Since you are located on a Golf Course w/ Sand Traps, you should do a Comparison Test of landing/take offs, using Wheels vs Skis on Sand.
I vote for skis!

If you bought the value bundle, you should have everything in the kit to do tricycle except for the wheels. I ran to the hobby shop to get some smaller wheels.
Ship kits with wheel collars. Maybe FT does now, I'm just starting this kit my wife gave me 2 Christmases ago. The holes in the firewall to mount motor X-member needed reaming, in the end, the screw heads stripped out. FYI

Seems much stronger than the Simple Cub one ... but how do you steer the plane during taxi if you glue the BBQ skewer to the fixed part of the rudder?
Much better design on the tail dragger front landing gear. The old foam-only design just tears up the fuselage. I've been making my own wood brackets just to avoid this. Hope to see this come to older models as well.
Hey guys, I just ordered a couple of these kits, but can't figure out what comes in the hardware kit with it. Specifically wheels - does it come with any?
At the end when you say adjust the nose, how would you do that? Bend the wheel wires? Seems everything would be fixed in plage otherwise.
What wheel collars? I didn't get any in my kit?
This was a disappointment for me as well. That and the size holes in the plastic firewall, the included screw heads stripped out, even after manually reaming hole beforehand.

You show how to build it with tricycle gear but you don't tell what your plan is for stearing the nose wheel. The main problem is that you show bending the wire and you should have put a stearing arm on the straight part of the wire before the last bend so you have some way of grabbing it to stear it.
