For a man getting old and fat, less and less natural testosterone is a living hell. Take gear and aromatase inhibitors. Lift heavy, do your cardio. Be strong. Be huge. Be a babe magnet. Be superhuman!
@Valerie O'Brien women also habe testosterone in their bodies, but at much lower level than men. Your arm strength may not necessarly be due to testosteron, it could for example be another genetic factor that gave you strong arms and legs.
@Valerie O'Brien "have beaten men in arm wrestling, when o was younger" You were stronger when u wer younger? Wat about now when u are older? Do you have the same strength? Just curious to know. The difference in strengths between men and women actually increases as they age. The males get more stronger than females as they age and the females get less stronger than the males as they age. This difference in strengths keep increasing upto a certain age (upto old age). If u are still stronger than males, u must be an extremely rear exception among women.

@Cristian I think the people above tried to make a point, but I do not condone their rudeness. However I disagree with the idea of women as "soft", and that their main qualities being things like beauty, cooking skills, graciousness and so on. Since women have been gaining more voice in the last decades, we've learned that they want to have ambitions and be seen as more than family assets and a kind of servant to their partner. But I think you were just trying to portray women as valuable, in a somewhat old fashioned rather than degrading way.

It's not as easy as people think. Testosterone, aromatase, estrogen, cortisone, and many more chemically interacting systems are very finely balanced. If you change one, they all change and are affected.

Starting testosterone injection mellowed out my mood and made me calmer. I am happier, calmer, much more at ease when giving myself injections of test and this has been for the last 7 years for me.

At 40 I had no energy and was quite depressed. My doctor ordered a full blood panel including sex hormones. My serum testosterone came back at 21 ng/dL. He then told me this was not healthy and put my on testosterone cypionate. We now keep my levels around 700 ng/dL. This absolutely changed my life. My income has more than tripled. My drive is back where it used to be when I was 20. Anyone suffering from depression should get lab tests immediately.
I'm 24, and I have depression. My testosterone level was 426 ng/dL. It's not high but is not quite low either. I guess I just have to take antidepressant😭.

Testosterone doesn’t make you angry instead it has opposite effect. Those who go through vigorous physical activity are more calm than those with low testosterone. In male body, low testosterone can actually make you moody and even small things can make you angry.
I am not sure about that, it is not conclusive. What i can tell you is the type of exercise and how physically active the person is, that is a key, today modern men in developed countries are less active with their legs, walking and lifting heavy weights. Leg work promotes testosterone production, sedentary individuals tend to lose a lot of testosterone production. Too much exercise can be negative, i think a balance is needed. The problem is that everything today is artificial, guys are eating gmo proteins and steroids, so nothing is what it seems really. Artificial methods deflate our own body testosterone production, so bigger no healthier. But exercise is key imo, a good balance is a must.
Anger has little to do with Testosterone, but Cortisol resorption. Sure, Testosterone can make you more motivated and driven. This can be good or bad depending on your personality traits, like Narcissism or Psychopathy, driven by blunted dopamine responses, driven by certain genotypes of DRD4 dopamine receptor genes. 93% of all violent prisoners in prison have the DRD4 genotype. Mixed with COMT the warrior gene, it can lead to extreme violence, or controlled violence, depending on brain structure and upbringing.
Entrepreneur Behavior also plays a key factor. But cause of being angry or aggressive is not unidimensional. Our hormones also have some part in it. But adequate amount of Testosterone gives men confidence and a sense of calmness. If you have too low, the person can get really moody.
Testosterone should never be thought of as "political", "dangerous", "domination" etc. It's about your health. You don't want through the roof amounts, you don't want a shortage. You want a heathy level and that's that.
All this study proves is that men are less aggressive towards one another and are better able to control violent outburst where there is no women or children present due to there being CONSEQUENCES to angering another man. That fear is not present when dealing with women and children
@@c.a.greene8395 just admit you hate men and already made up your mind way before any study If you wanna talk about violence agents children, talk about the fact most abuse of kids comes from women Or the fact the cdc reports an = amount of domestic abuse from men and women
@@nobodythenobody9779 and no I do not hate men thank you. Its my personal opinion that for every issue women complain about men for - some woman is responsible... We are the child minders. We teach our daughters to be nurturing, loving, and allow them to own their feelings. We tell our sons to 'suck it up ' - don't be a sissy - and so much worse when they are but toddlers the conditioning begins... We give our daughters dolls and babies from birth, our sons get guns and tools of destruction... We teach znd mold our daughters, condition them for their place in society - yet our sons are allowed to roam freely as 'boys will be boys ' and magically at 21 are expected to be men often with no instruction or a father to teach him.... I think women can do so much better by their sons than we have been. I think its truly our fault men are often unable to deal with complex emotions at high stress times such as divorce - we women never gave them the tools to deal with them... So when my girlfriends complain ( and they do ) I remind them - they had 21 years learning to deal with complex emotions BEFORE you became an adult, give your husband a break

@@archiej6386 Have you never heard about the divine masculine and divine feminine? The Yin and Yang? The sexual polarisation? The true gender traits that men and women search in one another and makes them genetically able to live together and work together as a couple or family unit? Women want to be in their feminine, a woman wants a gentle leader that gives the best of himself each day without talking about yesterday. A leader that does not tell her what to do, but goes first, or leads by example. A man that's a rock that does not match his opinion to hers. A man who can stand up for himself, so he can stand up for her. A guy she can't have her way with. A dude that can listen ans ask questions until he understands and does not argue or give unsolicited advice whilst listening to her. That's the divine masculinity. The thing women test when they look straight into your eyes when smiling, to see if you look away first, to test your masculinity, over and over, so she knows she's safe and can open herself emotionally and physically. We, or at least I, as a man search for the divine feminine (as women search for the divine masculine) and complement it when I spot it.
The paradigm shift in our understanding of testosterone's influence on behavior is both enlightening and refreshing. This documentary challenges stereotypes and reveals the subtleties of this hormone's effects, emphasizing its role in promoting selflessness and strategic behavior. Thank you for this eye-opening exploration.
My experience with testosterone is it makes you more confident. I realized this when i suddenly found it easier to turn down sellers on the phone or people just asking for my charity. I knew my levels were low but i didn`t realize in wich degree it affected me. I am earlier diagnosed with Dysthymia, a mild chronical depression. My entire life has consisted of a complete lack of any goal or ambition. No drive whatsoever. Shit. I realize i don`t care enough about sex to try and do anything about it. I do have it, but i am usually alone. Guess i`ll start treatment again. Nothing to be ashamed of. Just the way it is. Stay testy.
Just because you arnt confident that doesnt mean your low on test.... its an accumilation of other factors. There is a reason why doctors check your testy levels last. When everything else has been tried first and failed.

omg, my story is exactly like the young guy in the beginning. But this starting happening in my 30s, for some I reason i just wasn’t feeling right, year over year, i slowly started to lose muscle mass, low mood, anxiety increased, night sweats so bad I thought I wet the bed, brain fog and zero motivation. This didn’t seem to me to be normal aging, but I had no idea what the heck was going until in my late 30s when it all manifested itself as extreme insomnia, full blown depression and anxiety. It was like I had a nervous breakdown but yet there was no trigger, nothing in my life was going on that that would cause it. Doctors thought i had depression or anxiety and was giving me all sort of pills for sleeping, the depression etc. But i kept telling them, there is something else going on, this isn’t normal for me. Then when I mentioned to my doctor I have been feeling kind of disconnected downstairs so to speak she immediately had a full hormone panel drawn. After suffering for so long, I finally had some kind of answer, my testosterone level came in at 234ng/dL. Second draw came in at 168ng/dL. After ruling out any tumors in my pituitary with an MRI, my endo started me on testosterone injections right away. The conclusion was the same, for some reason my HPTA was not sending enough signal for testosterone production and they have no idea why. Whatever the cause the treatment is the same. Within weeks and over the months and now couple of years, I have completely transformed. It’s like god himself raised me from the dead, all these odd symptoms I had had over the years completely went away. Not only do I feel like a normal person, I feel like I have reversed my age by atleast 10 years. It’s amazing how you feel with proper testosterone levels, I keep mine in the upper normal range right around 850ng/dL and feel pretty amazing.
peter amokeodo I require TRT for life. They ran blood tests, did an MRI of my pituitary, no tumors, they could not find a reason why my testosterone was so low. Either way, 80mg of testestorone cyponiate once a week. Gets my TT up to around 850-900ng/dL at mid-week.
I had a similar situation, been using Androgel for about 2 yrs now. The first 2 to 3 months taking it I noticed fast muscle gains and felt better than I had in a decade or more, but now it doesn't seem to have quite the same effect as at first, and I'm still not as motivated as I would like to be.
This guy was a med student & was able to figure it out - AFTER a diagnosis of depression. The “psychologisation” of illnesses in Germany (& elsewhere) has become truly lethal. Well, it is simply not true that science takes longer to help women. Just look around at all the products and research that is being done for women, but not for men. The take-away: "Testosterone influences our personality, and our personality in turn influences our level of testosterone." This chicken-egg conundrum is found in all so-called life sciences. Someone ought to compile a list of instances where the cause is also the effect. It would be a very long one.
"High functioning" lmao...no. High functioning is all about emotional intelligence. We incarnate to experience adversity. Without adversity there is no growth. How you deal with adversity all comes down to coping mechanisms. Societies with good coping mechanisms thrive, societies with poor coping mechanisms see much more violence. People have hard time even just accepting variables in their lives as they are. We have little control over external variables but we 100% control how we view & process the external. There is ALWAYS death, disease, apathy, and destruction. There is also ALWAYS love, happiness, hope, and kindness. What you see is merely a reflection of your internal world. High functioning is a state of consciousness and this world needs to raise its resonance.

From my perspective testosterone just magnifies what you already have or what you wanna do and induces impulsiveness and increases your energy levels indirectly.
all of the results of the first experiment can be described in just one behavior - it makes a man more assertive/active. They are more generous when they are generous, they are more meaningful when punishing someone and they are more generous when rewarding someone. They just do more of what they would normally do.
I would say low levels of testosterone create fogginess in the mind which can lead to indecisiveness, lack of motivation, and concentration. So normal or high T levels will create mind clarity, strategize a lot better, and overall feel good about your self (confidence). I dont believe generosity was the factor I think it was overall being more logical to the outcome which may have looked of being generous.
I think staying at the normal range is always best. It's not advisable to have high T. It's like depression and mania, both are very dangerous. Staying in-between is best.
I had that issue. I thought I was depressed, but I did a T test and my levels were very low. I just started loading with a pill supplement and I felt back to normal within 2 weeks.
Testosterone gives you the ability to think with a sound mind and makes you a happier man overall. You are more driven and competitive which is very important in life. If someone has an attitude and is arrogant that is because they weren’t raised properly or don’t have proper morals. Testosterone is a hormone and if it’s low you will experience physical and mental health issues
Not Always true. For transgender women Is Essential to get rid of testosterone And most of them would confirm it's causing aggression hidden in competitive approach. Testosterone can cause Anxiety And depression as well for some type of people, usually for trans people.

Equally if u have too much of it u become a handful for people. Always shouting short tempered and edging on paranoid. Over alpha maling talking over people sometimes without noticing. People that have low test also may have a life without conflict and uncertaintly. They are more reserved and well behaved and less risk taking. In many ways a more stable man than an alpha type Sometimes certain personalities and characters are better off with less natural testosterone. While im a strong advocate for trt for people with low test it is not a good idea for so many people to now believe its the answer to their personality flaws or motivation deficits....testosterone is sometimes a driving factor but its not usually the sole source of problems.
I hope someone gets to read this. This is basically a reply to comments where I'm seeing some arguments (or something) about western culture, feminism and other things like that not a response to this post per se. In my opinion, none of us are listening to each other. Wouldn't it be great if we all listen, man or woman, knowing that rightness and wrongness don't belong to a gender. Evil has no gender either. I am a woman, and I know that there's been generational oppression that women are acting out now. What should be men's protective nature has wounded some of us, our mothers were controlled, slaves to people who are their lovers, sometimes beaten and our daughters were sold as pricy properties, check history. Where I am, I've had to push really had to take away this 'I am a property mindset.' It legit messes up with a woman's mind. In lots of African cultures, a woman is only whole and valid, if she is married. If not, she's her father's. Till someone comes get her. But men have their own grievances too, some men have worked out their asses for their families, and have been treated badly by their wives. Some men go through emotional, mental and even physical abuse too, caused by women. Someone's reality doesn't invalidate your own. Yeah, extremities hurt. But a lot of people are just sharing their reality buh our insecurities make us feel attacked. Empathy is a human thing. When you sit and think that you didn't choose your gender, that nature gave it to you, you will not feel so entitled to anything. Nobody owes you bullshit. We are all flawed. We are more than chemicals in our body. When we realize we have things to fix in ourselves, we would be ready to change. Selah!
At least u are accepting that men go through stuff too. And men are not respected if they are not married tooo. Ppl will assume all kind of things if a man is not married and equate us to weekness. Boys got sold as slaves and get raped too.But i agree that these effects are more on women. All power was in hands of few men not all in the past. My ring finger and index finger are the same length. I had to have fertility treatments b/c of PCOS. I only got my period on average every 6 months. My bone density has always been low even when I was in my 30’s. Now that I’m 50, it’s even lower. I think this all has to do with PCOS b/c of the effect it has on hormones. I also have felt like I had no energy all my life but especially since I was 40. I’ve also struggled with depression. I think it’s all linked together. It’s a crappy card to be dealt.
I've had chronically low T from a lifetime of long distance running. TRT truly gave me back my quality of life. I was able to quit antidepressants and my energy levels are through the roof. I feel phenomenal, and I'm not at all more aggressive. It was a gradual improvement over about 6 months from starting TRT. With these results, I have zero problem staying on TRT the rest of my life.
A lot of your problems disappearing are from stopping ant-depressants.. Until you have had hormone treatment which stops the production of testosterone and your testes shrink to the size of your pinky nail do you realise what it does to your body. Testosterone inhibitor make you aggressive, where you were not before. Likewise when you stop the Testosterone inhibitor you again become aggressive. This is because a change in hormone production throws everything out of kilter. The Andrologists are still trying to discover how testosterone affects the body and brain.
Interesting analysis. Testosterone seems to be the source of “vigor” or “vitality”. Whether good or bad behavior, you are going to be more alive with higher testosterone.
Conversely, men have higher instances of renal failure than women and also have shorter lifespans. Testosterone may make you think that you have 'vigor' but in the longrun, you'll have a shorter lifespan.
@Benchmark Land There's definitely a science to it. Testosterone is associated with increased methylation in the body which along with inflammation, oxidation & glycation is one of the four processes through which aging is accelerated. Methylation (like the other three) damages the organs. [There's a video I've seen of a 25 year old body builder here on RUclips who discusses how his GFR went down several points after he started taking high levels of testosterone. This for me definitely established a link between testosterone & renal failure]. Go into any Dialysis center on any given day and you'll notice four times as many male clients as you will females. Another interesting thing is DHT (dihydrotestosterone) which is a metabolite of testosterone is a growth hormone antagonist. So the more DHT, you have (thinking you're such a man), the lower your level of GH will be. And we all either know, or have heard of GH's positive anti-aging, healing & regeneration effects. Men with higher levels of DHT also grey faster. Let me tell you an accidental self experiment I ended up running on myself. I took finesteride for hairloss and low and behold, I proceeded to look the same for the next 2 decades. At some stage, I indulged in treatment to reverse the processes and though my erections were great, I noticed signs of aging on my skin (for the first time in 2 decades). I then read that taking T & Dht curtails spermatogenesis & I really wanted to be a dad so I stopped the T & Dht & thankfully it hadn't affected my fertiity. I soon realized it was the T & Dht I had taken that had 'aged' my skin somewhat and added some negligible greys tn my head. Having gotten fatherhood out of the way, I started finesteride again & noticed the youthfulness once again. Its literally becoming questionable to those who've known me for a minute and give me a look like, so what are you up to? I'm my mid 40s and look like I'm in my mid 20s. Heck I'll take it. I now intend to keep my T levels in check for the duration of the time I'm on this good earth. I mean its cute when you first start producing it as a teen but ultimately, it ages you. And I believe we just dont need the amount that our bodies produce, and I feel sorry when I see some snake oil salesmen doctors trying to sell T to aging men who instead of amending their diets and adding exercise to their daily routines, want a quick fix to feeling better (not realizing the long term consequences). So yes, Al-Jahiz was definitely on the money. Ironically, like Al-Jahiz I also happen to be Muslim (pun intended :-)], though definitely not a scholar.
@@GeorgiaIsOnMyMind I thought part of the reason men had shorter lifespans was because they're taller than women on average? The heart has to circulate blood in the body more often with taller people. Not saying this is 100% the reason, but tall people, both male and female, do have shorter lifespans than their short counterparts.
@@PKMNFan4664 Do you have any studies on this? If so, do post here. It would be interesting to know how much height difference makes how much a difference to longevity. My guesstimate is not much, and a 5'4 woman and 5'10 to 6 ft man could have equal lifespans. I think the only time it would make difference would be if the man is 7ft or something like that, but I could be wrong, and am open to being educated. I also think it could come down to having a healthy heart. An aging heart is likely to give out sooner and it is not unknown that men suffer from heart disease more than women do. Hello testosterone once again.
The huge issue is that household chemicals like shower gel or plastics do reduce the natural testosterone levels. Things like plastic items, Parabens in shower gel, Phtalates in body spray, phytoestrogens in beer, Triclosan in toothpaste.... etc. Basically the complicated hygiene products are a chemical mess that destroys the natural hormone balance for vanity obsessions.

So ive been going through the same thing as the first gentleman at 27yrs old. One of the first things i noticed in my first few doses on hrt is an overwhelming sense of wellbeing. Super calm, sedated almost it seems. Im very content. Keep in mind im also pushing my hormones to the higher side of of the scale. I could certainly be aggressive but i was more irritable and more violent before i started therapy. Since then i haven’t had a single moment of rage, havent snapped on my loved ones. In fact overall I’m more patient and that might because of my reaction to this new sense of well being but one things for sure I’m the least aggressive then i have ever been in my entire life.

High testosterone in men is linked to higher longevity. It causes you to be fitter and leaner, therefore not obese and susceptible to weight related comorbidities.
@Waldel Martell for most people, eating healthier. Working out some. And getting enough sleep is enough to balance hormone levels optimally as is. Though there are a fair number of exceptions to this.
I have suffered sever depression sense I was 18 also unable to put on muscle... got put on TRT when I was 19 and instantly my depression stopped and I stuck to my normal routine at the gym and put on muscle mass... doctors originally didn’t want to test my trt at that age! Glad I paid and got it checked. I’m now 35 and have been on and off it.. when I’m not on it I get aggressive and depressed!
Feed the metabolism whenever it’s hungry? No i’m constantly hungry, fasting is good for you, it naturally releases something important that slows aging.
@@alexw9923 Fasting helps increase natural growth hormone. But to much fasting can cause cortisol to rise which inhibits testosterone production. So you want to keep a balance of fasting and eating by replenishing your body with the necessary nutrients and macros that it needs.
Women need testosterone too, so there ought to be some research on levels of testosterone in women. I imagine a smaller dose of testosterone therapy for women could result in increased energy and aid in focusing on goals. These are beneficial to both sexes. Also, they didn't mention whether it can aid in losing weight, just that having a big belly causes testosterone to decrease. It would also be useful to mention natural foods or nutrients that cause more production of testosterone that could be a more balanced solution.
Yes thanks for your comment, I agree, why ‘male’ hormone, women have it to, as someone who suffers from very low levels it has taken a long time to be taken seriously by doctors, finally I have a prescription and can lead a normal life again, more noise needs to be made about this especially as the only place it is regulating the world for some is Australia!!
@Sammy my main symptoms were very high stress levels and anxiety from too much cortisol not being controlled as well as depression but worst has been the chronic insomnia, it would certainly cause depression if too low in women!!

@jorge rodi trt is only testosterone replacement. Hrt involves test and at least one more substance. Could be test and growth hormone, as an example. They are not the same thing.

My back pain was sometimes debilitating and my moods were swinging wildly because of it. I've been on test for about 3 years straight now. My core strengthened supporting my fussing vertebrae lessening my back pain. Today I weigh 225 to 230 lbs I have no back pain. It hugely improved my sex drive. Before test my deteriorating back affected my libido. Today my wife is often sore and loving it.😉😍 My physique, mood, appetite, confidence, strength and sex drive came back. I didn't become aggressive or irritable. BUT I got harrier. Man scaping from top to bottom is a constant thing now. It has changed my life.
I was diagnosed with low testosterone about 12 years ago and I have been taking testosterone replacement (androgel) for the past 10 years. I'd like to know more about the side effects of testosterone replacement therapy(TRT). More specifically, I'd like to know what the current studies and thoughts are about whether TRT is linked to an increase risk of heart disease. The reason I ask is because I am now 58 years old and to my surprise, this past summer had a stent put into my left anterior descending (LAD) artery due to a 50% blockage near the top and an 80% blockage near the middle of the artery. I have always eaten a healthy diet, I used to be a marathon runner, I workout at a gym, and have always kept myself in very good physical shape. When I talked to my cardiologist, my endocrinologist, and my primary doctors about it I hear conflicting information. Both the cardiologist and the endocrinologist don't think TRT is a contributing factor, but my primary doctor seems to think it could be. I'd like DW Documentary to do more investigation into any possible link.
There's too many variables. That's why you're getting conflicting opinions. The first and foremost factor is genetics. Do you have a family history of heart disease? Also, some people have elevated ideas of what a healthy lifestyle entails.

Being calm and self-assured makes you attractive to other people, more testosterone gets absorbed by receptors in response to such behavior which makes it easier to behave like that. It's an upwards or downwards spiral. Being fit increases metabolism and the generation of new hormones.
I think animals whom are not calm produce more testosterone. Staying physically active and positively aggressive seems to be the only method to continue testosterone levels at there height.

The researchers completely missed that in the first study, the boosted acts of generosity had to do with being observed. This is not, at it's heart, purely pro-social behavior in the form of actual generosity. This so-called "generosity" is therefore at its heart self-oriented, i.e., selfish, and advantage-seeking. That is inherently non-sharing behavior, because its underlying motivation is for personal gain, especially where sexual advantage is concerned, apparently, since it occurs often when women are observing according to the narrative. A typical overlook that men will make when observing men's behavior, I'd say.
Interesting viewpoint, though I wonder if your statements are based on science/ fact/ study vs your biased opinion. It kinda comes off in a negative tone, but that may very well be due to the fact that I exercise generosity for the benefit of the person(s) receiving it. I've been at points in my life where generosity at the hands of others, both known and unknown to me, really moved me emotionally, and answered questions I didn't ask, whether it be for pride, embarrassment, or self-proclaimed independence (aka "I don't need anybody's help; I can get there on my own.") It took me years (I'm 47) to find a comfort level in accepting other people's acts of generosity in the spirit that it's given. Of course, there are those who perform these acts for the sake of gaining recognition/ acknowledgement/ etc, and have negative responses when they feel they didn't receive it. But that's not applicable to everyone, regardless of gender. I credit it more to individual experiences, growth, maturity, and viewpoints.

It’s high levels of estrogen that cause mood swings. You will find that men with high testosterone can sometimes aromatise the testosterone to Estrogen. This is when they are aggressive
High estradiol is far more likely to cause emotional instability and "mood swings" than high testosterone. Not saying the cardiovascular and ocular issues aren't awful as well but, the whole mood swings and aggression is more related to estradiol and progesterone. Not Testosterone DHT and Nandrolone.

It can go both ways. It really comes down to what type of person you are.
It's the inbalance not that it's low because either too low or too high can make someone more angry.

So when my girlfriends complain ( and they do ) I remind them - they had 21 years learning to deal with complex emotions BEFORE you became an adult, give your husband a break

There s nothing divine about testosterone. However, it s mythic through and through
@@archiej6386 Have you never heard about the divine masculine and divine feminine?

Stay testy.
damn, you just described me, guess i gotta go have my testosterone levels checked, hope you can overcome that sometime soon!
Are you overweight by any chance? Also how's it going
Just because you arnt confident that doesnt mean your low on test.... its an accumilation of other factors. There is a reason why doctors check your testy levels last. When everything else has been tried first and failed.
How? No doctors are willing to even test if my testosterone levels are low.

omg, my story is exactly like the young guy in the beginning.
I worked with a doctor who treated men with low test
I could see the men change, it was amazing
Specifically what treatment do you take now?
peter amokeodo I require TRT for life. They ran blood tests, did an MRI of my pituitary, no tumors, they could not find a reason why my testosterone was so low. Either way, 80mg of testestorone cyponiate once a week. Gets my TT up to around 850-900ng/dL at mid-week.
SRC yeah I can tell you, it’s a game changer. If i could describe it one word it would be pure “awesomeness”

Testosterone is pretty much the reason we have a high functioning modern society.

Always shouting short tempered and edging on paranoid. Over alpha maling talking over people sometimes without noticing.
People that have low test also may have a life without conflict and uncertaintly. They are more reserved and well behaved and less risk taking. In many ways a more stable man than an alpha type
Sometimes certain personalities and characters are better off with less natural testosterone.

Selah!
Thank you.

Interesting analysis. Testosterone seems to be the source of “vigor” or “vitality”. Whether good or bad behavior, you are going to be more alive with higher testosterone.
Yea man absolutely 👌👌👌

@Waldel Martell for most people, eating healthier. Working out some. And getting enough sleep is enough to balance hormone levels optimally as is. Though there are a fair number of exceptions to this.

Mine tested very low and I was in a severe depression , often contemplating suicide. Now after finding the problem everything is normal again. The only problem is doctors use a average baseline. I dont want average. I feel like my old self at what they determine is to high. optimum is where you need to be , not average.

Highly informative & very educational about Testosterone & HRT, thank you so much DW!

I credit it more to individual experiences, growth, maturity, and viewpoints.

it's actually estrogen that triggers aggression.

Not just a male hormone!!!! Women have more testosterone than oestrogen!

Would be great to add some more information about impacts of low-testosterone levels in women.
Women need testosterone as well. It's crucial for fertility, not to mention it helps give them confidence and drive just like it does for men.
I don't think I'd change my levels, I like who I am, how I think, how I feel.. I feel properly balanced, even though my beard doesn't grow on much of half of my face.. I also look very youthful for my age, and have a very feminine male appearance in my facial structure, except for my nose, which has a strong humped bridge.. I have a very hairy chest and big pectorals, biceps, forearms, and leg muscles, but I'm a sensitive soul, cry when I have to hurt people (though if I know I can take it and don't fear for my life, will just let people beat on me,) and Inside, I feel half female, half male, though I am straight in sexual preference and physical identity. Spiritually I feel like a balanced masculine/feminine soul. I am secure in myself.. Very secure...
I think it's all about self acceptance, and having others accept you and reinforce you positively, that leads to happiness and comfort in ones body, though some don't need reinforcement. They reinforce themselves, like myself...
I'm sure testosterone has its highs and lows though, like any chemical change...
Man up men take TRT if your middle aged with Low testosterone. And young men , avoid alcohol and exercise in nature in mountains or hiking and gym for weight lifting muscle development. And you will have high testosterone and strong, energetic and active always confident and low risk of depression
