I watch these videos as background just because one day when I have the time to actually build one, I might have absorbed something that will help me with the process! It's almost ASMR too.
I'm going to get this plane for Christmas. I've built, flown and finally crashed to death the FT Simple Cub (now have plenty of spare parts. 😊).. This model appears to be a model very similar to the Cub but built even stronger. I think I'll go with the tricycle gear because landing the Cub without nosing over was near impossible. Think I'll mod with flaps using my spare Cub servos. Thanks!
I'm Italian and being passionate about rc planes I follow you with a lot of interest, I really like this plane but I can't buy it because the shipping costs are practically the same as the plane itself. I would be very grateful if someone would tell me if there are templates of the plane so I can build, even if they have to be paid for given the wonderful work these guys do.
I myself are trying to find the plans. I think F.T. went away from their free plans. I kinda got out of the hobby for the last 4 yrs, but now getting back into it. I've always loved the F.T. family and their plans, but not able to find the plans for any newer designs, frustrating.

At 02:22, you say "Make sure your pieces look exactly like what you see here.". Bur the camera angle does not permit that - not even close. The viewer needs a shot of the pieces looking down.from straight above. Also, since pieces are not labeled, the viewer cannot identify them by name. So each time you refer to a piece by name, you need to zoom in on that piece so the viewerr knows what you are referring to. There's more, and I am still trying to guess which pieces are "The Top Hatch" and "The Top and Bottom Fuselage Covers".... The brass ring would be to number the pieces and provide a lookup list of numbers and names. -- Pete Cresswell
Also, since you are using FliteTest's 300-watt glue gun, it would be a good idea to caution the viewer to not set the gun's heat any higher than halfway between Low and Medium because higher settings will melt the foam. (Don't ask how I know this...) -- Pete Cresswell
Or how about a video just on hot glue gun use in general? Then, at the beginning of esch "Build" video, you could advise the user to review the Hot Glue video. Some possible topics: * Temperature Settings: for your 300w gun. Different temps for different glues? Different temps for different materials? Different temps for different situations? * Recovery Techniques: In some vids, the user is advised to check angles with a square tool. But I have not seen any advice on what to do if a glued piece is found to be out of plumb. Hot air application to soften the glue? If so, what temperature? * Sitcks Running Out: Some operations take long enough that the glue working time is really close and running out of a stick in the middle of said operations can leave the user with hardened glue before parts are assembled. * Stick Replacement Technique: Just jamming another stick in the gun leaves the user with an unreliable feed.
Dude, Josh talks so much! Like narrating each and everything, "Now I'll come back with my triangle" was like a 100 times😂😂. I mean the build video can be cut short to half if the focus is simply on showing the build with their hands. No offense, these videos are great as is. However they can be made less boring and extra long.
I'd be willing to bet their analytics show that their primary audience is younger kids. I agree though that the videos could be much shorter/compact/less bloated.
