to enzyme (5 alpha reductase). As with any other drug - there are some collateral effects that sometimes can cause side effects.
Dutasteride blocks 5-alpha reductase irreversibly, it doesn't only block it for testosterone. Why does progesterone have to use 5-alpha reductase? There are more metabolic pathways for it.
How much time for 5 alpha reductase enzyme working fine after stopping finasteride?...I think it's 30 days after stopping...5 alpha reductase starts to increase again.
Can't say for sure. It's depends on individual factors ( hepatic metabolism, the amount of receptors etc). 30 days - in some individual maybe, but not in all cases for sure.
@@Foxterrier It has been nine months for me and my symptoms are getting worse. Clearly related to the use and then stopping Finasteride. Very dangerous drug.
@@acquiesce100 Yes, DHT and Testosterone are involved in the regulation of ejaculation and libido. So with a decrease in DHT concentration - such side effects are possible
Thank you sir it was a great lecture
Thank you, appreciate it )
Great lecture my man. Can you also get more shedding phases on the scalp if you take a 5 alpha-inhibitor?
Hello. Sorry man, honestly dont know.

I took Finasteride to treat MPB and developed PFS: no libido, no mind-genital connection, anhedonia, depression, ED. How can I recover?
You should consult with your personal physician. Usually side effects are almost always reversible and will go away after discontinuation of the drug.

Did you get better after taking the drug.????
How are you now?
@@shawnpeters2196 Hi Shawn, almost 3 years later, no improvement at all.
Why does it cause ejaculation problems and loss of libido?
Because it decreases the production of hormones that are responsible for ejaculation and libido (DHT).
@@Foxterrier So your saying it's because DHT is responsible for ejaculation and libido?
