This is virtually the same plans as the FT Simple Cub which I finished building using dollar store foam boards. After that I decided to give their laser cut foam board kit a try for the FT Tutor Turbo Wing plans and I can verify I'll never print off plans again when I can use laser cut plans. Everything just comes out sharper and easier to put together. Hope this helps.
I was wondering the same thing. I now know you can get lower gauge wire push rods (thicker) on Amazon for next to nothing. Just a fyi for you on my first scratch build using my own parts with free printed FT Simple Cub plans I had a huge issue with the rods I bought being too bendy and on my first test flight it inverted within 10 seconds straight into the ground broke prop but lesson learned....don't try to hand launch and install non bending rods...lol
It works much better than trying to screw into foam board (not happening) or adding wood plates into the foam for every server adding weird weight and messing with cg...I think they've proved their method works flawlessly ...I mean bub you're on RUclips right now, be a critic after you've actually watched them and 50+ other people proving they fly great.
Could I make the aileron full length on the trainer wing (non turbo)? Could move the servo to center of aileron..

how do I center the servos without the tool?
plug them into your receiver and they will Center

I don't mind it. Quite enjoy it even. It's not too loud or distracting.
